The apartment is small but is tastefully decorated and has everything you need. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with a dishwasher ( tablets provided) and microwave. The beds were really comfortable and it was extremely quiet when we were there as we were the only ones! The beautiful beach is literally on the doorstep with rock pools at low tide, and a fantastic view of Dunstanburgh Castle in the distance. The Ship Inn serves fantastic food and their own microbrewery beer. Would definitely recommend Spinnaker apartment.

What a lovely, cosy apartment. Very clean, modern and in a fantastic place, right in the heart of Whitby town.
Charlie the host was on hand throughout with some great recommendations to see & things to do, places to eat.
You also have a link to the property, how to find it, choices to park, heating, WiFi .. everything you need is all on offer. Just turn up and enjoy your break.
Throughly enjoyed our time there & couldn’t recommend the property highly enough.

Everything at this accommodation was perfect. Beyond clean, everything you needed for a self catering stay in Whitby. Right on the sea front, and parking available which is a bonus. The apartment itself was super clean, and beautifully presented. Spacious, two bathrooms and the beds were very comfy. There’s no other place I’d consider staying when visiting Whitby in the future.

I booked Woodroffe Arms for a member of my team. Whilst you expect some noise in a room over a pub, a "lock in" party going on until 0200 is unacceptable. I shan't be booking the Woodroffe Arms again - I need my team to be awake and lively the next day.

Helpful staff but too many messages and emails about our stay. Fantastic property though.

Very nice appartment, very clean lovely comfy beds slept well. Living area very spacious and cosy, the kitchen was well equipped with everything you need. Nice big bathroom and an en suite in the main bedroom, great views from all windows one looking over the sea and the other up onto the abbey it was very quiet as there's not a busy road outside.The parking was very convenient as its just out the back of the appartment and we where left a parking permit for the whole weekend.We all had a lovely stay and will be booking again in the future.

Lovely cottage tucked away in centre of the town. Really close to pubs and other amenities. Booking very easy and hosts kept in touch leading up to stay. Good value for money.

We have stayed regularly in Host and Stay properties they have always been to an excellent standard.
Booking is easy and with lots of information available to view via email links. Also easy to reach by telephone and always polite and helpful.

The location of the house is amazing, probably the best in saltburn. For a lux accommodation it lacks a few maintenance issues, possibly because the house has recently been sold and is changing hands, some milk on arrival would be really good even if its just a couple of uht minis for a cuppa after a long journey, the microwave really needs replacing, its old and rust is showing when the door is opened, a few issues with the boiler losing pressure but these are small niggles which i'm sure will be addressed in the future, would definately return as the house is so nice...just a suggestion for the future owners if you choose to rent out, a pair of scissors would be really handy and the sofa in the lounge is quite uncomfortable, especially for the over 60's!

Perfect location for our tour of the Northeast. Beautiful cottage tucked away off the main street. Very well appointed and all the kitchen equipment needed for self catering- which I always enjoy. Two gorgeous bathrooms and comfortable lounge. Lovely little private outside space for the warmer weather which we luckily had. Should like to return here when we next visit the area.

We stayed at Dotty’s Retreat in Staithes. An excellent well equipped apartment, with really thoughtful touches like milk, tea, coffee and biscuits to welcome us. A car park pass was also provided. The owner Trudy was extremely friendly and helpful. She also runs Dotty’s Tearoom below, which is well worth a visit - excellent cake (well a few visits!).

Excellent location for visiting Hadrian’s Wall and other historical locations. Straightforward walk to the bus station. Free on-road parking by the accommodation. We didn’t use the car all week! Pretty historical town with various things to explore.

The ‘how to find us’ video was extremely helpful as our sat nav did not pin-point the address but we spotted the red front door.

Accommodation had everything we needed for a comfortable stay .

If your looking to take a trip to Bamburgh (which I highly recommend) to see Bamburgh Castle, walk along the coast line or visit Holly Island I would highly recommend a stay at Melody's cottage. Perfect location, great setting, homely and tidy. Would definitely stay again the family had a great time.

Absolutely beautiful cottage. Very welcoming and home from home. Thoughtful touches for our little dogs i.e. food bowls and throws.
Really clean and a lovely courtyard for outdoor eating.
The cottage itself is really spacious with extremely comfortable beds.
Will definitely stay here again.
