Customer service and delivery nowhere to be seen

Purchased Saturday for next day delivery. Monday nothing. Tried to contact them, no reply. Now end of Tuesday and still no reply, tracking number doesn’t work, no sign of product. I paid 9.99 for next day. Absolute scam, avoid! Terrible customer service for the pure fact you can’t even contact anyone! When I do finally get through to them I will be expecting a refund for the 9.99 postage I paid for next day delivery

Update: Current delivery date being shown is now Wednesday (I’m not holding my breath) still no sign of anyone from customer services. Let’s hope they get notified of this review and it incentivizes them to communicate on here. I will be sure to tell anyone I know to avoid this company at all costs based on my (factual) personal experience with them regarding appalling lack of customer service availability and communication. From reading the reviews below I can see I am not the only one who has had a poor experience.

Best company to buy from!

I've purchased face framers from this company twice and I love them! My hair is thinner round the fringe so I purchased baby face framers which look so natural and give me a fuller fringe. They come in a stylish package and the hair is good quality and remains shiny. They are easy to clip in and the colour blends in to my natural hair beautifully. I would recommend these! Order #18917

Beautiful extensions

Having used extensions for years, I can confidently say these are the nicest quality hair I’ve ever had! Seamless clips which blend with ease and the hair is so silky and realistic looking, not too thick and easy to style - I’ve had tons of compliments! My only complaint is the response for a colour match was very slow, but very happy with the colour advised which was golden. If I were to buy again I would go for the golden with root, which I think would blend even better. Order #19470.

Good quality products - Poor customer service - only offered to send to the manufacturer for a repair on an item that was faulty upon delivery. They think the consumer rights act doesn’t apply to hygiene items.

Great products, but customer service needs improvement.

I’ve placed four orders over the past three months because the products are excellent quality. However, when I needed to exchange an item for a different color, the process took weeks—eventually resolved, but far from smooth.

Recently, I ordered a set of extensions as a gift. One piece arrived with a faulty clip. I reported this immediately and was asked to send a video showing the fault (and even asked if I had used the extensions—how could I, when they were defective?).
Today, nearly a week after my initial email, I received a response offering two options: return the item so the supplier can repair the clip (which will take several weeks) or accept a discount to keep it. This is unacceptable. The item was purchased only a couple of weeks ago—and as a gift! Why should I wait weeks for a repair? Why not simply replace the faulty item?

I will now be contacting my payment provider to escalate this. If you never encounter issues, the products are fantastic. But if you do, be prepared for poor customer service.

Update 08/12/2025 - the seller said that under consumer law, you are not entitled to a replacement - only a repair. This is incorrect and that rule only applies when you simply change your mind. It does NOT apply if the item is faulty.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you have full legal protection. If the item is faulty, you are legally entitled to:

1. A full refund (within 30 days of receiving it)

If the product is:
• damaged,
• defective,
• not as described,
• not fit for purpose,

…then the retailer must refund you, even if the item is a “hygiene” or “non-returnable” item.

They cannot refuse based on hygiene rules.

2. Repair or replacement (after 30 days, up to 6 months)

If you’re past the first 30 days, the retailer must offer:
• a repair, or
• a replacement

And if the repair or replacement fails, you then get:
• a full or partial refund (your choice in most cases).

Terrible Customer Service

I did not receive my item back in September and I have been battling for a refund ever since. I was not home at the time of delivery and Gee Hair made me wait for a Royal Mail investigation when I complained of non receipt of the item. When Royal Mail provided them with a signature, a photo, and a GPS near my house, they simply said I can't get a refund because they can't get compensation from Royal Mail with these proof of deliveries. The photo shows the parcel in the postmans trolley, not near my house or with a door open (huge reg flag!) and the signature is fraudulent and is not mine or my partners! The GPS means absolutely nothing as it could have been scanned and put on my doorstep for anyone to take or scanned and the postman took it. These "proof of delivery" are no proof at all and Gee Hair do not care that their customer did not receive what they paid for, they only care that they will not get compensation, so that means the customer loses out. I have never in my life had customer service so bad! Gee Hair choose to use Royal Mail, not the customer. Gee Hair can clearly see the proof is not legitimate proof so they should take this up separately with their chosen postage provider and provide the customer with a solution. I have had to get a refund from my credit card which is a huge process, not to mention all the time wasted trying to communicate with Gee Hair.

