I got the large size gravity blanket heaviest weight one. I purchased two covers at the same time. I use the blanket with the summer cover most of the time. However I usually use the summer cover as the winter one is really nice and furry but it makes it very warm even in winter with centre heating. I came to use the winter cover and the zip has broken. I have rarely used this cover. I emailed them direct and they said it is 1.5 year old and the only way get another is to pay. As I have rarely used it I think this is disgusting as I try to buy once and buy quality. I am after one for my daughter and I will try a different brand. These cost a premium over others which I assumed was for quality. Well no quality and really poor customer service. My advice is avoid and try elsewhere with good customer service if there is a fault. Really disappointed.

The mask is extremely uncomfortable and the weights feel like hard pebbles that lay on your eyes. I would not recommend this eye mask at all if you are looking for a comfortable sleep.

They sent the blanket and told me it was delivered, which it wasn't. I had to contact the courier,UPS to find out where the item was. UPS told me they returned it to sender as it didn't have a customs formi tried explaining this to the company, they don't answer the phone, various messages were left. After 5 emails back and forth they finally understood what the problem was.
Trying to resolve the problem is like speaking to a brick wall. It takes sending 10 emails to get them to respond.
The company couldn't find my item so I had to re order it and they said it will take an additional 21 days for it to arrive. They couldn't care less.

I recently ordered a gravity blanket. The quality is good, but months after I got sent an additional bill for £65 import tax. Even though they stated free delivery to the UK.

Their customer service response was "we're not prepared for Brexit, sorry, not sorry".

Stay away from this company!

I think the company might have gone under as there is no phone for them, they do not answer emails and they do not answer messages on their website.
I also note their company accounts are overdue and the company was due to be struck offing January 2020.
Not impressive for a customer facing company.

Since Brexit it seems that there are huge import fees added on to the advertised 'free shipping' - be aware, I didn't see details of this on the website until too late.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I got sent a £98 fedex invoice for my £199 children's gravity blanket (which said "free shipping"). I was not forewarned about this charge and I've been told it's for customs, VAT and shipping! I disputed this for a long time but eventually had to pay it. The company gave no apologies and accepted no responsibility for this. It happens all the time (read the reviews or ask the FEDEX team!). This is a hidden charge that they deliberately don't tell people about. It doubles the purchase. If you decide to return you need to pay A LOT in transport costs as it's a heavy product. Either way, it's costly. Don't buy. This company does not put the customer first. It is not a kind company.

I wish I had read these reviews prior to making a purchase - I bought a blanket, which took a long time to arrive and when it did was average quality. A few weeks later I received a further invoice from FedEx for the customs charge which is NOT detailed or made clear to the customer when purchasing. So I have paid nearly £200 for a very average product. Not good and the customer service is awful, they just send you a series of statements which apparently were made clear at point of purchase (they were not or I would NEVER have bought this blanket). A treat for myself which has turned out to be the exact opposite. Not happy.

UK address but over a month after delivery got invoice from a different courier asking for 40% extra import tax. Website does not state approx costs for delivery to uk despite being a uk company allegedly. Blanket not that great either and certainly not relieving my anxiety now.

Read all the other bad reviews - all relating to FedEx charges, Normally around a month later. UK government should not allow this and should protect its own citizens, especially when Boris wanted Brexit and miss-sold it in the first place. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!

BEWARE!!!! Do not buy from this website if you live in the UK. I have previously purchased from this company without any issues. This year in March I ordered a second blanket, and suddenly 3 months later I have received a FedEx invoice for £62.00 import tax. The website claims free delivery and yet when I queried this they tell me you have to search the delivery page on the website to find a statement saying you are liable for import 'Brexit' duty. This is deceiptful and should not be allowed. This item was purchased for a disabled person who has difficulty sleeping which makes it even more cruel.

This company deceives its buyers and has been reported to the financial Ombudsmen as it has a UK address and website yet charges custom charges but advertises free delivery. This is clear violation of the new custom's law and is currently under investigation.
Websites should clearly state the import charge in terms and conditions and not be hidden.

