Refund on a Google Voice, HP Poly Phone

I was sent in circles between Sales and Tech Support; when trying to get a refund on a Poly phone that would not connect to Google Voice, as advertized. The Sales phone number that I was asked to use; had poor/inaccurate recordings, and very long wait times (more than 15 minutes). On the few occassions when I got to talk to a Sales Rep; they were not able to help.

Do Not Buy from HP.com!

I have this review on HP.com aswell here to ensure the review is read by potential customers.
DO NOT ORDER FROM HP ONLINE !!!
I have been waiting on an order to be fulfilled since 04th April. It was cancelled once due to the payment being rejected by my bank, because the payment had sat pending for over two weeks in my account.
I placed a second order in good faith. I was told the items would be in and my order fulfilled payment taken and order sent to me this week....
I called customer services to check on the order - they told me I would need to wait until June! At no point did anyone tell me how the process worked and that I would need to wait until June - not only that but the two customer services agents today (25 Apr) were absolutely uninterested, uncaring, rude, arrogant and really need to be retrained - or actually trained!
I totally lost it with both of them in the end.
I have just cancelled my order and have found the same item at Curry's. Order placed and will be delivered in the next few days.
DO NOT BUY FROM HP! You will lose your sanity trying to actually speak with someone who wants to assist you! I really hope these calls are recorded!

Zwartscherm bij opstarten! Help?

Sinds 2 weken een zwart scherm bij opstarten. Kan alleen via F11 naar het startup scherm van windows11. De uitgebreide probleemoplosser van HP helemaal gevolgd maar het probleem blijft bestaan. Vanochtend wilde ik dan niet met een robot in contact komen maar met een medewerker. Ik heb de Whatsapp tool gebruikt om mijn probleem voor te leggen. Dat was om 11:11 een minuut later het volgende bericht: Welkom bij HP social media support. We hebben uw verzoek ontvangen en onze volgende beschikbare technische ondersteuningsspecialist zal u binnenkort helpen. Bedankt voor uw geduld. Om 11:54 nog gevraagd hoe lang hjet nog ging duren, om 13:41 een foto gestuurd van de Systeem specificaties. Het is nu 14:03. Maak het verhaal zelf af en kleur de plaatjes. Wat een onbeleefde, arrogante en onbeschofte manier van zogehete klantenservice. Zeg in ieder geval hoe lang het gaat duren voordat er contact is. Maar laat een klant niet de hele dag naar zijn telefoon (Whatsapp) staren!! Maar als ik de reacties in trustpilot lees ben ik niet de enige die een slechte ervaring heb met HP

Ik moet wel iets toevoegen aan dit verhaal. Om 14:16 was er ineens Vini. De technische man van HP. Hij had alles gelezen van wat ik al had ingediend maar hij probeerde toch het hele riedeltje (wat ik al allemaal zelf had gedaan) van de HP ondersteuningstool af te draaien. Lang verhaal kort vanaf dat punt heeft hij mij prima geholpen en is de conclusie dat ik kan opstarten met toetsencombinatie Windowtoets V. Als ik dat niet doe blijft het scherm zwart wat zeer waarschijnlijk een hardware fout is die alleen in een computerzaak verholpen kan worden. Ik kijk het dus even aan op deze manier want volgens Vini is deze HP Pavillion aan het eind van zijn bestaan (het is een prima configuratie nog steeds). Als hij echt de geest geeft dan wordt het tijd voor een laptop!

INSTANT INK IS A RIP-OFF

Bought a new HP printer and signed up for instant ink account. Received new ink cartridges last May. It is now Jan and no more cartridges. Signed up for the 100 pages per month @ $5.95 (going to $6.95 per month!)
Have no idea how many pages I have used each month so don't know if I am paying for too many pages per month. Am i overpaying for ink? Who knows. Stay away from H-P printers.

