Grundig washing machine (7700) now being replaced after 5 years. Bearings gone, motor probably also gone. Engineer said there was a lot wrong with it for a 5 year old machine.

Leaks like a sieve!

Tumble dryer leaks water onto floor. Hardly any water getting into the tank.

Poor customer service and quality assurance

Update on 16/04/2024: The reviews team were able to register my appliance. Shame it could not be addressed initially, but glad it is all sorted now. I have moved my rating from 1 to 3 because of this.

Update 02/04/2024: I sent an email on 14/03/2024 as per the response below and have not had any reply.

Original review: Very poor customer service. My Grundig fridge freezer did not have the serial number sticker on the inside, so I could not register the warranty. Contacted the phone support line, kept telling me to look on the inside of the fridge for a serial number on a sticker. I told them it was not present. After 10 minutes of going around in circles trying to tell them the sticker was not present, I was told to email with pictures to the email support. I did exactly this and they did not even acknowledge the images and told me to (once again) look on the inside for the serial number sticker. I pointed out the images attached, which showed absolutely no stickers, and since then complete silence. Now I have no warranty for an expensive fridge freezer which has no quality assurance processes applied to it.

Great looking toaster trouble is even on darkest settings with frozen button on toast very light

We were looking for a 50/50 Integrated…

We were looking for a 50/50 Integrated Fridge / Freezer to replace one that had broken down.

Looking at the customer reviews of the ones available, we narrowed it down to two, one of which was a Grundig.

The Grundig was more expensive but, when we saw it on display in a showroom alongside the other integrated fridge / freezers, we felt it was of superior quality and well worth the extra.

It came with a two year guarantee but, by registering the purchase with Grundig, the warranty could be extended to five years free of charge.

Our previous appliance with a one year guarantee broke down unexpectedly after just 33 months and was unrepairable.

It is early days yet to be able to comment on the performance of the appliance but I have seen nothing to indicate that it's not going to prove to be a very good purchase.

I have a fridge from this brand and…

I have a fridge from this brand and what i can say its to stay away.
Has some weired noise and the interaction with service its just with no hope.
They just don t care ....
So I do not recomand them at all.

What a great hairdryer and what a price!

Recently my not too old hairdryer (prob 3 years old) started to crack at the end where the cable goes in and I was worried it might be dangerous. So I looked online for a new hairdryer and I could not believe how expensive they are now! I find most hairdryers a problem to use due to their weight and where the controls are, as invariably I switch them off or change the setting whilst in use, so I research these factors quite extensively when purchasing. I had set myself a budget of up to £100.
Then I came across the Grundig Touch Control Hairdryer HD7880 at only 600ish grams and at a remarkable £12???? It comes with flat, LOCKABLE controls so they don't get in the way of your hands.
I have to say it is BRILLIANT. It dries my hair much faster than my old, more expensive hairdryer and my hair is much smoother. I can honestly say I am more than pleased with it.

Bad experience with discontinued Grundig product…

We were sold a discontinued washing machine from Currys Model GW75961TW which we did not know it was discontinued. When delivered and installed the machine proved to be not fit for purpose as no matter what was tried it could not be balanced and was noisy when it went onto the spin programme. We contacted and spoke to Thoko at Beko who immediately issued us with a uplift note number to give to Currys as soon as she was given the model type and s/no so knew that this product had an issue which is why we are presuming it has been discontinued. In which case these machines should have been withdrawn and should no longer be sold. In Grundigs favour Thuko at Beko was extremely helpful and cannot fault her in anyway

Repeated faults on washing machine

Bought an integrated washing machine just over 3 years ago and had to have it repaired 4x under warranty. Last repair was a replacement of “every part that could possibly be causing the issue”. 3 months later I’m getting exactly the same fault meaning that my washing won’t spin

I’m giving up and buying another. I’d never recommend buying another grundig washer

Take lesson from my experience

Take lesson from my experience. Bought failure of engineering- GD7510644UW Washer/dryer through Currys. Just like other comments say washer is insanely loud after few months, doesnt state proper cycle times and sometimes forgets to dry. Warranty is useless as repairman basically comes and says everything is fine, even though washer goes out for a walk and vandalizes kitchen its all fine and dandy. Now ive got to figure out how to sell it

I bought this Grundig fridge about 5…

I bought this Grundig fridge about 5 weeks ago. So far I am very happy with it. Its noise levels are fairly low and the goods inside the fridge are really cooled. The anti-frost system seems to be working properly. One thing I would design differently would be to split the fruits section into two compartments. This is because I would store different types of vegetables/fruits in each compartment. Therefore, it would be easier to put them in and out of the fridge and would not expose them to room temperature without a reason.

Disappointing

This appliance was purported to be a standard size. However, it does not fit properly into the space where the previous standard sized dishwasher fitted perfectly. It now protrudes beyond the other fittings in the kitchen and the door is difficult to close.

Furthermore, in comparison to the previous appliance (Neff), the interior of the machine appears smaller and the dishes and glassware and cutlery do not fit as well as in the previous machine. Plates tend to crowd together, the cutlery holder is ill-fitting and there is generally less room compared to the last machine.

I have also found that the machine needs to be used in "Intensive" mode in order to ensure all items come out clean. If the other modes are used on a full wash some of the dishes remain dirty after the cycle. This is very disappointing for a brand new machine.

Generally, I feel that this new machine cannot compare to my old machine and I regret changing brand from Neff to Grundig.
