Great experience

Great experience, tried many places but couldn’t find the article i was looking for. But, Gem opticians had it in stock. Great options, authentic, amazing brands.

This was my first time ordering my glasses with them, the process was smooth. I got in touch with them regarding how i wanted my lenses, Ankit was prompt and more than happy to oblige with my requests and to answer any of my questions.

Super good experience!

Ankit assisted me over WhatsApp from the beginning of the process and helped me with product dimensions and images. I was sceptical at first because it seemed too good to be true, but it IS TOO GOOD AND TRUE. I loved the product and the packaging. Fast delivery even with standard shipping!

Gem opticians were truly a Gem

Gem opticians were truly a Gem. I started with just one order and I ended up buying 4 more. They have exceptional service and great collection of sunglasses. They deliver it quickly and the packaging is top notch.
They are highly recommended.

Gem opticians - Top Notch

I have been purchasing sunglasses from Gem Opticians for the last 2 years and I can tell that their service is impeccable. They are one of the very few retailers in India who stock the best luxury brands with a wide range of models. Ankit's service and hospitality is top notch and he makes sure that the customer is satisfied completely after understanding the customer's needs. Ankit gave me a detailed explanation of the customized tinted lenses and he is too good and humble. In short Gem Opticians is the best retailer I have ever seen in my life.

Beware of fraudsters

Beware of fraudsters! I ordered a product worth ₹36,531, but when the package arrived, I was shocked: Gem Opticians had sent me only a pair of glasses worth ₹100 inside the box. When I subsequently informed the company about this, they assured me of a refund or a credit note; however, as time passed, Gem Opticians began to change their colors like a chameleon. The owner spoke to me rudely, and the staff stopped responding to my messages and phone calls. I earnestly request you all not to purchase anything from the company named Gem Opticians; they are engaging in fraudulent activities. Please stay away from such people. I have already filed a complaint in the Consumer Court. May God help me.

Dear Rohit,

We are genuinely sorry to hear that your experience with us fell short of the standard we hold ourselves to. Customer satisfaction is something we take seriously, and every concern raised is treated with the same care, regardless of the order value.

When you reported receiving an incorrect item, we acted immediately. Despite our own formal investigation already being underway with our logistics partner and the concerned authorities, we chose to give you the benefit of the doubt and arranged a like-for-like replacement of your exact Prada order without asking you to wait. We shared photographic and video proof of the replacement unit before dispatch. This was not something we were obligated to do. It was a reflection of how seriously we take our customers' trust.

We were therefore surprised when, rather than accepting the replacement of the product you originally ordered and paid for, the conversation shifted. First to a refund request, which our published policy does not permit, and then to a request to substitute your order with a different product entirely at a discount that was not applicable at the time of your original purchase. We want to be transparent with anyone reading this: we were willing to make things right, but we were not in a position to go beyond what was originally contracted, particularly under the circumstances.

We respect every customer's right to approach any legal authority and will cooperate fully with all proceedings. However we must be honest. A customer's willingness to accept an entirely different product at an additional discount, but not the exact item they originally ordered and paid for, is something that combined with the threats made, we are obligated to flag to the investigating authorities as part of the complete record.

GEM Opticians has served customers for over 55 years. We have always believed that the right resolution, offered in good faith, should be enough. We remain that brand. But we also owe it to our genuine customers and to the integrity of our business not to allow the review process to be used as leverage to extract resolutions that go beyond what is fair and contracted.

Our doors remain open to any customer who wishes to resolve matters in good faith. As formal proceedings are now underway in this case, we are required to allow the investigation to conclude before any independent resolution can be extended. We hope for a fair outcome for all parties.

Absolute customer delight- 3 sunglasses

It has been an absolute pleasure to be a customer. I ordered three sunglasses, one for myself (Burberry), one for my wife (Michael Kors) and one for my mother (Swarovski) in October 2024. All three were delivered seamlessly and in pristine condition. Original products when delivered with such promptness, care and personalisation, they last and the same is the story with the three sunglasses. They continue to remain in prime shape given the quality. Also reaching out to Gem team for any query is just a message away. Fantastic work, I stand as a very happy customer.