I don't get how their products can…

I don't get how their products can still be getting worse. Printing is not a game changing or complicated offering, yet the printers are still never on line and always so difficult to use. No one at hp appears to be putting any efforts in to make products that do what they say on the tin. I don't get how hp makes print a poor experience. No wonder people don't bother

A decent computer with cheap Hinges

I bought a HP Envy laptop less than 2 years ago always treated respectfully both hinges have broken, after searching the Internet this seems to be quite a common fault, went back to Currys where I purchased it, they don't want to know, so won't buy another HP computer
and will not shop at Currys anymore, so be warned they still sell these models.

My HP laptop battery “blew up”

My HP laptop battery “blew up”!
I bought an HP Envy x360 15-cp0000na convertible laptop on 28 December 2019. A fantastic machine for the money with a 128 SSD drive for the software and a 1TB HD for data. It served me well until last week (12-Sep-2023) when I noted that it had split open around the base. On opening the laptop I found that the battery had expanded to represent three blow-up cushions and in doing so it had broken away from the base to which it had been fixed and further broken the laptop moulded case screw fixing points on one side.
I contacted HP support and had a Whatsapp conversation in which I was told that I could return it for repair at my cost. I made my point that while I appreciate the laptop is out of warranty, a battery failure like this (at any age) could have been catastrophic. I suggested that they take this incident more seriously and provide a sensible, socially acceptable response. The operative said he would refer to his “mentor” and asked me to wait for response. 9 days later (07-Oct-2023) I received a WhatsApp message that because they have not heard further from me, they are closing the case (“Have a great day!”)!!!
So here we have the once great Hewlett Packard, uninterested that they have sold products with a sub-standard and potentially dangerous major component, unwilling to save their reputation and assist their customer without further payment...
NB. This is not an isolated incident, a close friend also bought this same machine, and he has incurred the same fault.
I won’t be buying from HP again or recommending them.

Wundertechniker - Die wissen alles ohne sich die Geräte anzusehen

Hallo,

unser Unternehmen ist Großkunde bei HP Enterprise. Wir kaufen im Jahr ca. 3000 Geräte bei der Firma. Leider ist das Display bei einem Laptop gesprungen. Ohne dass ein Techniker sich das Gerät angesehen hat, wurde beschlossen, dass die Reparatur, obwohl Garantie für das Gerät besteht, kostenpflichtig ist. Trotz mehrmalige Nachfrage kam immer die Antwort, dass es nur ein Manueller Schaden sein kann und wir den vollen Preis zahlen müssen. Der Tausch des Displays kostet mehr als ein neuer Laptop.
Das nenne ich tolles Kundensesrvice!

Extortionate costs for toners now since they have fixed their toners so you can't use compatible ones ant tire

We have a great HP Laserjet Printer at work and we have just purchased compatible printer cartridges as before. However, apparently HP have updated their firmware to lock any non genuine laserjet toners and render them totally useless. So, for a set of four cartridges they gave we are paying basically £1000 for a set of four. As a school we simply cannot afford this. This has totally disappointed me. I am disgusted by the underhand way in which they are carrying on their business and we we will simply not be held to ransom. Sorry HP - this is just underhand and not transparent. We simply cannot afford to use genuine HP cartridges HP should revise their business model. Absolutely disgusting. I WOULD AVOID PLEASE. THEY ARE UNSCRUPULOUS RE-SELLERS NOW - a

Don't buy a HP Printer, if you do, not with Instant Ink!

Frankly speaking, I absolutely loathe and hate Hewlett-Packard.
Not only are they one of the companies which want to take your money for doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, they are also incredibly incompetent in their work.

When my last Lexmark Printer died, I wanted a cheap and reliable replacement. Stupid enough as I was, I decided to buy an HP printer.
Now granted, the Lexmark one wasn't exactly a treasure either. The cartridges would dry and clog so fast, I literally had to go and print out something once a week, so they would remain usable.

However, nothing could have prepared me for the odyssey and torture my HP printer brought me.

