They charged me almost $1,000 for a…

They charged me almost $1,000 for a pallet from Virginia to Utah. At first, it was over $700. They charged because they were going to drop it off in a residential area. It arrived late, and the driver refused to unload the load even though I had already paid for that service. They took the load and returned it hours later. They left it in its original location, and a week later they charged a surcharge of almost $200 because some inspector decided the load was too heavy. They took the money without any permission. In other words, they charged because a driver refused to do his job, and they had to send another one. They are abusers and thieves. Don't hire them.

With your shipment, your quote was rated at the weight you provided, 1,341 lbs. The carrier weighed it, and there was an additional 404 lbs (1,745 lbs total). It wasn’t a surcharge but a charge for additional weight. We would be happy to send you a copy of the Weight & Inspection report from the carrier.

Friendly, efficient, but not communicative

He was very friendly when he got here. The boxes were in good shape and he was quick to get them unloaded. We did not get one small box and the shipper had to send it another way. However, I did not receive any calls about when the shipment would come in or confirmation even after I called. Also, I asked for the delivery to happen by 5pm and it only came in at 6:30pm, again, with no phone call until I reached out.

Great service at a reasonable price !

This was my 1st time dealing with FreightCenter, so I was a little nervous, because the pick up date was crucial. I dealt with Abe Akinyemi, who was always available to answer my questions. He assured me the truck would arrive between 10-11 AM on the day I requested. It arrived at 10AM. The truck driver was also
very helpful.

Told me pickup would be Monday between…

Told me pickup would be Monday between 8am and 5 pm, Never showed, I called and they told me next day, same 8-5 window. They showed up @ 5:15pm. Then I got a addtional charge that they claimed they had to load the 2 pallets onto truck. Luckily We had taken pictures of Us loading pallets onto their truck with our forklift. I sent them the proof, they said it would take 4 months to issue refund. Never again

Sergio was very patient

Sergio was very patient, friendly, and efficient. He explained everything and got us the best quote. He helped guide us through the whole process. Was told it could take 2-3 days to deliver but it actually delivered the next day after pick up. The driver of the trucking company SAIA was on time also. The transaction went smoothly. Will definitely work with Sergio and FreightCenter again.

We've used FreightCenter once so far…

We've used FreightCenter once so far and had a really great customer service experience with Sergio. He was very informative and provided the best deal for our customer. He did follow ups with me which was a really nice touch. My only complaint was I requested a pick up time window and even though it was noted on there, it wasn't honored. My business closes at 4pm and a driver showed up at 3:50pm ready for pick up and I had no one here in the office to help him until 4:15pm when a co worker came back to drive the forklift for me. Other than that, I have made Sergio my point of contact for all future jobs. I really appreciate his hard work and dedication to my customers satisfaction as well as my own as a business owner. Thank you again Sergio for all your help and patience throughout this process.

Started Strong, But Service Fell Apart

We had a mixed experience with FreightCenter. Our first two shipments went smoothly — pickup and delivery were on time with no issues. However, things quickly went downhill.

On our third shipment, they rebilled us an extra $157.42, citing a 2 lb weight discrepancy. Our scales were recently recalibrated, so this felt petty and unreasonable.

The following week, we scheduled a large shipment of 17 pallets. The driver failed to show up three times. After repeated delays, we requested a cancellation, but they only refunded 80% of the cost — despite the service failure being entirely on their end.

If you're shipping a single pallet occasionally, FreightCenter might work for you. But if you ship regularly (3–4 times a month like we do), we’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

With your shipment, the dimensions were slightly larger than originally provided during the quote request. This discrepancy changed the freight class and resulted in a billing adjustment. The adjustment wasn’t just for the additional 2 lbs. We’re sorry it was listed that way on your invoice. As a courtesy, we have refunded your credit card for the billing adjustment on that shipment.

As a Third-Party Logistics Company, FreightCenter requests a pickup from the freight carrier on the requested day. Unfortunately, they don’t always make it to pick up on that requested day. When this happens, they will roll it over to the next business day. Sometimes it can take several days to get a shipment picked up. In your case, it was a large shipment, so they may not have had a dedicated truck available.

At this point, you requested a cancellation as the pickup location did not have any availability for the rest of the week.
FreightCenter’s cancellation policy is a full refund to be held as store credit to use on a future shipment or an 80% refund if you want a refund on the credit card used.

The agent pointed this out to you when you spoke on 3/19/25 to put your pickup on hold.
We would have worked with you to get this picked up when the pickup location had availability.

When I first called.

When I first called.. I had no idea how to ship anything, Sergio and his (crew) walked me through it with ease, we plan to use freight center for our future shipping business, the staff is very friendly and helpful.

unethical cancellation charges

Very unethical booking cancellation charges even if cancellation is done just minutes after booking. I was charged 80 dollars penalty which I consider a forced taking of my money. There are better options out there like freightera.

When customers book shipments online, we verify that all of the information is correct before proceeding. We do not want there to be a charge after the shipment delivers. The class on your shipment was incorrect. When it was corrected, the price increased. This is not a hidden cost, but a correction.
We appreciate being a FreightCenter customer since 2021, and completing 5 shipments with us. Our Terms and Conditions clearly state that there is a 20% cancellation fee if you want your credit card refunded. We also offer a 100% refund in the form of “Store Credit” to be used on a future shipment.
We understand that you are not satisfied with the outcome. We feel that we have addressed everything in our previous conversations.

I have been working with JD and I can't tell you how much I appreciate his level of communication and hard work. There was a time crunch situation for a shipment pick up and JD handled it so professionally. Today I received my delivery and everything was perfect from start to finish.

They overcharged for a residential…

They overcharged for a residential delivery, charged 10% over the price they quoted. Said the carrier wouldn't budge on the overcharge. Note I paid a premium on the pickup and delivery for liftgate and residential on both ends of this transaction. Other than the overcharge everyone at freightcenter was helpful and friendly.

Since there is no option for 0 stars, we had to give 1 star.

We received a price quote for our load, which had a clearly defined weight and dimensions, and used their services. However, after the delivery, they charged us an additional $600. Despite our objections and requests for a refund, we could not get any resolution. In our opinion, this company is not reliable. We recommend working with alternative companies.

I've never had to handle setting up to have something shipped before and Sergio was a God send! He was so helpful and explained in detail how it would work and what was needed. He handled everything proficiently and kept me informed as to the status. Shipment was on time and in good condition! Thanks sooooo much Sergio!! I'll definitely be giving you a call for my next shipping need!

Would leave 0 stars if I could stated I used a liftgate and charged me $163 for it after 3 weeks of pallet being delivered, where i personally loaded the pallet on the truck and they said they need a picture of some sort to prove it so i asked give me a picture where i did use it horrible service drivers never again lost a client who ships non stop first and last time

Since the liftgate was not included in your original quote, the carrier added the fee to an invoice after the shipment was delivered, this is then sent to FreightCenter. Generally, they are sent to us 30 days after the shipment is complete. At that point, FreightCenter processes the additional fee from the carrier and passes on the invoice/charges to our customer.

Our disputes department requested further documentation from you so that we can dispute the liftgate at pick-up charge. We have yet to receive the information.
