First time using this company and it’s been one issue after another. A simple order of six heaters turned into a frustrating experience: sales communication issues, poor customer service, lack of communication, collections scheduled and then cancelled with emails telling me to refuse them, broken items on arrival, and waiting over a week for replacements. Save yourself the time and hassle — order your heaters elsewhere.

I recently purchased a Stiebel Eltron water heater from Heater Shop, but unfortunately I later found out that my flat cannot support a three-phase unit. I contacted the company, explained the situation and asked to return the item unused.

After some back and forth, they finally agreed to accept the return — but only if the box was wrapped in brown paper and left exactly as they requested. I followed every instruction and returned the item fully protected and unused.

To my surprise, when the refund was issued they deducted 10% (around £70), claiming that a small piece of internal polystyrene was missing from the box. This “missing polystyrene” was the only reason provided for keeping £70 of my money.

The unit itself was completely untouched and in perfect condition. Charging £70 for a tiny piece of packaging feels extremely unfair and unreasonable, especially on a product costing over £800.

I had planned to purchase the correct single-phase heater from them, but after this experience I will be taking my business elsewhere. Customers deserve clear, fair policies and respectful treatment — unfortunately I did not receive that here.
