I am so pleased with gumtree,we found our dream dog on here and are collecting him today with cash.

Scum gumtree I deactivated my accounts because every time I put a ad up it gets removed!!
So stick it scamtree in fact black list me I don’t care it’s full of scammers and dodgy sellers

Utter GARBAGE, full of fake ads, fake sellers, ugly prmos for trashy furniture. Just stay away from this infested site.

I posted an advert 1436005221 as I offer a massage service and Gumtree charge me £34 to advertise. My advert was taken down at 2 days saying I went went against their rules.
I offer a professional service so at no point in the advert did I advise anything different or post anything I shouldn't. There's a lot worse adverts that say live. They won't reinstate or refund me. They just take your money delete adverts and when you ask for explain they tell you nothing. Dont lose your money with guntree there are a lot of companies better and cheaper. Vivastreet is brilliant and free for the same advert and you get lot more response, evening company like yell are free but ignore guntree you will lose your advert and money scam and should be closed down so I'm going to trading standards

Took my money for a advert for my puppies removed the add and took the money and I’ve tried serval times to Contact them via email and online chat for a week now and I’ve had no response or explanation at all. Avoid listing or buying from gumtree as they really don’t care they just take your money and run. I’love started legal proceedings now to claim back my money.

Horrendous site. I had £131pounds taken out of my bank just before Christmas. I closed my account straight away . Terrible service .I rang up Gumtree to explain if I can retrieve my money back .All I got was a sorry. ' RUBBISH 'service and no customer care .Dont sell on this site as its full of liars and scammers who want your money .

I have been trying for two weeks to post a property for let on Gumtree ( I am even prepared to pay to do so). Site doesnt work and no way of contacting Gumtree - no phone number).

Stay away from scamtree if you value your goods never send them always get the buyer to collect and either pay though PayPal friends and family or bank transfer

Bumtree. 10 weeks now trying to buy car with no success. No phone numbers to ring people. People say cars for sale then hear nothing back. Just text tennis back and forth getting no where.

Simply doesn't work. Posted a free add and it kept taking 1/3 off the asking price when posting regardless of the item being for free. What a waste of time.

Yes, I could have raised a support ticket but this is pretty basic functionality and not going to waste my time fixing their issues. There are dozens of alternative sites.

Man collected a large amount of weight listed Lego & happily paid the asking price of £60 cash. Later on he claimed it was weighing light & he wanted a part refund. I explained no it wasn’t light & that respectfully, he could have taken what he wanted out & was scamming me. I then had his partner messaging threats for a full refund ! I ignored them then received home printed letters, claiming they are from the small claims court & to refund them asap ! Nightmare annoying sale.

The account was blocked with no clear explanation. I was trying to create an ad with item's photo made by myself. No delivery and online payment required. Collection only. Three times my ad was rejected just for no reason.
As i see from other testimonials here, Gumtree are scummers themselves.

I posted an add on gumtree and they took it off without a reason charged me £29.99

And they have not give me my money back I have put complaints in but no luck this is like theft and I will go to the citizen advice and will contact trading standards what a dodgy thieving company gumtree is not conducting its self in a professional manner something needs to be done add number 1445320994

Whatever programme or system they are using is rubbish.
Can only assume it is run by 13 year old girls who know nothing about nothing.

Contacted Gumtree to make a complaint. One user messaged me with a low ridiculous offer few days later sent another offer which was the same amount ,I declined . After selling my item to another buyer ,The user who initially sent offer was allowed and did leave bad feedback all because I didn't except his ridiculous low offer . Now I'm left with bad feedback after years of selling and buying on gumtree ,costomer service is pathetic to say the least. I explained what happened and stated this should not of been allowed to happen and they refused to do anything about it.
Its been four days and still haven't had any follow up reply, when I asked why was a user allowed to leave bad feedback just because I did not except his offer ?

Where is the protection for a seller from user who clearly abuse the site .
