Great Customer Service..Final Review Pending Billing Dispute

I have limited experience doing LTL shipping, but my previous experiences were a hassle in nearly every sense of the word. Difficult to get quick/accurate quotes, difficult to contact a live person and get quick responses, and then when I would finally get information from these companies the rates were almost always outrageous. Well, my first experience working with Freight Ctr and their rep Lashaunda Goines, was the exact opposite of those previous experiences. I had a time sensitive shipment that I was doubtful I'd be able to have picked up in time. However, Lashaunda couldn't have been more helpful. She secured a very reasonable rate for me, and walked me through the entire process with quick and insightful responses. Quite honestly this woman deserves a raise!

*EDITED 9/2...Similar to some other reviews I'm seeing, things were great until I received an 'Adjusted Invoice' with highly vague descriptions of why I was being up-charged $468.11, (+44%) from an original bill of $1057
>Class...+$340 (it can be very difficult to give exact weight/dimensions when scheduling a shipment, but this is a huge up charge when I know my specs weren't off by more than 5%)
>Accessorials...+$87.72 (this one cites 'liftgate delivery' but from the beginning I clearly stated this was being delivered at a job site w/ a forklift. The delivery happened precisely as I stated, with no issues and I paid $78.95 for a 'limited access delivery' on original invoice
>Processing Fee...+40.00 (call it the *cherry on top)

My Fright Ctr rep, Lashaunda remains very helpful but this billing nonsense is mostly out of her hands.

Final Review pending the results of my billing dispute. For now, I downgraded from 5 Star to 4 Star. Stay Tuned.........

Absolutely terrible

Absolutely terrible. The only thing you can count on is that they will have terrible communication zero accountability and will charge you a 20% fee even though your order may not even be picked up or delivered.

Freight Center Saved Me In Multiple Ways!

After purchasing a large commercial item from out-of-state (and then having the company quote me extremely high price for shipping), Freight Center, specifically Cameron Leach, helped to quote me multiple, much more affordable, shipping options. Cameron was kind, thorough, and patient with all of my questions during the booking process (as well as follow-up questions I had after our initial call). Phone and email communication were above and beyond. Cameron at Freight Center made a stressful shipping situation extremely manageable and easy; I deeply appreciate it.

Matthew Grill helped make my first time…

Matthew Grill helped make my first time using a company like this to have products shipped from out of state easier than easy. Very thorough very efficient constant updates when shipment was picked, ETA, and notice when driver was on his way. I will and suggest to use this company again and again. Thanks again Matt

It was Joseph at Freight center that….

It was Joseph at Freight center that made my experience perfect! He kept me in constant communication. I needed the safest packing and shipping available and he found it within my budget. Other companies could not compete. He was also more knowledgable than other outfits as to what my specific requirements were shipping a 250 LB vintage pro tape machine clear across country. I will reccomend him and Freight Center to everyone. Thankyou Joseph!

Only rating as high as I am because Heidi was an absolute angel to work with. She worked with me on my quote and altered the pick up spot 3 times because of the unorganized mess on my end. She went above and beyond to help me out and I so so so appreciate her for it.

2 Months Later, Bed still isn't delivered & no one knows where it is

I ordered a domestic pick-up & delivery for a sleigh bed for $1400 (which is insane to begin with) on May 6th. Got an estimated delivery date of 5/20/25. The company couldn't confirm anything for days. They keep blaming this mysterious 3rd party who is doing the actual shipping. "He never calls back." Finally got actual pickup booked for 5/23/25 and they didn't show up, after my son in law stayed home from work all day. They picked it up 4 days later on the 27th and now the bed has disappeared. Still not delivered, no one can provide any tracking on it - just absolutely insane & incredibly poor service. They're very nice on the phone, then never follow through on ANYTHING they promise.

Great Customer Service

We have used Freight Center for a few years now sending a couple shipments monthly. We have always had a professional experience. Our agent, Kelli, has always went above and beyond to make sure everything is accurate and fair. She is prompt in getting us set up and always returns call in a timely manner. I appreciate her attention detail, general knowledge base of the industry, and her friendly disposition each time we communicate. We will always use Kelli when doing business with Freight Center.

