No messing, good advice, easy to pay using the payment email they send you. Yet to have the product delivered but the sales man apologised in advance for not being able to deliver on Monday ( the order was placed on Friday afternoon at 4 pm) . Tuesdays fine.

I ordered an Electrorad Storage Heater in October last year. To begin with the delivery was terrible as the Heater Shop supplied the incorrect amount of insulation bricks meaning that I had to arrange for the installing Electrician to come out twice.
Before buying the heater in October, I contacted the Heater shop’s customer service team by telephone specifically to seek advice on selecting the correct model for my room. Based on that discussion, I was reassured that this unit would be suitable, which is why I proceeded with the purchase. My space is a lounge with small extension with a dividing wall covering a large proportion of space between the extension and lounge and just over 20m2. This heater is designed for 20m2 so they assured me it would heat the space.

In addition, the product information on your website indicated suitability based on room size without clearly highlighting how heavily this depends on insulation levels or heat loss factors. I have since learned — through discussions with Electrorad — that this dependency is significant and materially affects real-world performance. My house has normal insulation and terraced so has no significant heat loss factors. However, none of this was discussed at point of sale and it was only made clear that there was a calculator on their website to refer to after I took advice from their agent. The same page that stated the heater would heat a room of 20m2 was not linked to the calculator.
The heater is of poor design and I discovered it only delivers significant heat when it is charged below 40%. This was confirmed by Electrorad themselves when they carried out checks via phone through an agent who was not technical. Based on this they determined the heater operated correctly but in reality it wouldn’t even heat a room of 10m2.

When I made a complaint about the service and the poor performance of the heater which I paid £1000 a lady called Tracy (the customer service manager at the Heater shop’s) rejected my complaint on the basis of the ad hoc tests being done via phone (by Electrorad) and would not take any responsibility for their failings or the poor quality of the heater. I requested a technical report that evidenced my heater wasn’t working on three occasions. Each time Tracy ignored my request to avoid any responsibility.
Never deal with this abysmal company unless you want to pay a large amount of money for an awful product.
I tried to resolve this reasonably as I was happy to settle with the Heater Shop providing a partial payment towards an additional small heater which they would not entertain. I’ll now be taking the matter further.

We have now purchased 6 Rointe heaters for our holiday home to replace all our storage heaters. They are absolutely amazing and so easy to use, even our guests love them! The Heater Shop were absolutely fantastic, great customer service and excellent delivery service. Highly recommend.
