I've been waiting for about a month now…

Update: After giving fixed over a month to fulfill their obligations I will be paying the original tech who properly inspected the HVAC problem out of pocket to fix the problem. Meanwhile I plan to speak with an attorney and seek damages from Fixd. I recommend that others avoid Fixd or hire an attorney if they are in a similar situation.

I've been waiting for about a month now to have a HVAC coil replaced in Texas in the summertime. Today Fixd sent a technician out who did not do the initial inspection on the leaking coil. This tech had no prior knowledge of the problem, did not bring the part that was allegedly ordered, and left without doing anything beyond confirming that there is a leak that needs to be fixed. The app claims that customer support is unavailable during business hours and it's not even a holiday today. Luckily I found a phone number and got through to someone but they basically told me they don't have any answers at the moment and promised to call back.

I've had good experiences with Fixd in the past but they are not the same company after being bought. I would recommend that anyone considering them look elsewhere.

Fixd Repair has recently partnered with Cinch Home Services and was forced to pass your job along to their network of technician to have the work completed. Therefore the new vendor assigned to your job needed to reassess what was needed and would not accept a prior diagnosis. We are apologetic that this has further delayed the repair but have been advised that the technician has ordered the necessary parts and will return to complete the repair once those have been received. $100 paid, no service received…don't waste your money on this warranty company!

I have placed two service calls recently (in the last three months now). The first service call, the technician came out and said he would get us a quote and never followed-up (despite us following up). I should have known better, but I scheduled a second service call for plumbing, and the person never showed up. I have been trying to reach someone at Fix'd for over 1.5 months to issue a refund of the two $50 service fees. I've spent well over $100 in my time, and it is nearly impossible to get a response from anyone here. We were likely lifetime customers, but given we can't even get a hold of anyone, why would we continue to buy this warranty?

What happened to Fixd?

We got Fixd in November and until the merger had very pleasant experiences with the company. Unfortunately our latest experience is harrowing. A leak in the upstairs bathtub has kept us on hold with their terrible (formerly top-notch) customer service representatives for hours with no answers. The tech that showed up was terrible, cut a hole in the ceiling, put a little putty on the drain and said that was all he could do. I have requested a new tech three times and have received no help. Still have a hole in the ceiling and no usable bathtub as the water pours through the ceiling. I live in a major City, there should be no shortage of plumbers but they somehow can’t find one? Or do they just want to steal my money and rip me off? They were such a good company and now have lost my future business and referrals.

Don't give them your business

Terrible customer service as I have to make multiple calls to speak to someone and stay on hold forever because no one picks up the phone so I finally hang up. I spoke to someone a few weeks ago and she put me on hold for 20 minutes and never came back. We have been without one of our water heaters for 4 months and all they can tell us is the parts are on backorder, but they don't know when they will be in. The service guy who came out in April to install the parts said the wrong parts for an entirely different unit than ours were ordered in February, but they were overnighting the correct parts which is obviously a lie. Parts department was supposed to call my husband back a few weeks ago and never did. No one seems to care at this company!

UNACCEPTABLE - WILL NOT RECOMMEND

As a Realtor, I am very selective recommending service providers to my clients. Fixd Repair HAD been on my referral list until now. They were recently acquired by Cinch in May 2021 and the customer service has fallen off the charts. The app and website do NOT provide an option to book a REKEY service which was offered as a FREE service with the upgraded warranty package. Even more frustrating, it is not easy to get a live representative on the phone. After holding and explaining we were trying to schedule a Locksmith I was put on hold after 20 minutes and then was disconnected - The "advantage" of Fixd was it was intended to be easy and hassle free to book (on app) and was managed LOCALLY - This is no longer the case. If you can't get a simple initial service such as a rekey, how can you trust that they can handle a more complicated repair. Fixd/Cinch will NO LONGER be on my recommended warranty provider list. Disappointed!!

