Hearmel 

I've had over a month now of being fobbed off by Elena in, so called, customer service. Promises she's going to sort the problem out, but blames either problems with dispatches or the finances dept for not sending me a replacement for my faulty aid. She has offered a refund, but as others suggest, returning the aids is expensive, as it must be returned to CHINA where this scam company is based, despite giving the impression they are based in the UK. They rely on the posting costs to deter you from returning the items. They operated their scam using Facebook advertising, should have been alerted to them then, as a lot of scammers use Facebook!

I have been having much the same experience as all the other 1 star reviews. One of my hearing aids failed and the other seems OK. I sent it back for a replacement. Until now, it has not arrived. They agreed and promised it as a priority. In fact the remaining left hearing aid does work quite well. It is just a shame that these Chinese hearing aids are not handled or manufactured in the UK by qualified respectable people. The "secret" lies in the fact that the response from Hearmel is generated at ZENDESK, a company which generates AI responses for companies that don't seem to fulfil or have no intention of fulfilling their promises. Someone should investigate ZENDESK and what responsibility they have in issuing these responses. They are part of the problem. Hearmel is undoubtedly a scam. Check out ZENDESK on trustpilot as well!

I have had NHS behind ear hearing aids but found my glasses knocked them off my ears when removing glasses. I wasn't sure about Hearmel and wondered if it was a scam. I took the plunge and ordered a pair of 'in ear' aids. Once I had adjusted them to my hearing requirements and fitting the correct size 'dome' they were great. The quality of sound is first class. Unlike other reviewers I find they fit well. I like the idea of taking them out at night and put them in the charging case to charge over night ready for the next day. They were also delivered within a couple of days of ordering.

Since giving this glowing feedback I have had nothing but problems. When I ordered one pair they sent me and charged me for two pairs. Cancelled order within a few minutes of confirmation from them but they said it was too late. Tried to return one pair but was told to return to China at my own cost which I refused as it was their fault. They do say that they are based in the UK. They promised me a refund but after many reminders still have had nothing. Avoid them. (Hearing aids are still good)

Update April 2026. I never did get the refund promised. This idea of scamming people and sending and charging for extra items is now getting common with companies in China.

Scam Scam do not buy these don't fit and have to pay for return to China awaiting a refund from Credit Card but have been waiting for three months from this company don't buy these or you will experience money loss and not fit for purpose hearing aids

The hearing aids didn't fit...I could hear that they amplified sound but they wouldn't go in my ears. I initiated a refund and was offered 25%. I declined and was offered 40% or the option to return to China. I accepted the offer and numerous emails later I haven't received any refund and doubt I will! 'Elena' completely understands my frustration and is escalating the refund. Same story as everyone else! Lesson learned! Buyer beware!!

Totally agree with EVERYTHING previous reviews have said, they are a dreadful company. However, after getting nowhere trying to return unwanted aids, sent despite cancelling within minutes, I contacted Citizens Advice who intervened on my behalf but still just got empty promises from them. They advised me to go to my bank as I paid by debit card and they refunded me, so if anyone has paid by debit card give it a go. I think this awful company just hope you will go away but don't!!!! They also appear to go under MelHear and Ihearmore so BEWARE!!

As countless others have pointed out they are a complete scam delivering a complete load of useless rubbish and despite countless platitudes do absolutely nothing to rectify/refund anyone seemingly
I would be interested to know if anyone has managed to get a refund through their bank debit card.

I eventually got a refund from them by going through my bank - TRY IT !!

Do NOT buy these its a scam with no phone support and no way of returning them back to whoever sent them

Total utter scam - DO NOT BUY - I'm usually so careful with online purchases however fell for this sales guff and am not convinced I'll obtain a refund.
A seemingly UK company asks you to return the goods to China for a refund?!
The AI generated email replies to queries are swift and polite but totally useless - the hearing aids themselves are large and clumsy - wouldn't fit my narrow ear canals.

Do not buy these hearing aids! It's a scam. They are useless. We were led to believe, by all the advertising, that they were a family run business and you would assume here in the UK. However, they don't work well and when I asked for a refund was told yes, but the return address was China! For so many reasons, I am not going to return them, I can feel a whole load of problems doing that and judging by the other reviews, my instinct is not wrong! Save yourself the money and DON'T BUY!

