Absolutely Joke of a company

We had our hotel room cancelled becuase of the war in Dubai, the Actual Hotel Rove Expo were fantastic, they cancelled free of charge because of the war, however this shower of sh@te refused to refund the money, even though the money had been refunded back to them.

They stopped replying and only replied when I did a charge back with American Express, and then they said they werw about to refund the money, but then I did a charge back, so they couldn't, then the day after they said again the room was non refundable, no changes allowed ect.

I wouldn't mind, but the flights were cancelled, the hotel was cancelled and the British Government have advised against all but essential travel to UAE, yet these clowns hide behind these terms, despite being given the money back.

Don't bother booking woth these, they are also part of Trivago, I will.not be using any companies linked to any of these from now on.

Atención al cliente inexistente, muy decepcionados

Llevamos casi dos meses reclamando a Holisto por un error grave en una reserva que nos obligó a pagar 810 € adicionales directamente al hotel.

Durante este tiempo hemos contactado por correo y teléfono en numerosas ocasiones y con distintos agentes. La única respuesta recibida ha sido siempre la misma: que el caso está “en investigación” o “escalado como urgente”, sin aportar información concreta ni una solución real.

A día de hoy seguimos sin el reembolso ni una respuesta clara. La gestión ha sido lenta, poco transparente y carente de responsabilidad por parte del servicio de atención al cliente.

No recomendaría Holisto. Ante cualquier incidencia, el cliente queda completamente desatendido.

Breach of UK Consumer Law – Service Not Provided and Refund Denied

I booked a stay from August 11th to 17th 2025 for my honeymoon through Algotels.

Due to a force majeure event — fully justified and documented — I was unable to travel and therefore did not consume the service. Despite this, Algotels has refused to refund me, claiming that an undisclosed third party they used (without my knowledge or authorisation) “declined” the refund.

This behaviour raises serious concerns under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, as they are the contracting party responsible for delivering or refunding the service that was never provided. Passing responsibility to an unknown third party is both unlawful and unethical.

In addition, Algotels appears to have shared my personal data with a third party without consent, which could amount to a GDPR violation.

After weeks of emails, no solution was provided. I have now started legal action and notified UK Trading Standards.

Travellers: please be extremely cautious when booking with Algotels. Their lack of transparency, misuse of third parties, and disregard for consumer and data-protection laws are unacceptable.

I booked to stay in glin castle through…

I booked to stay in glin castle through their company, when I rang the hotel they were not aware of my booking and said it was a scam. Glin castle only take bookings for groups like parties and weddings. When contacting Holisto they have not offered me any refund or much of a response, I have contacted my bank hopefully i can get my money back trough my bank. Do not use this company!

BOOKED THE BAHIA HOTEL THRU TRAVAGODEALS.COM WHO ACTUALLY(NOW I FIND OUT) HAS HOLISTO DO THE BOOKING. BOTH COMPANIES WILL NOT RESPOND TO PHONE OR EMAILS AND REFUSE TO REFUND ANY MONEY AND WILL NOT CHANGE DATES, THEY EVEN DENIED I HAD A RESERVATION UNTIL I THREATENED THEM VIA EMAIL AND THEN THE RESERVATION, UNCHANGED, MAGICALLY APPEARED AT THE RESORT IN SAN DIEGO. I WAS UNABLE TO CHANGE OR CANCEL ANYTHING AND HAD TO GO THRU WITH THE RESERVATION. SO I SPENT AN ENTIRE WEEK AT A RESORT I DID NOT WANT TO GO TO. WASTE OF $2700.

Thieves

Thieves. Booked a room at the Sheraton Skyline hotel, Heathrow. The hotel never received payment from Holisto. Fortunately, American Express, refunded me the entire amount after their fraud squad investigated it. Shortly after, I got a scruffy 30 page photocopied complaint from Holisto, claiming I had violated their terms and conditions. I was harassed with requests for payment, otherwise I would hear from their lawyers. Needless to say, I ignored this, and never heard anything again. Scum of the earth, passing themselves off as a legitimate company. Beware.