If you have a problem, do not expect Gee Hair to help you or to give you a refund.

Your order was escalated to Royal Mail for a full investigation. They confirmed successful delivery with a signature, photo, GPS scan and a driver statement. On that basis, we were not able to refund or replace the order, as the courier confirmed it had been delivered.

You have also not received a refund for this order, so the claim in your review is not accurate, and we would appreciate you updating your review to reflect the truth.

I ordered from them twice

I ordered from them twice. The first time I received an empty box. The second time I received nothing, but it showed as if the order had been delivered. I paid customs twice, and they didn't even respond to my emails. I have to pay for nothing. They are very rude, they don't help you, and they almost never respond. I'm very disappointed that I trusted them.

Gee will not take accountability for their mistake

Ive continued to be an unhappy customer despite contacting them on email they have failed to reply to me again and they continue to debate over the fact they DID NOT send the sample, its beyond me that they are so incredibly incompetent that just by the fact they sent a photo with the product unpackaged that they think this is enough for them to have not sent the item. Also worst of all they continue to try and silence me, why do you think i will continue writing these reviews? Because i feel not only conned, i paid you for a service, i have NOT received the sample. Just tell me one credible reason why i would lie about not receiving a sample? Worth £3? Why would anyone lie about that? Why am i so angry about a sample if i had received it? Just think to yourself why i have never complained in the past, but your incompetent way to run a business and fix this is exactly why i will continue to write these reviews to tell people the truth that even over a simple mistake worth £3, you wont even fix the issue, that shows you how horrible this company is to deal with, im sure its costed you more than £3 to reply back and forth to me in your time alone? To me the fact that im not trusted as a person is what will keep me writing these reviews. Also stop trying to take my reviews offline, this is unbelievable you have made a error, denying it and trying to silence me this wont happen and i keep looking out for those emails to respond quickly since you dont want to resolve it.

The worst company ever, you will lose your money

The worst company ever, the worst customer service. You will get fobbed off, any problems whatsoever they are not interested. They dont send you the order and its not their problem. Gee this is the start to the end of your company, every bad review is damaging your business and you’ve made people angry. Your responses to complaints is disgusting will make sure to never use your service again

Disgusting service

Disappointed – Product Didn’t Work for Me and Return Process Was Difficult

I wanted to share my personal experience with Gee Hair. The product I received didn’t feel as I expected based on the information online. To me, the hair felt quite coarse and synthetic in texture, but they say it’s not and I do trust that but hair didn’t feel
As good as I’m used to. which wasn’t what I had hoped for. I had spent more than I could comfortably afford, so this was really disappointing.

I then tried to arrange a return, but I found the process difficult to manage. I’ve been dealing with health issues and am mostly bed-bound at the moment, which made everything more complicated. I explained this and asked for some guidance or clarity, but I still struggled to understand exactly how to move forward with the refund. I was willing to have someone return it on my behalf, but I didn’t feel confident about the outcome based on the responses I received.

I’ve used other higher-end brands before, and my experience with them has been easier in comparison. I’ve tried to handle this situation reasonably, but it’s been a stressful process overall.

I’m sharing this purely so others can know what my experience was like with the product and the return process. Based on this experience, I personally wouldn’t purchase again..

When your order arrived, you let our team know you were happy with the quality of the hair. Your initial concern wasn’t the texture, but that you felt you didn’t have enough hair and wanted additional pieces sent out to you free of charge. As a small business, we couldn’t offer the extra pieces for free.

To support you, we offered a 25% discount on any additional pieces, which you declined. You later stated your extension was faulty, so we then invited you to return it for inspection and a replacement if a fault was confirmed. We also offered to arrange a collection from your home. Both options were declined, which meant we were unable to investigate or help further.

We’re always here to assist, but we do need the product returned to resolve any concerns. Our offer to inspect the set still stands if you’d like to proceed.

