Poor Transparency and No Reliable Written Proof for Extra Charges

I have shipped many LTL loads through FreightCenter, and unfortunately, many of those shipments were later charged additional fees, forcing me into repeated disputes.

These disputes are extremely time-consuming and disruptive for a small business. What should have been straightforward freight bookings turned into months of back-and-forth, taking attention away from daily operations.

The most concerning issue is that extra charges were automatically deducted, almost as if the money were taken by default, without proper justification. When I requested carrier-issued proof (adjusted invoices, reweigh tickets, scale records, or signed driver documents), the responses were incomplete or unsupported.

Even when I had evidence on my side, disputing these charges through the bank required significant time and effort, often stretching from one month to the next. This creates a serious burden for any business relying on cash flow stability.

I strongly advise anyone considering FreightCenter to handle all communication strictly via email. Avoid phone calls. In my experience, conversations by phone were vague and non-committal, and later charges appeared without written confirmation, leaving no solid documentation for chargebacks.

Finally, while several disputes were still pending, my account was deleted, along with order history and shipment records. If I had not saved my own copies of disputed shipments in advance, I would have lost critical evidence.

Overall, this experience showed a lack of transparency, accountability, and documentation discipline. I would strongly caution other shippers especially small businesses, to be extremely careful before using FreightCenter.

Above and Beyond Service

We recently entrusted this company with one of the most delicate and challenging projects imaginable: transporting 56 pieces of sacred Buddha statue molding from Sumter, South Carolina all the way to Salina, Kansas. This was a massive undertaking requiring precision, care, and coordination, and they exceeded expectations in every possible way.

Special thanks to Evan in customer service. Originally, we had canceled our booking due to scheduling concerns, but after re-evaluating our options, we decided to return to them, and choosing them again was absolutely the right decision. From the moment we came back, Evan worked relentlessly to make everything happen. He coordinated every detail, secured the equipment we needed, and ensured the entire job was completed within an exceptional time frame. His dedication, communication, and commitment were far beyond what any customer could ask for.

We also want to give five stars to Anthony, our driver. He was extremely patient, professional, respectful, and calm throughout the entire process. Transporting fragile statue pieces is not an easy task, yet he handled everything with the utmost care and understanding. Despite the difficulty, he even completed this delivery during Thanksgiving week, a time when most drivers would be unavailable or rushing. Anthony made sure everything arrived safely and without a single issue. GPS tracking his move every step of the way.

If we could give more than five stars, we absolutely would. This company delivered not just our shipment, but peace of mind — and for something as sacred and irreplaceable as these Buddha statue pieces, that means everything.

Highly recommended for any specialized, fragile, or complex transportation needs. Their professionalism and commitment truly stand out.

No follow up

Shipment was picked up and delivered on time.
However, I have been stone walled by my rep for a signed copy of proof of delivery, it's been a week now since I requested the documents and still nothing. Without documentation signed for proof of delivery my company can not get paid. Major pain for me to have to deal with my customer, who is the federal government. It's going to be next to impossible to get it.

Great service

Sergio called based on request for a quote. Asked all the right questions and guided me thru the process. Was able to ship my item for a reasonable amount much cheaper than ups or fedex for a large bulky item. Good communication and timely status updates.

Real time Price Comparisons between Carriers

Evan worked hard to help us out when a carrier failed to show up repeatedly.
We scheduled a freight pick-up with another carrier and got our equipment delivered.

I looked for and found Freightcenter.com when a carrier we have used quoted us $2,000 only for insurance for shipping a few network switches across country.
When we completed the order with Freight Center, the total bill - including $52,000 of insurance and freight was only $450 - everyone was much happier with that price (more than $2000 savings!)

Fast, Friendly and Efficient Service

So far my experience has been great. I have been in touch with Sergio Arenas as my account rep and so far each shipment has been handled quickly and correctly with no issues. When there were edits needed to the BOL these were handled with no problem and right away. We booked a last minute shipment and this was picked up and sent on time. I also requested an early pick up and Sergio spoke with the local company that was doing the pick up and ensured we got the service we needed.

Great freight shipping experience

We had an excellent experience working with Ashley Witt at FreightCenter. We shipped a sofa and a chair from Seattle to San Diego. Our shipment was unusually small and we had a hard time finding a reasonable price on the market (started at $3500 and hit the bottom minimum of most shippers around $1300). Ashley called us back with the proposal to drop the furniture directly at the closest transportation hub and pick it up from the SD hub. I never thought about this option before and it lowered the price to $590. Ashley's offer was a game changer for us and now the furniture is at destination in SD. Also the shipping company picked by Ashley, XPO, provided an excellent service. Our furniture was not palletized for freight shipment so they did that for us plus full forklift handling very promptly and at no extra cost. The entire experience was seamless, much better than we expected.

High marks to Elise Dirr at Freight Center for her outstanding, over-and-above assistance in booking my cross-country shipment to Arizona. As this was personally my first time using an LTL service, her attitude, professionalism, and follow-up were unmatched in guiding me through this unique process and I could not be more satisfied. fast and easy sprinter van shipping

needed an important manufacturing component shipped from MA to KY for repair and return as fast as possible. Requested sprinter van direct and from initial phone call to van on site for loading was less than 2 hours. freight was delivered next day before noon. Same for return shipment....simple phone call asked to reverse the BOL and had a van at the repair center in less than 2 hours component was at our door at 5am next morning. Easy process and the rep kept us informed of the progress thru email both directions.

I would definitely use FreightCenter again and highly recommend them.

Travis was wonderful to work with and very helpful and responded quickly to all of my emails and calls. The company contacted me quickly after I made an inquiry on the website into having our large equipment shipped from Texas to California. The shipping company they found for us was right on time at the pickup location and we had our equipment in our possession 3 days later. I would definitely use FreightCenter again and highly recommend them.

Sergio is the BEST!

Sergio Arenas has provided excellent, consistent and thorough customer service every step of the way on my first experience booking LTL Frieght cross-country.

I’m so thankful that he was the first response in my search for more information, and his phone calls are always informative, positive experiences - his sense of humor and can-do attitude is always welcome. He went the extra mile to make sure I locked in a good rate, even when I called at 4:45 pm on a Friday!

Fraudulent Charges!

They are able to create random charges and since you give them your credit card they can charge it without any recourse. There is no way to know the charge or dispute. I was charged a 10% charge for a "waiting" fee which didn't happen. Be careful..

1 and Done

1 and Done. I recently decided to try freightcenter for LTL shipments. Their website is easy to use, and sales staff are friendly enough. I cannot recommend Freightcenter because I ran 1 pallet single blind roughly 700 miles for $400 except the freight got reclassified because the weights and dimensions were off by 1lb and 7" in height which resulted in another $110 charge by Freight center. What was the 1 lb 7" you ask? The DO NOT STACK cone added to the top of the pallet. The carrier wanted to charge me $40 for the reclass but freightcenter charges $70 + a $40 dollar processing fee. I cannot recommend this shipping broker.
