Fantastic Lumpwood
I spotted Hillside on an episode of the Hairy Bikers and both Dave and Si raved about the product.
I’ve used the Lumpwood fuel 2 times on our Webber BBQ and it’s superb.
Burns to high temperatures and lasts to cook Lamb or Chicken joints. The natural flavours of the food are superb cooked over this Lumpwood.

Only reason I’m not giving you 5 stars…
Only reason I’m not giving you 5 stars is because the driver didn’t give a phone call prior to delivery. If you’d give at least half hour notice that you are on your way it gives me time to get help to unload the logs.

Good dry Ash logs but a little too big.
Delivery was a few days which was down to a busy period. Delivery guys were very helpful and dropped them on the drive where I requested. I am finding the size of the logs a little too chunky for my 5KW Aarow ecoburn widescreen. They require regular flipping around in order to get the log to burn entirely. The length of the log is fine, just a little too thick for my liking which effects the burn and the heat output. I've burnt kiln dried Birch, Beech and Ash previously from different suppliers all without issue. My flue has been checked and is clear and the moisture content of the log is as advertised. They are just a bit too big.
