Nuisance calls

I was curious about HelloFresh and so I signed up. I had a poor experience at one point when they left out some key ingredients for a meal I had chosen. After raising this, I received credit on my account. Bit annoying as it meant I still had to go grocery shopping for a new meal which is what I was signing up to avoid but anyway, that's not the main complaint. Overall, the food was fine but it wasn't for me so I ended my subscription. This is where the issues arose.

I received a lot of sales calls from their reps to try and sign me back up. I mean A LOT of calls. Eventually I asked them to stop calling. This didn't work, the calls continued to come in much to my annoyance. This spurred me to to reach out to HelloFresh and avail of my GDPR rights to simply have my data deleted.

I received a response from their privacy team starting that they couldn't because of one of four reasons they listed. None of the reasons they listed were true in my case. Could I reply and object to what must clearly have been a misunderstanding? No. Ticket closed. Start the process again.

So I'm still subject to repeated nuisance calls despite me clearly requesting that they end and I'm having to go through a clunky process multiple times to end them.

Ingredients not as requested. A carrot instead of Pakchoi.

No soy sauce and two of some other sauce

Portions are minimal!

Hello Fresh Ireland - charged for food I don't want.

I ordered once as a friend suggested it to me. I cancelled my 2nd order as I couldn't afford it but a week or two later I was charged for meals I didn't even order due to some deadline I missed. It is clearly a tactic to trick people into paying for food they don't want. I also kept getting emails after unsubscribing from emails. Out of pocket and annoyed at the poor clarity around being charged. Similar reviews online. Never use it again.

Very impressed with the recipes

Very impressed with the recipes. Had a few and most say they have been delicious. My girlfriend had an issue with a spoiled yogurt but they were quick to action and sent a partial refund straight away. Always find it very easy to cancel or change frequency of the plan. I don’t see myself having them every week so have change to every 4 weeks. Meals are fresh. Easy to prep and 10/10. I know you end up paying a premium at the end after the fist week but it’s worth it as no food going to waste. €70 plus delivery covers 5 meals for 2 people. That’s only €35 each for the week so it’s not that bad.

Food has been great but every week…

Food has been great but every week missing atleast 1-2 ingredients which I find annoying as don’t realise untill going to cook meal and then I forget to say it

Problems with delivery. It was well packed, good food but I felt some of it ( sauces etc) was ultra processed.

Delivery arrived well within the time…

Delivery arrived well within the time allocated. Everything is well packaged with ice packs keeping the proteins chilled. Packing is recyclable too. Each meal prep was very well explained and all were very tasty! Plus we didn't waste a scrap 🥳

I like to order every now and again

I like to order every now and again. Hello Fresh does not send you a email before they debit your account. They also then choose food for you. This has not happened twice to me and we did not like what they gave us. I will be cancelling my account after this week.
Gusto are great, they remind you that its time to order and give you time to cancel that week's order. I will be ordering from then from now on.

To soon to tell

To soon to tell. Only had one delivery so far and I was away for some of the time! Found it hard to navigate the site or wouldn't have ordered this week!
Also, it took from time of first investigation of HF, 6 months ago, to this week to place an order as you kept stopping me when it came to paying. I gave up and tried one last time last week and you accepted me! Same card, same address. Very frustrating 😕