Do not buy!!! Trading as a UK company but all shipments come from abroad which is not obvious on the product page or checkout. This means you will have to pay a substantial amount in import duty. In our case £100 on a blanket. They do say you are liable for any import duties, however this is hidden on the website and not obvious which appears to be a clear effort to deceive people. A UK registered company, with a UK website, and 'Free DPD' delivery. Well ours was delivered by FedEx and had a lovely surprise 3 months down the line in the form of 'Duty to be paid'

Avoid like the plague!

The website is (deliberately?) misleading. Gravity Blankets UK is a UK-based shopfront so you would expect the quoted price (in GBP) to include UK VAT and be on an as-imported basis.

It turns out (as other reviewers have said) that you are actually ordering from a Polish retailer (this is not made clear anywhere) and therefore liable for a) UK VAT on the product, b) UK VAT on the freight (so delivery is, in fact, not ‘free’) and c) a further charge from FedEx for handling this process. For me, these charges added up to more than an additional 1/3 of the quoted cost of the item on a separate invoice from FedEx 2 months after delivery.

The product itself is fine, but be very wary of these charges as the Gravity Blankets UK website will do NOTHING to warn you that you’re buying from an EU company during the ordering process. In replies to other reviews I have seen them point people to the “Shipping & Returns” section, but when ordering from a UK company, why would you check that section? It absolutely needs to be made clearer when placing your order as even the T&Cs only include 1-2 references to Polish law and nothing else to suggest an EU nexus. Obviously anyone ordering from the UK website is highly likely to be outside the EU, so it’s a fair warning to provide on check-out.

I am very disappointed with my experience as a result.

I bought 2 blankets in December with no problems. On 5th January I ordered another, but this time it was sent directly to us from Poland rather than from this country. I had made sure I ordered from this country. I returned the item after receipt FedEx charge over a month later for £80. I showed them I had returned and 4 months later have received a debt collector letter. I still am landed with the customs charge despite having no blanket all because they send it direct from Poland. They were aware of this as it was different from the December orders. I would never order from them again.

Deken had niet het gewenste effect in vergelijk met ander deken. Na mailtje voor retour geen reactie tot negatief review. Vervolgens adres gekregen waar het deken heen moest dit gelijk terug gestuurd maar wederom hoor ik niets!!!!! Al met al ik zou hier niets bestellen.

I bought a gravity blanket in January and the blanket is perfect very high quality. Unfortunately one month later I received invoice for fedex for 78 £ for delivery 😢.
The gravity blankets company didn't inform me about this charges and they still didn't add uk to they website for country's out of UK! I think this is really unfair where company do that!
I can recommend gravity blanket but not if you buying it from Poland or any other EU country.

I bought two gravity blankets in March. They are great. Part of my order was missing and they shipped it out to me. My problem with Gravityblankets.co.uk is that only if you delve into the shipping information do you find out that you are going to be charged for shipping. I know this is all to do with Brexit, and perhaps I should have been a bit more cautious before clicking 'I agree to terms and conditions' but I really do think that a warning should come up if your delivery address is in a country/region that will incur a shipping tax. Something like, 'this delivery address is subject to Shipping Tax, do you want to continue with your purchase?'. I feel it is disingenuous of Gravity Blankets Customer service to point me in the direction of this buried information. I read through the FAQs and the 'more questions' section, there's no mention of the charges - indeed at the top of the website it states Free Delivery. I'm very sorry but if you incur a shipping tax that is almost one third of the cost of your goods THAT IS A DELIVERY CHARGE... you might say it isn't but it is. If you were upfront I wouldn't have a problem, be open.

Do not care about existing customers! I bought a blanket with an all year cover. I found this too warm so i have been looking at the summer cover. £69 for a cover for a single bed sized blanket.
If you look at the bundles, to add both covers it adds £20.
I raised this with customer service, asking why a simple cotton cover can cost so much. They fobbed me off saying their blankets were superior made, here's 10% off.
Taking advantage of existing customers and customer service are abrasive and poor. Wouldnt buy from them again, ill be looking elsewhere

What they do not clearly tell you about, is the £80 import duty on each blanket! They list many countries, but not the UK, to imply there is no import tax. Nothing is mentioned about it at the point of sale!
The blankets ok, but their customer services are incompetent!
Is the blanket worth an extra £80? In a word, no.
