The walk to the Firefly office from Faro airport arrivals is quite long. When we finally arrived we found the office CLOSED. The hire was arranged for 17:00 on the afternoon of our arrival. I tried to call the number displayed on the office door but had no answer. After half an hour of searching in 30 deg. of heat, I finally found out that Hertz Rentals were handling Firefly's rentals on that day. The Hertz agent told me that Firefly's office is sometimes open and sometimes closed. !!!!! There was no attempt to apologise. The Hertz agent declined to inspect the rented car and suggested that I should take my own photos of any damage to the car before leaving.!! I was completely unfamiliar with the car but the agent declined to help and showed no interest. The next time I will most certainly look elseware. This is an appalling conduct towards customers. Everyone seem to be forgetting the fact that we, the customers, keep these rude people in employment.

DO NOT book a car with Firefly. They refused to give us the car we had booked unless we bought extra insurance. When we tried to cancel the insurance afterwards, it was not possible to reach them by phone or email. It was only when we returned the car that we received an answer that we would get our money back. After another two weeks, we received an answer that we will not get our money back without any reason whatsoever. They cheated us from the very beginning and never intended to refund our money. F**cking thieves!

DO NOT BOOK AT FIREFLY!

Booked a car through Carjet for a holiday in Portugal. Used them as the car would be via Firefly, the budget arm of Hertz, So felt confident that I would be OK.
Collection of car was fine, returned it undamaged on time. However when I got back to the UK I found out that I had been charged twice. Once by Carjet and once by Firefly. I have been trying to get my money back now for 5 months with no luck. Both companies have said that they are investigating but neither have done anything.