3 days still waiting for pick up

Booked a pick up and just got off the phone with a dismissive representative that informs me, a pick up is just a request.....how ridiculous is this? How do you run a business that needs to be on schedule when this is the attitude of the service provider. I tried them out because of a good rate quote, they have already charged my card, but waiting 3 days now for a pick up is not acceptable to me, but business as usual for this company. Never again!

Horrible experience

Horrible experience. Received 3 different quotes because the agent kept "accidently missing things". I spent in total an 1 hour and 45 minutes trying to book a simple pick-up.

After we booked the pick-up our quote went up $300 for "adjustments". Then after delivery they attempted to charge us an extra $585 for restricted access and a 200lbs weight adjustment. Additionally, we booked the pick-up with a lift gate, the truck that showed up didn't have one.

Original Quote: $502
Adjusted Quote: $785 (After Booking Pick-Up)
Post Delivery Adjustment: $1,087

Our expenses doubled after we scheduled pick-up. I'm going through a lengthy battle with their dispute center. I've provided proof of weight, proof that the location isn't restricted, etc. and am still waiting on a resolution.

To top it off, our agent, James Patterson was extremely rude and dismissive. I've filed a formal complaint with Freight Center as well.

Would not recommend freight center for…

Would not recommend freight center for any shipping needs. I booked a service over 1 month in advance and noticed shortly after that my order was not showing up in my portal. I called several times to ask why and everyone kept saying it’s because a driver hasn’t been assigned yet since it’s far in advance but everything is good. Fast forward 1 week before my supposed shipping date and I still haven’t heard anything from freight center or my driver. I tried calling several times but had to leave voicemails for my rep. He never called back, I had to keep calling each day until I finally got a hold of him. I asked if he had heard anything about my shipping pick up since it was now just days away and he said he would check and call me back. Never called back, I once again had to follow up with him. Found out that the order was never placed on their end and I didn’t have a driver. Wouldn’t be able to pick up my bed for another month which was well past when I would be moving. The only thing freight center did right was reimburse me but it has still been a huge headache now trying to scramble to find a shipping company last minute (exactly what I was trying to avoid by booking over a month in advance). I do not recommend this company if you want good customer service and reliable shipping.

I shipped 2 pallets the same day to 2…

I shipped 2 pallets the same day to 2 different locations. The driver mis-entered the PRO-numbers for each shipment, sending them to the wrong locations. I initially worked with Freight centers customer service, but I would hesitate to use the word "service" here! After several WEEKS(!) it became clear that nothing was being done proactively to get my freight re-routed and no further contact had been made to the freight company. I received several erroneous emails from customer service stating the freight had been picked back up and re-routed, only to find out that it was still waiting for pickup. After weeks and weeks of lack of any progress, I contact the freight company directly and the freight was picked up in a few days! Then, Freight Center allowed the freight company to back charge me for the pickup and rerouting of the astray freight, knowing full well the back story and Astray Freight situation! Now, customer service refuses to refund the over-charge until the freight company reverses the charges AND ARE NOT ACTIVELY TRYING TO GET MY MONEY BACK! I can't ask the freight company for my money back since they charged Freight Center (and Freight Center charged me!). Now Customer service REFUSES to assist in getting this refund because, I "went directly to the freight company directly, so they won't help me now!"(?) - WHAT!!!!! What a bunch of spiteful OLD BIDDIES you have working in customer service. They don't do their job, then get pissy when you go around them, and actually get it done in minutes, not weeks! Just the most PITIFUL and DISGUSTING treatment I have ever received in the 40 years I have been in business. Now 4 Months and still nothing! 0-STARS! P.S. Using another freight broker now.

I've had nothing but wonderful…

I've had nothing but wonderful experiences with this company. I have only worked with one employee, Jezzriel. He handles the entire pickup process from finding the driver to scheduling it with the company for pickup, and drop-off is always the next day. Drivers have all been very friendly.

Outstanding Service from Lashaunda Goines

I had a great experience working with Lashaunda Goines, who truly exemplifies excellent customer service. From the start, she was friendly, knowledgeable, and clear in her communication. She took the time to walk me through the shipping process step-by-step, helping me understand my options and ultimately saving me money on my shipment.
