Heard about this company and it all worked paid out what hey said highly recommended

SCAM!!! Sent them my phone October 2025 and they haven’t paid me a dime of what I was promised nor have they sent my device back upon request. They continue to say they are backed up and short staffed. Don’t use this company they are liars!!

It has been over three months since Golden Standard Buybacks verified receiving my two i-Phones and despite numerous communications between the two of us; I have not received any payment for my phones. Based on my experience with this company; I would not recommend that anyone consider doing business with Golden Standard Buybacks.

I was paid less than half then their approved amount. I was approved on 10/30/2025 and I was patiently waiting to resolve the issue. I was promised by top management team to get my remaining balance + 5-10% Bonus on 1/23/2026. It was just a false promise. Will NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.
BE CAUTIOUS. IT IS FRADULANT COMPANY.

I had my son’s old phone just sitting around and decided to sell it. This company offered the best price on the market, so I gave them a try. It did take about three weeks to receive my payout, but I received the full amount as promised. They were upfront about being a little backed up due to the holidays, and their communication throughout the process was good. Overall, everything went smoothly, and I definitely recommend

They did let me know they were a little backed up due to the holidays, but they kept me informed and, in the end, they came through. Overall, a great experience—highly recommend!

This is a scam. They stole my phone, and never paid me. I sent them my phone over 2 months ago. Once they received it they reduced my offer from $200 to $140. They sent me a video of a scratched phone with a poor battery health, but luckily AI told me to take videos of my phone before I sent it in. I showed them the videos I took, and they apologized and offered me full $200. Then weeks passed without a response. They keep on telling me they’re going to pay me, but never do. I never write reviews, but feel like the online community should know that this business is illegitimate and may steal your phone like they did mine.

There were unforseen issues that came up with the phone. I can say though that when I reached out to the company, they were always very responsive. In the end I am extremely satisfied with the experience. They were very professional and worked through our issues. In my mind, it sometimes says more about the character of a company who works through issues than one where everything goes smoothly.

They have had my iPhone since October 16, 2025. To this point I have received $301 dollars. The agreed upon amount for the trade in was for $701. Have contacted them numerous times via email, text, phone calls, and online chats about the remaining amount that I am owed. I think they must screen the calls because it is very difficult to call the number of the business and to have someone pick up. Was told by different people that I will be paid by a certain date. Those dates have come and gone and I have not been paid. Even if this company offers the most for your trade in, I would recommend taking less from a more reputable company. It has now been over four months and I still have not received the additional payment. Have been told probably ten times that they are waiting on a transfer and then I would be paid. Finally got the rest of the money last week. Crazy experience

Very poor experience however unlike some of the recent reviews I did get paid. Sold a mint iphone 14PM on 12/1 for $480. After hearing nothing for a month I was told they found scratches on the screen and frame and reduced the price by $100. Pretty interesting since the phone always had a cover and case on both but I accepted it as I wanted to get it paid and closed.

Took another several weeks of me threatening them with filing for theft with the local PD and the Texas Attorney General. Many of their responses were along the lines of 'we've been out of the office let me check on that' with no follow up as well as telling me they were short staffed and having unexpected losses in their office.

Eventually they made a partial payment with a promise to pay the balance the next day. When that didn't happen they admitted they were waiting on their next 'scheduled transfer' which I took to mean they didn't have any cash and were waiting for their next infusion. Jacob offered to pay me out of his pocket or I could wait another five days. I told them I wanted it closed immediately, and five days later I got paid.

So not a scam per se, but a poorly run company I wouldn't do business with.

We had a few bumps along the way from the holidays and low staffing but they were able to get me in contact with someone and issue my payment the same day! Very grateful for their help and a great way to sell a phone

I received quotes from Golden Standard Buybacks. Sent 4 phones to them in July of 2025. Still have not received full payment. I have a VERY long chat transcript of multiple excuses and broken promises. Only after reading fellow customer reviews on Trustpilot did I realize that this company was fraudulent and I would never receive my full payment.

I sent them my phone over three months ago. They never paid me and have not returned the phone after multiple requests. Thank goodness it's an iPhone and I had it covered. I had to report it stolen. Also filing a complaint with the McAllen, Tx (where they are located) police department. Always an excuse but nothing but a scam.

I sent my Iphone 12 proMax to this company and they told me they received it on November 3rd 2025. They sent a reply to my email in the first 2 weeks but has stopped communications. They have not paid and has not returned my phone. I will advise people not to send their phones to this company.

Offered more for my iphone than any of their competitors. Sent my phone. They confirmed delivery. When I asked for a status update they told me some sob story about being backed up. Ghosted me thereafter. No responses, no payments. Avoid

They called me to "assure" me they would pay me for my phones (2) which were in perfect condition. Then, once they got my phones-they called and said the batteries needed to be changed and they lowered their offer amount. I even told them I would write them a positive review. I reluctantly agreed to the offer. Like what was I supposed to do? Now it's been a month and I cannot get an email through, or a phone call or a return call. I'm so angry and taken advantage of. I will take this as far as I can get it to get my money or my phones, ( I doubt it). BBB, Texas Attorney General and a lawyer to put a lien on their property.

Don’t do it. I’m not sure who they paid to write these reviews. First they got the phone and changed what they were giving me by $100. They said the battery was low- lie. They also said there were excessive scratches. No no. I described it perfectly with a few surface ones. They sent me partial payment saying they were at their Zelle limit. I threatened to contact the Attorney General in Texas and got the other half within an hour. Scammers. I’m still contacting the Attorney General. They’ve had my phone for over a month too. Awful dishonest people. Do not send them your phone. Should be 0 stars. Scammer thieves.