Shocking bunch of cowboys, when you try to send anything back the offer you a partial refund which works out better and cheaper than sending them back to China, the problem is the don't give you a refund they just make excuses every day and they are always escalating your case, but they aren't it's just an AI bot spurning out the same drivel every day.
Beware and save your money as the actual hearing aids are cheap and don't really work

I purchased a pair of hearing aids from this company. Their platform took two payments in error. I contacted them by email and they explained this can happen and they would refund the duplicate payment without delay.
I subsequently received two sets of hearing aids. They asked me return the duplicate device which I did. Their ad. Said they were a small family run company. The return address was in CHINA. when I challenged them they gave me a load of waffle but promised to refund the duplicated payment.

Absolute scam, ordered 9th June 2025. Nothing arrived and even when they said a replacement had been sent, still nothing. It's now been 2 weeks after requesting a refund and no response or refund. £69 wasted to a hong Kong based scam

The ordering situation is confusing bearing in mind that most customers will be elderly, I ordered one pair and on processing found that I had ordered 2 pairs, within minutes I e-mailed them to change the order and was told that the order had already been processed, amazing! then offered a 25% extra discount instead of returning them, which of course never happened. The product is not fit for purpose far too big for the average ear canal, buzzes and hums loudly when inserted and generally a right load of Rubbish. "Elena" is all sweetness in her E-mails offering all sorts of promises, returns are to China and no one has yet to be repaid,"Elena" is actually an AI generated E-mail system. This company is a complete Con, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.! save your money.

Scam. I wouldn’t even give them 1 star! Ordered online, sent apparently through yodel left in safe place “porch” we don’t have one! This was back in April. Trying to get a refund ever since! How these people think this it’s acceptable to scam people is beyond me. Constantly fobbed off with stupid replies and getting no where fast! Don’t waste your time or money! Wish I’d done better research into this! Have I off seen these reviews I wouldn’t have waisted my time!

Don’t trust them for a minute. I ordered the ear buds in April and immediately found they hurt my ears. I requested the “guaranteed 100% refund” only to find I had to post them to China at my own expense. Eventually I was told I could keep them and get a 40% refund which I agreed to. Despite countless, friendly e-mails from Elena who said she was constantly chasing up the finance dept, no refund has materialised. As an OAP on a limited income I feel totally conned. Steer well clear!

I accidentally ordered 2 devices of this total tat and I'm stuck with them. I spoke to someone, Elena, who said I could return the unopen pair and she was supposed to send me information. It's now several weeks later and nothing.

As for the hearing aids themselves - you'd be better rolling up the cardboard box they come in and fashioning it into an ear trumpet. They sound tinny and squeal all the time.

Can't even score this robbing site, spent 69.00 on hearing buds, what did I get hearing aids!..... returned them, costing me 12.00. Still no refund after two months of constant emails between someone called Elana..... and myself

Don't go near this site! The hearing aids were not suitable. I wanted to return them, but customer service tried everything to dissuade me, including refunding 25% and me keeping the aids. They were awful, I wanted a full refund as stated on the site. However they have to be returned to China and with a customs form. I returned them in May at a cost of £16. They are still being held in customs! 3 times I have contacted support about this, but it seems there is nothing they can do.
I am now debating Trading Standards as the website being a UK site and all the wording about refunding in full, is all totally misleading. They have now cost £85

Im 100% I ordered 1 pair ,and always click to go through pay pal but this never seemed to, ended up with 2 pairs or RUBBISH !!! My bank says can dispute transaction after I think was 15 days ... Advert states UK company but they want me to return to China...100% SCAM ... Will go through my bank in a few days and I will report them.on Facebook and leave comments to warn others!!!!
Im so angry at this going on all the time, we can't trust everyone, they want them shipped to China , then refund after 3 weeks ... DONT TRUST THIS AT ALL ....Leave Negative Reviews On Social Media and REPORT !!!!!
I've read other reviews here and mostly very similar, one man here ordered 1 and received 3 pairs!!! My friend made good point, if you ordered 2 pairs it would be on the one transaction, but no it 2 different transactions, don't wait 15 days , contact bank and fraud team, these go under different names when selling, if you see on social media report as SCAM because they are , Warn Potential buyers and report to your bank immediately!!!!!!!!
REPORT TO BANK ...GET REFUNDS... ALSO CONTACT ACTION FRAUD UK TO GET THEM SHUT DOWN !!!!
SPOKE FRAUD TEAM AT LLOYDS TODAY ... GET REUNDS FROM.BANK AND DONT ENTERTAIN THEIR E MAILS ...IGNORE THEM.!!!!!!!
