I was very nervous doing a loan that many people even myself, have never heard of. Denise made herself available anytime I had a question. I had lots of worries but she had none. From the beginning, she told me everything was good. And it was, it turned out fantastic. No major issues whatsoever. Overall, I had a good experience with Griffin Funding. I first spoke with the team on August 21 and closed my investment-property refinance on September 17—an efficient timeline that was especially important because I needed the cash-out proceeds by a particular date.

The team was helpful in getting the loan through underwriting, clear to close, and into a mobile-notary signing. When I raised questions, my loan officer responded and helped provide clarification, including corrections to the final payment estimate and resolution of insurance-related questions before signing.

My advice to future borrowers is simply to stay engaged through the final days: review every cost worksheet and closing document carefully, ask for clarification on escrow, insurance, cash-out figures, servicing, and any prepayment-penalty terms, and request a direct title or closing contact for signing-day questions—particularly if you are in a different time zone.

Despite a few last-minute details that required follow-up, Griffin Funding delivered a successful closing on a fast timeline and helped me access the funds when I needed them.

Such an easy process! I worked with Nikolas Contreras. He was helpful on the phone with my questions. I was able to do everything else online and the HELOC funded in less than 2 weeks from application.

The Overall, my experience with Griffith Funding was positive, and most importantly, they were able to successfully fund my home equity line of credit.

The application process itself was easy and straightforward. Where I experienced challenges was when my application involved more complex questions or situations that didn’t necessarily fit neatly within the standard criteria. There was no opportunity to speak directly with a live representative or underwriter by phone to explain the circumstances or work through different scenarios. Most communication was handled through chat or AI, which made the process feel very black-and-white.

In my past lending experiences, being able to speak with a loan representative or underwriter has been helpful when additional explanation or clarification is needed. I think having that option would have made the process smoother and potentially helped the loan fund sooner.

That said, we ultimately worked through the issues and Griffith Funding was able to get my HELOC funded, which I appreciate. I would recommend them for the simplicity of the application process, but I think adding access to live support for more complex lending situations would greatly improve the overall customer experience.initial application was easy