Unfair experience – company keeping both my payment and my item

Terrible customer service. I ordered hair extensions from this company, but the colour I received looked noticeably different from the photos and description online the sample provided doesn’t give an overall colour or thicknesses likeness so the package has to be opened. After sending the item back, they refused both a refund and to return my own hair extensions unless I paid an extra £4.99 postage fee.
They repeating the hygiene argument, but again, that only affects your right to a refund — not your right to have your own property returned without extra cost.
No company can keep your goods and your money as leverage for another payment.
This means they are currently holding both my goods and my payment. Despite several polite attempts to resolve the matter, the company insists this is part of their “policy,” which I believe is unfair.
I’ve now had to escalate the matter to Capital One under Section 75 and Citizens Advice / Trading Standards. I would urge anyone purchasing from this company to read the small print carefully before ordering, as their returns process is not as straightforward as it appears.

A colour sample was included with your order so you could check the shade without opening the sealed packaging. If the colour wasn’t suitable, the item can be returned for a refund or exchange as long as the hygiene seal remains intact.

As the item was sent back opened, we’re not able to restock or refund it for hygiene reasons. Currently, we are holding it safely for you to collect or have it redelivered.

I recently took all my extensions out and got my hair cut short to try and get it healthy again. But when going on a night out I felt like my hair was so underwhelming!! Nice Start, Disappointing After First Wash

At first, they seemed perfect - silky, smooth, and good quality when they arrived. However, once I washed them for the first time, the texture completely changed. Even when using filtered water and gentle treatments, the hair became rough and difficult to comb. Unfortunately, it doesn’t stay the same as when it’s new.

With time, the more I combed it, the more hair started to fall out, and the extensions became thinner. Overall, I can’t say I’m happy with the quality it’s quite disappointing, especially considering how nice they seemed at first.

Quite lacklustre customer service

Quite lacklustre customer service. I have ordered many times and it's fine, unless you need to return something.
One of my orders was accidentally refused at the delivery point and I had to chase it. They didn't inform me that it had been returned. It also took over 28 days or 4 weeks to get a refund when they could see from tracking that the item hadn't been delivered.
Another order from the beginning of October has only just been refunded. There are quite a few out of stock items and no free returns or helpful labels which you would expect given the probable sales volume. Please also note that, if you return anything, they will refund the product less the original shipping fee so you will always pay that if you need to return or exchange. If you then add the registered post it will cost you to return the item, it will easily cost you in excess of £20 even if the hair is the wrong colour. For me it was a £23.99 cost in total for one return. Bear this is mind if you aren't sure about the colour. There are also lots of officious messages about not opening the packet.
The hair is nice. It's good quality and arrives quickly if you pay the express postage. Although I am now ordering from somewhere else where the hair is also really good and a slightly better colour for me. Overall the product is good quality but there is no sense of being looked after as a customer.
Update: regarding their answer below. The hair is sent by Royal Mail and so they can see if the package isn't delivered. I could see it on the up to date tracking that it hadn't been delivered and so they can definitely see it.

With refused or undelivered parcels, even when Royal Mail tracking shows an item hasn’t been delivered, it still has to travel back through their returns network before it is scanned back to us and physically received in our warehouse. Because a refused parcel isn’t a “standard” return, it usually takes longer to work its way through Royal Mail’s system and, once it does arrive, it also takes a little longer for us to process than a normal booked return. We can only issue a refund once the parcel is actually back with us, but I agree that a four-week wait feels far too long and I’m sorry you had to chase this. Our standard process is to issue refunds as quickly as possible and always within 14 days of us receiving the return.

In terms of costs, it’s correct that original shipping is non-refundable and that returns are paid by the customer. This is stated before checkout and in our returns policy, but I do understand that once you add tracked postage it can feel expensive if a shade isn’t quite right. That said, for most customers it is still considerably cheaper and less time-consuming than driving to a physical shop to try and find a match. The strict wording about not opening the packet is there purely because of hygiene regulations around human hair extensions – once the seal is broken, the hair can’t legally or safely be resold.

We never want a loyal customer to feel they’re not being looked after.
