I have had various accounts with this bank for about a decade. Never any issues. Setting up an account is easy. Creating answers to security questions is simple and straightforward. The answer you provide can be completely made up, but make sure to remember your answers for future reference. Once set up, accessing your account is also straightforward. Thus some previous negative comments by others seems a little far fetched. Whenever I've phoned customer services, the phone has always been answered within roughly 2 minutes. I have a number of fixed rate accounts, which have always been very competitive rates. Thus no complications or complaints whatsoever.

Straightforward process opening new savings account
Opened a fixed term account with FirstSave yesterday. Yes security questions were a bit lengthy but nothing arduous. Received e-mail with all the necessary passwords and account details within the hour. Funded the account without any difficulty and the money appeared in my new account later on the same day.
If I had a request it would be for an online App so that I don’t have to use Google to log in each time I access my account. Only a minor inconvenience however.

Opening account
Chaotic administration. Told temporary password would be emailed, it wasn't. Then told unnecessary.
Site then said bank authentication needed and wld be posted. Nothing came.
Then told not needed. Eventually letter came and said it was needed!
Lost confidence.
Am not investing in Firstsave

Awful processes and outdated technology.
Setting up the account is the worst of any bank I've used this century: Clunky interface, and waiting on codes to be sent by snail mail.
The website interface is mobile unfriendly and extremely outdated. Seriously it's 2025 not 2010? Maybe if you were their customer 20 years ago you might appreciate the unchanged interface, but things have moved on for the rest of us.
And then I wanted to do a test transaction of £10 before submitting more money. But after waiting a day it got returned! (No helpful messages to tell me this - I just noticed it on my bank statement.)
They're clearly not investing in technology so I'm not going to trust them with my savings. I've already gone elsewhere and had an account set up and money transferred within 20 minutes. (And it works nicely on my mobile.)

Don’t waste your life!
I agree with another recent reviewer the password and other requirements are impossible to process to open an account. I gave up after an hour and therefore WONT be investigating my £85000! Thank god for reviews ..how ridiculous!

Ridiculous security checks
First Save have crazy security checks which guarantee that you will never be able to log in.
It is next to impossible to come up with an 8-15 character memorable name. First names are too short, first names and surnames are too long. The same is true for food, objects and memorable events.

Always very efficient