DO NOT LET YOUR REALTOR TALK YOU INTO THIS COMPANY

Why can't I give zero stars? This company operates in bad faith. Today is the second time I've been messed around by them and it will be the last. I'm lodging a complaint with my realtor who recommended them - I am furious. My late husband was a plumber for 40 years. I understand how plumbing works and as we built two of our own houses, I have helped with plumbing. I'm a senior widow now with no tools and I paid for the home warranty as I can no longer manage everything. The day I moved in the master bath sink was slow but with Covid I decided it could wait a little while but not forever. Week before last the toilet started leaving behind little bits when you flush - not every time, but I know how this goes and it will continue to get worse. When I created the ticket on the app I plainly said the sink and the toilet are slow and THEY NEED TO BE SNAKED. This time, instead of arranging and scheduling the plumber they sent me a phone number and told me to call the people myself to arrange the time. Guy gets here today, walks into my house with 2 screwdrivers and I told him he would need a snake and he ignored me and went to the bathroom came out in less than 5 minutes, told me there was some hair under sink stopper and he took that out and that should fix it and I said no it needs to be snaked - its been that way since I moved here in November and there was no hair in it then as it was a newly flipped house. Then he said he flushed a couple of pieces of toilet paper down the toilet and couldn't recreate the problem and wanted me to sign a paper which I refused and he left. So I got on the Fixd app to discuss and to get my money back and there was a wait on the chat. But it also said my position was 2 so it couldn't have been that long. The someone comes on chat and tells me they're busy and to send them my email address and they'll email me. I asked why email? They repeated the same thing and were not allowing me to wait. And as I suspected would happen - no email. No big surprise. I checked the reviews on the "plumbing" company they sent - 1 and half stars and they've done exactly what they did to me to countless people. Fixd should have checked before contracting with them - but then they don't seem to be much better themselves. Please avoid them and do NOT let your realtor steer you to this company.

My friends signed up for Fix'd and was very happy for a year...I called up and got a rep to sign me up. I called her back but she never returned my call. A couple weeks later I got a call saying do I want to sign up. I asked why the no return call turns out lady had a baby.. ok fair..

I said sign me up. I was told they had just merged with a new company confirm and it would be $200 more with higher tech fee... I told them I locked it in at the lower rate..to no avail.. Then I asked for a manager to call me...over a week later no call.

Google the reviews of the merger company Clinch VERY bad reviews. Fix'D should of not merged in my opinion..service is worse and price went way up.. These are just my opinions.

This company is THE WORST

This company is the worst. My monthly plan keeps canceling itself, so I am left with no coverage. Their customer service number is buried in their website and impossible to find. Can't get anyone to answer the phone, and email, or chat anyway. Their live chat is supposed to be live right now, but it's shut down. Got my microwave replaced 3 months ago with the promise it would be covered, just to be completely ghosted by this company. Definitely just going to cut my losses and move on.

Well crud, the app is nice - that’s about all I can say

Well, a friend of mine recommended this home warranty and I went ahead and signed up. I like that it has an app and it seems like a great concept. Today is May 18 and my service is supposed to go live next week (May 25). Evidently there is a one more waiting period before your service starts (which is understandable) but that isn’t clearly explained when you sign up - you are told after you have paid. So I paid a ~month ago but my service doesn’t start until May 25. I should have looked at reviews when that happened but did not think much of it at the time. Today, I decided to look at the terms of service. Pulled up the app and clicked on “My Plan” and the top right corner there is a “terms” box to click. When I click on that, it goes to a broken link. Then I googled reviews for Fixd and found this website. I should have done that before signing up but my buddy had recommended them. So I am trying to decide whether I should cut my losses now and cancel before my service starts as I should be able to get 100% of my money back given that my service hasn’t started yet. Tried to chat with someone online, waited in line for 30 mins only to be told by a bot that they were too busy and to leave my email so that they could contact me. Why doesn’t the app know who I am? I am signed into my account with my credentials, why would Fixd not know who I am? If this is any sign of how they handle people that aren’t even officially covered yet, I am terrified as to how they would handle a broken AC in the middle of a Texas summer. I did provide my email but have not received a response. Will give it another day before canceling and potentially disputing the credit card charge.

Is this company still in business? The phone goes nowhere. The chat goes nowhere. I had an email, auto replied to use another email. That one bounced back. Tried to book a repair, two days later no tech and no one will reply to anything. Help!!! I am in San Antonio. What a waste of time and money.

Horrible experience

Their scheduling department is so unorganized. Do not recommend. Fixd always finds a reason not to cover stuff. I never had these issues with AHS. Please, run far away from this company. The wrote us a check for a fraction of our built in refrigerator when they couldn't fix it. They also claimed that an outlet on our house wasn't covered and then charged an exorbitant hourly rate to fix it. It's good that we're moving to another place because we will not renew this shoddy excuse for a home warranty company.

Worst homeWarranty company experience!!