It is of course wireless, and of course that constantly doesn't work.
I can't even count how often I wanted to print something only for the printer not connecting with my PC, being listed as offline, being unavailable for some esoteric reason. And it was a rare case that ANYTHING but a complete deinstall and reinstall fixed it.
Often I had to do this once a week.
Over time, that got better. It now only happens about once a month and most of the time, stuff like restarting my PC or taking the printer off the grid works to restore the connection.
But that's not the only gripe. After a WIN10 update more than two years ago, I couldn't print in colour.
This was unfixable for months. And I tried for hours, scouted the internet for any solution, again and again.

Nothing helped.
HP knew about the problem, but didn't feel the need to do anything about it. No update for the drivers, no working with Microsoft to fix the issue next update. Nothing.

Finally, after many months, another Windows Update coupled with using HP's "Smart" app, fixed the problem.... but only for a few months. Instead of not being able to print in general, I CAN theoretically print in colour, IF I manage to change the settings to it.
Problem is that trying to do so only gets me an error.

That's for the general printer interface and also for most programs. For some programs it works. Don't ask me how, but for the regular stuff, like Office and PDFs, it doesn't.

Again, this is a known problem with my printer, again HP does nothing to fix it. For more than a year now.
And while there are fixes that work for some, again, not one of them works for my printer and I tried, oh I tried.

And the idiocy of it is that I paid for so much of that time, because you don't get a regular printer cartridge, just one for their online service Instant Ink.
At first, I used the for free version, where you could print 10 pages a month, but after a few months, I realized that this didn't work as sometimes I did need to print out more.
So for months I paid 3,99 a month for 50 pages, with the option to store unused pages up to a 150, I think.
At some point it became clear that was too much, because I think I needed 50 pages just one single time.
So I reduced my subscription.

Then they changed the prices. To offer me better options, of course.
The free option is gone, the one I use gives me fewer pages for only slightly less money.

It is so screwed up. And yes, I realized I could just buy regular printer cartridges, but at first this seemed like an okay deal. The software makes it impossible to use non-HP cartridges and I did need to print quite a few pages a month, so I could get the cartridges replaced for no extra cost and that would have been fine.
Of course then I needed to print less, but there was a cheaper option and I thought, alright, it is still very convenient.

By now, I would, but honestly, I just really want to get rid of the thing, and you can be damn sure of one thing, I know other printers aren't fantastic and the companies in that field in general aren't exactly known for their service, unless you have expensive contracts, but I will not buy another HP product again, not if I can help it, definitely not a frigging printer.

Buy ANYTHING ELSE...

There are just better options for printers....they just don't work...couldn't fax three pages...feeder jammed, didn't feed, etc...but I did get a page report telling me that my fax failed...hmmm...now I need more ink to keep printing out my failed reports.

J’ai de gros problèmes avec la…

J’ai de gros problèmes avec la connections wifi , il faut couper la box toutes les fois que je veux imprimer ou envoyer un document internet.
De plus il y a une politique de rackette inadmissible sur le prix et la durée des cartouches d’encre.
Pour finir je peux faire la conclusion qu’il s’agit plus d’une entreprise de Mafieux.Pour terminer je ne rachèterai jamais de produit de cette marque ou de l’une de ses filiales. A bon entendeur salut

* DO NOT ENROLL IN THIER INSTANT INK SCAM *

I bought an HP do-it-all printer which actually works fairly well. They also roped me into their Instant Ink program.

WELL, their Instant Ink program feels like a scam and is really bad for the following reasons:

1. I never received any ink from it!
2. They kept trying to upsell me to a more expensive tier.
3. They kept charging me monthly for this "disappearing ink" even though I don't remember authorizing them to do so.
4. And, this was the final nail: After much difficulty (they did not make this easy), I cancelled my enrollment, and as a side benefit, cartridges which HAD arrived through instant ink, WERE NOT ACCEPTED OR RECOGNIZED AND THE PRINTER WOULDN'T PRINT BECAUSE OF THAT!! So I had to buy new, non instant ink cartridges to replace them. I was amazed and appalled, something like this should be ILLEGAL.
4. Then I kept receiving emails from them telling me why I should re-enroll.

