Dropped package in wrong address
I had no issues so far, until today that they dropped my package in number 28 instead of 23, and I can't pick it up on my own because it's quite heavy. I find it a bit baffling as the address also had my eircode and I've been getting a package almost every month this year

My package was just left at the house
My package was just left at the house, in plain view of anyone who could steal it. It was also left on the driveway, leaving it vulnerable to being run over. There was no knock on the door.

Friendly delivery person
Friendly delivery person, delivery on time. Product in good condition.
Sometimes I get the “out for delivery” mail then no delivery till next day, but maybe to be expected as we’re a bit out of the way. Everything always turns up though.

The Customer Service representative Paola was really empathetic, opened a case as it was more than a week that the parcel appeared stuck in France. She looked into the issue immediately. Reached out as soon as she had news and noticed that the parcel has arrived.

Ghost Logistics Service
Delivery attempt recorded, but no actual attempt was made at my address.
Disgraceful service.
My parcel reached the local parcel centre and was shown as due for delivery that day, yet no genuine delivery attempt was made. It was then simply left as “not delivered”, with no proper explanation or meaningful update.
This is not the first time I have experienced this kind of bogus delivery attempt with GLS.
GLS is an authorised postal service provider in Ireland, and section 43 of the Communications Regulation (Postal Services) Act 2011 specifically provides for complaints and redress concerning quality of service.
Separately, our “dear couriers” might also want to remember that leaving a parcel at an unagreed location without the recipient’s authorisation does not shift the risk to the consumer: under section 35 of the Consumer Rights Act 2022, that risk remains with the trader until the consumer, or their nominee, takes physical possession.
Customers should not have to put up with this sort of behaviour.
The retailer eventually refunded the entire order and agreed to prioritise other couriers in future. Completely unreliable, unprofessional and lacking even basic common sense.
Anyone who considers this an acceptable way to handle deliveries should not be doing this job.