This company owns Algotels, Splitty, Traveluro, Zaptravel and Holisto.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
We made a booking via Trivago which took us to Algotels. Received a confirmation, money was taken, arrived at hotel 6 months after booking and the booking had been cancelled. No correspondence to say this, no refund and no communication from anyone.
DISGRACEFUL AND ILLEGAL TO TAKE MONEY WITH NO BOOKING!
Will be seeking legal advice to get my money back!

I made a booking through Holisto. I rang my hotel to add breakfast onto my booking prior to arrival. When I rang the hotel they advised that the booking had been cancelled. I rang Holisto and queried this and asked them why they had cancelled a booking without my consent. I had over €200 stolen from me and they advised they have a strict no refund policy. I have no refund and no booking. I have tried calling customer service numerous times but each time I have been hung up on. I have done my research and it appears I am not the only one this has happened to. It seems like Holisto is a complete scam - avoid at all costs.

Entraps Customers

Wanted to book accommodation in December for a trip in Feb. Found a listing and entered the dates, not realising the confusing site means "save' when it simply says "search" next to location text box. Admittedly, I should have double checked to see that the dates I entered had saved, but they hadn't when I went to pay. Realised the mistake immediately and thought because I'm getting on this immediately, a month before the set date, and 2 months before the intended date I should be fine. FAQ says bookings can be modified on the site. They can't. Sent an email asking to modify dates, or refund them so I can book appropriately. The site said non-refundable, but that was just one option to fix my issue, and it was immediately after I made the mistake so it should be fine. They replied back saying it couldn't be refunded (no actual reason why), but saying nothing about modifying like the site says I can. I reply back asking about modifying. Communication ends there. Instead, I call. They take my booking info and say they have to pass on the request and it will take 24-48 hours to approve. No communication. I call the hotel who says modifying will be fine but it has to go through Holisto. I call Holisto again a week before the booking dates and tell them I have been waiting. They get back to me simply stating no refund/no modifying, and absolutely no reason for being so rigid. The page for the hotel I chose says nothing about being non-modifying. Only non-refunding.
So a confusing, poorly designed site that doesn't present you with all needed info, and lies about other info regarding modifying in their FAQ. Customer service that ignores you, and when you bother them they send you short, unexplained and unsatisfying responses. And a unnecessarily rigid and anti-consumer policy on refunding or making changes to bookings even for mistakes and confusion in response to their own site. All while the hotel management themselves said they would have no issue with it.
This service is made to entrap customers and steal their money while trying to ignore the problem. Much needed improvement in web design, customer service, and consumer policy.

Bietet Zimmer an die es nicht gibt.

Nehmt lieber eine ander bekanntere Seite! Diese Seite wurde uns über Google vorgeschlagen, wir haben ein Hotel für den selben Tag gebucht. Im Hotel angekommen gab es keine Reservierung auf unseren Namen. Am nächsten Morgen, einen Tag nach dem wir eingecheckt haben, kam dann eine Mail von Holisto das die Buchung nicht möglich sei.

Beter maak je geen gebruik van Holisto.com

Ik had via Google naar hotels gezocht en Holisto.com zou de goedkoopste zijn.
De eerste boeking ging mis aan hun kant en ik kreeg een verontschuldiging met een toezegging op een volgende boeking 5% korting te krijgen.
Hetzelfde hotel was weer te boeken maar wel iets duurder, omdat het nog steeds goedkoper was als de altenatieve sites heb ik toch geboekt en aan Holisto.com om de 5% refund gevraagd. Inmiddels ook al 2 keer herinnerd en ruim een maand verder maar nog geen reactie en ook geen terugbetaling.

Betrug!! holisto.com, goSplitty, Traveluro, Algotels

Achtung Betrug!!!!
Uns wurde bei der Hotelsuche über google, die Hotelsuchseite „Holisto.com“ angezeigt. Die Seite wirkte seriös. Wir haben gebucht und eine Bestätigung erhalten. Die Bezahlung erfolgte per Kreditkarte an Holisto.com. Im Hotel angekommen sagte man uns das das Zimmer gebucht wurde aber keine Zahlung seitens holisto.com getätigt wurde! Dieses Unternehmen kassiert Geld und leitet es nicht weiter an das Hotel!!! Zum Unternehmen gehören weitere Hotelsuchmaschinen wie goSplitty, Traveluro und Algotels.