I have two claims on a Houston property. One is a Hvac motor, the other is a refrigerator not working. I have been waiting 3 weeks on the Hvac and 2.5 weeks on the refrigerator. They do no answer there phone... ever. Their app does not work (it says it is closed and only open 8-8). Well my message was at 3:12pm. I had appointments with both techs today. One came and dis not fix the Hvac, the other has not shown up at all. I have called over 10 times and cannot get a call back.

Also, there text message system does not respond. I have screen shots of all of this..

I own a brokerage office and have Refered their services to several of our clients. I will never be using them
Again. It is the worst home warranty company out there. Their technology that they Brag about in their pitch does not function at all.

Waiting forever for refrigerator repair

I tried to schedule a refrigerator repair on Feb 18 and had appointment for Feb 22. It was then postponed to Mar 1 and again to Mar 4. They ordered parts on March 5 and still no word on when they will arrive. I contacted customer service 4 times and no help whatsoever. Meanwhile, I have been living without a refrigerator and freezer for 37 days and counting with absolutely no effort by the company to get it “Fixd” and no clue when it will be fixed. Not worth the premium they charge.

I wish I could give them zero stars! We also have used several Home Warranty companies and this one is a sham! I’ve been without an oven for months with them saying they were ordering parts. Only, to find out months later that there are no parts to be ordered. We opted to just buy our own oven and still waiting for their $500 replacement check. We were also charged a $50 fix fee on the oven that was never fixed. Still waiting for reimbursement of that $50. We never get calls back even though they say they will call. We had plumbing issues and they again say parts are ordered. They charged us two $50 fix fees for both plumbing scheduled issues. We paid them, and my husband ended up fixing one issue and we need refunded that $50. Still “waiting for parts” that could be ordered off Amazon on the other plumbing job. We also paid extra coverage for our pool. Had a claim on March 4th for it. Waiting for the part to come in and paid the $50 fix fee, but no updates on anything with the part and can’t contact anyone. I foresee this company going into bankruptcy soon!
I plan to let all realtors know DO NOT recommend this company if they value their customers. I would never use a realtor again that recommended them after our experience! We would like our $650 dollars.

BUYER BEWARE!

I've had several home warranty companies over the years and this is by far the worst. It took several months before they fixed my dishwasher and weeks before they sent a tech out for a dryer repair. Now I need an electrician and it has been over a week and they still haven't scheduled a tech. The only way you can talk to customer service is by the chat feature on the Fixd Repair app. I've told them to have a supervisor call me on the phone so I can get help and they say a supervisor will call me. They never do. This company is a joke.

Update:
Your delayed apology below is not accepted. Its a shame that a billion dollar company such as Fixd Repair treat most of their customers who need repairs with little or no respect. Waiting for weeks and months for a repair is unacceptable. Like I said before, this company is a joke!

#FIXD Home Warranty and ANGI Home Services SCAM

#FIXD Home Warranty, part of the Angi Home Services monopoly has stolen from and lied to our family for 66+ days, sending countless people into our home and continuing to leave us without a hot water heater for 66 days!! A family of five and we boil water to wash dishes nightly, have no hot water for laundry and are short a bathroom because of this. FIXD has done everything to censor us and has removed our reviews from their numerous platforms in a vagrant attempt to silence us. They are not listening and do not care. They are liars, frauds and thieves with no regard for harming paying customers. They know all about this and do not care. In fact, they said they would pay us to buy one on our own, but now they are telling us we must sign a document saying we will remain silent and delete any negative reviews before they cut the check. They are threatening us because of their unethical practices. We won’t do this as they have lied from day one and they will not follow through on anything they say. In fact, they said they would also refund the remaining time left on our contact but today said that would amount to $0 and ended the contract, leaving us high and dry while their pockets were lined even more. We have reached out to everyone and are desperate for them to do the right thing. They have zero integrity and deserve a massive lawsuit. We have had multiple home warranty…

We have had multiple home warranty companies over the years, and they have all been great til now. This has been the worst company ever.
We had a bearing go out in our convection oven (Jenn-Air double oven) they said they could not find the part, then told us they would only pay us for the cost of the undefinable part and that it was our problem. The dishwasher same thing... but the guy that showed up also leaked water all over the floor, and I had to basically beg him to remove the unit to get the water out and it took him forever to do so.
When I texted them today, it was really sad how it was handled. We will be going with a different company going forward as they truly cover nothing.