This practice (#3) was so offensive and unjustifiable I still can't believe it.

Their printers are just ok, so if you buy one, * DO NOT ENROLL IN THIER INSTANT INK SCAM *

I wish I could give them zero stars.

Avoid Like The Plague

Going on four (4) weeks and my laptop is still not working. Customer Service is worse than awful. Customer Service Agents do not return phone calls or do what they say they will do. English is spoken VERY POORLY AND THEIR KNOWLEDGE BASE IS POOR.

The Escalation Department is the WORST. The Escalation Department does not return phone call, lies and has no idea what the support agents have done or said.

UPDATE: (1) The Escalation Department now wants to send me a computer with less memory and a cheaper graphic processor that is refurbished. You cannot make this stuff up.
Update (2): Almost five (5) weeks and 21 hours on the phone with HP. The Escalation Department is sending me a new computer that will take four to six weeks until shipment. That means over two months maybe three before I receive a WORKING LAPTOPS. AVOID HP LIKE THE PLAGUE.

Great News! I might have a working computer by January 16, 2023. This has only taken four (4) months to get a shipping and delivery date. If I get the working HP LAPTOP on time it will have taken a few days shy of SIX (6) months to get a working HP LAPTOP.

HP's CUSTOMER SERVICE IS WORSE THAN AWFUL.

I feel sorry for people that purchase…

I feel sorry for people that purchase anything from HP. I ordered an ink cartridge, it took 12 days to get to me and the item was in stock.

I purchased a laptop from HP years ago fo work. It had to be sent back twice for repair within the first 6 months. The same problem developed a month out of the warranty period and some scummy little piece of garbage in Costa Rica definitely told me " how do we know you didn't break it." This is the type of scum that works for HP.

By the way, this inept engineering company can't even figure out how to make laser printers. The guts of the HP laser are all made by Canon.

HP used to be an excellent engineering company but now its a joke and offers sub-Chinese quality for its products.

NEVER buy anything with the HP logo on it.

HP is the worst company

I purchased a laptop , didn’t turn on , no problem I have a warranty on it right? Nope I have to send it in. So I do, they call me about a week later , telling me they won’t warranty it because it has water damage . I said that is not possible it was never out of the box. Well nothing they can do , I’m beat . Fast forward almost 2 weeks later . I asked when will I get it back , they tell me they sent it and it was signed for . That is an absolute lie, no one signed for it . I live alone , and none of my neighbors signed for it. Again HP says it’s not their problem. So at this point I now have no laptop at all that I paid for. DO NOT BUY FROM HP, their products are junk and their customer service is even worse !

Customer service is awful

Customer service is awful. They force you to call, there's no way of sending a mail or chat.

After I called, 2 months of waiting (!) later, I got a mail about that they decided I wouldn't get a replacement for a faulty product, because warranty had expired. I disagreed - faulty products are to be replaced even outside warranty period in this country - so I replied explaining there was plenty evidence this was indeed a faulty product by design (HP Reverb G2 v1 cable, google it and you see what I mean..)

I also told them I was considering legal action, but got a 'this is not an actively monitored mailbox' auto-reply. The only option I had was to call them again, after which I decided to just never buy HP again, and write this negative review.

Good job, HP. You once were such a great brand.

Tarifs consommables exorbitants ! Scandaleux !

J'apprécie les produits MAIS BEAUCOUP MOINS LA POLITIQUE TARIFAIRE. En effet, l'augmentation du prix des cartouches de toner est considérable, un exemple:
4 cartouches Grande Contenance CF543A, CF542A, CF541A , CF540A, payées 374,69 euros en 2019 et, aujourd'hui en 2022: 373,20 euros pour 4 cartouches de Petite Contenance. Sinon plus de 500 euros pour les Grande Capacité!

Has HP forgotten how to make a printer…

Has HP forgotten how to make a printer work just by connecting a cable??
2 hours later and I can still not get the damn thing to do anything, despite that it's registered and saved on my computer. I will never buy HP again. My time is too valuable for games like this.
