Great location, comfy beds, great views, easy walk to beach and village amenities

Very good communication throughout our holiday rental from Host and Stay. Very quick to respond when we asked things and invariably professional and polite. Recommend their services.

However, the owner of the property failed to mention two significant issues before the rental period - a balcony that was inaccessible and a hot tub that lost half of its water overnight. To get the 5 stars, maybe that's an area to work on - to find out before renting if there are any issues so the customer knows upfront.

That aside, we had a lovely family get together.

Comfortable bed and clean but not worth the money. Says a fully equipped kitchen but barring a couple of tiny frying pans/pans, there is nothing kitchen wise for cooking.
Says you can park on site but when I did, I got woken up at 5am by a random man I’d never seen banging on the front door for me to move my car off the driveway. Not great as a single female travelling alone.
Wouldn’t stay again for this reason.

Lovely apartment with neutral decor and a modern style. Very comfortable beds and we found everything we needed for a week's stay. Perfect Seaside location with coastal walks and beautiful views of the beach. Highly recommend.

Great location

Had a lovely relaxing weekend. Caravan was lovely, spotless and very welcoming. Very nice welcome hamper included, along with a cute little one for any doggie guests! Owner also text to check we arrived and was happy with everything and again on our departure. Would definitely recommend and look forward to staying again. Thank you 😊

This was a perfect place for a two night stay. Great central location, a well maintained flat and very spacious. Everything was very comfortable.

The location is terrific, so very quiet and the site is spotlessly clean and well maintained.
The lodge is lovely and has everything you require for a relaxing break but we were a little disapointed as it wasn`t as clean as we would have liked. We recommend a full deep clean and the windows need a better clean, inside and out.
One of the bedside lights in master bedroom was not plugged in. We pulled back the bed to plug it in. We were absolutley shocked with how dirty it was behind. It clearly hadn`t been cleaned for some months at least.
If it`s a sleep in you are looking for then this is not the place as the noisy heating pipework kicks in at 6.20 am every morning within the bedrooms.
Apart from these small issues we had a wonderful long weekend but as the cost of renting this lodge is not cheap we needed to highlight these issues.

Neighbours above a wee bit noisy but has to be expected in a basement flat.

We chose to book with Host & Stay as their pricing appeared to offer good value compared with other companies at the time. The check‑in instructions provided were clear and helpful; however, in hindsight, there were a few early warning signs that I wish I had paid closer attention to.

In the lead‑up to our stay, we received repeated emails emphasising that any damage would result in charges. A few days before arrival, I was also sent a list of insurance options—something I have never encountered with any previous lodge booking. Although it felt unusual, I opted for the highest level of cover to avoid any potential issues.

Upon arrival, we reviewed the “Welcome Book,” which included the usual rules and information. At the back, however, there were numerous pages of photographs documenting the contents of cupboards and other items—again, something I have never seen in similar accommodations.

We always take great care of any property we stay in, and this visit was no exception. We ensured everything was left clean and tidy, washed up, put the bins out, and even cleared the porch area after the storm had blown debris everywhere.

Following our stay, I received multiple reminders to leave a review. When I finally had the opportunity, I submitted a positive one. Shortly afterwards, I was extremely disappointed to receive an email accusing us of misusing the hot tub. They stated that, because they consider it “misuse” rather than an accident, the insurance I paid for does not apply, and they intend to charge an additional £50.

This is unacceptable, especially given the care we took throughout our stay.

This issue is now with the complaints department - but given the other reviews, I doubt anything positive will come out of this.

The property was beautiful with high ceilings, huge windows which flood the rooms with natural light. The bedrooms are lovely and beds are super comfortable. The location was perfect as we were staying for the weekend in order for our son to take part in the Brighton Marathon. The finish line was a few minutes walk away and the fabulous bath was most welcome at the end of 26.2 miles! The contact from the Host and Stay Team was excellent, thank you!

We stayed in this lovely apartment for 2 nights it has everything you could possibly need well equipped kitchen washing machine microwave toaster etc.Its in a quiet area but you can be in the city center in 5to 10 minutes I can definitely recommend this apartment.

Great house, great location, clean and tidy as always, everything you need is there. Used Host and Stay many times now, and they never fail, 5 star!!!

Lodge was spotless, beautiful setting looking out onto the lake. Had a slight hot tub issue which was dealt with very promptly. Food in JJ’s was excellent. Great stay here, our 3rd on this park and we will be back in the future.

Lovey house

This holiday house was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt warm, peaceful, and welcoming. The house was spotless, beautifully arranged, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The vibe was calm and relaxing, perfect for switching off and enjoying quality time. Every detail showed care and thought, making the experience feel special rather than just a place to stay. We truly felt at home and didn’t want to leave. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cozy, positive, and memorable holiday stay.

The House in Whiby was very clean well equipped kitchen iron & ironing board great having parking near to house & extra parking permit for car park 10 mins walk away for 2nd car also house was close to Whitby centre nice to have outdoor seating g in garden too
