Professionalism alongside kind and considerate staff.
What made the experience really great was to start with the clarity of when and where appointments would be and what would be needed. Mostly it was the courteous manners, consideration and care that was clear throughout the whole process. Both my child and I never felt judged in the process or in the report, which I am very grateful for.
I am also very impressed with the knowledge and thought that went into a complex assessment and report. I appreciate that a higher consultant was accessed to give advice where things were quite grey.
The whole process didn’t feel cold and clinical, I always felt particularly with Ruth Payne there was a very careful approach which felt kind and non judgmental.

Highly recommend
My son had his assessment with Help4Psychology when he was 17 and honestly the whole experience was much better than we expected.
The whole process was smooth from start to finish and everything was explained properly without ever feeling overwhelming. They were understanding, easy to talk to and made both me and my son feel completely at ease.
What stood out most was how kind and supportive everyone was. They genuinely care and understand how nerve-wracking assessments can feel for young people and parents.
The report itself was also incredibly detailed and thorough. It really showed that they had taken the time to properly understand my son.
We’re really glad we chose Help4Psychology and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Pleasant team
Pleasant team however only gave 3 stars because it was more a process the team was going through rather than providing holistic medical care for a vulnerable child. Regardless of commissioning structures all medical and nursing staff have a duty of care to provide high quality care that sees each patient as an individual.

Great experience
Help for Psychology have been a great experience from start to finish.
Our daughter was referred through the Right to Choose service by the NHS, and HFP got in contact with us almost straight away.
All phone and in-person appointments were hassle free, well organised and the staff really showed amazing understanding, patience and knowledge.
After waiting five years for just an NHS appointment, our daughter had been seen multiple times by HFP and even diagnosed within 5 months of our initial referral.
On her diagnosis report, it was over 50 pages long and I was very impressed with the details that were included. It shows how well the staff have truly listened to us as a family individually and not just ticked some boxes.
I cannot fault the service at all and would recommend them highly!

We travelled four hours for an assessment
We travelled almost 4 hours for our son’s assessment, after doing research into many providers offering similar services- help for psychology definitely seemed like the best fit! The staff were extremely professional and thorough in the assessment process and helped our family feel heard in our son’s assessment journey.
The travel time was definitely worth it, our report was sent out this week and it is huge, it has all the information we need and will be beneficial to secure my sons support in the future!

RTC ADHD and Autism assessment
From the first contact we had with Help for Psychology, they provided us with all the information we needed and communicated the process and timescales to expect.
At both the online and in clinic appointments staff were friendly and approachable, they were available to answer any questions we had and talked with my daughter at her level with kindness, understanding and professionalism. The report we received was comprehensive and has given us ideas to help and support our daughter. The experience from start to finish was far less stressful than I thought, and although emotionally and mentally draining at times we felt supported throughout.
