Dean from Bridgend has been absolutely amazing at helping us find our dream car and answered any questions we have had can't thank him enough for everything he has done.
Dean was really helpful. I explained what I needed and he was very honest about the car I was potentially looking at which wouldn't have been the best option for me so he showed me others within my pr... Ver mais

Great service
First time I've ever bought a car from a main dealer - a Hyundai Tucson, approx 8 mths old. Great service from James, Agreed a date for collection and offered a deal that included a service which was delayed but still well delivered. Smooth process and happy to recommend to anyone.
Would I buy a used car from this man? Yes!
Andy was knowledgeable and approachable, and was willing to give us time to make the right decision. Thank you!
Hutchings Bridgend
I have just bought my 3rd Tucson from Hutchings Bridgend. Matthew was very accommodating, approachable and competent. Both the buying process and the handover were very smooth and painless.

They told my wife that she needed discs and pads. Which they did 18000k ago. Took it to another garage, it did need pads, but not discs. When wife said if had discs last time. They back tracked about the discs after wife questioned hyundai. Won't be using them ever again. Beware.
Damaged my car and won’t repair.
Been to Hyundai for 2 years for a service. £140 for a minor service seems average. This time I had a free wash and clean from their ‘external valeting company’, in which paint has been taken off the back of my car, probably from a jet wash but it’s a very noticeable big area where paint has gone down layers. I’ve been told there’s absolutely nothing they can do as it’s either due to the age of my car (2014) or an underlying paint issue. The woman I’ve spoken to is lovely but the company as a whole hasn’t got good customer service. Damaging a vehicle and then blaming it on age/already there? If that is the case there should be a clear disclaimer when offered the wash that they may damage the vehicle and won’t claim liability.
Great service
Had my second car from hutchings in Swansea, Sophie was the dealer we dealt with, amazing service from start to finish nothing was to much trouble, we had a good test drive and when we collected the car Sophie took plenty of time to go through the all the buttons and features on the car, will definitely be back and hope to deal with Sophie again
I find this garage really poor customer…
I find this garage really poor customer service use only first time few weeks ago very expensive two lady on reception no people skills stall very unhelpful sat in the chair to book in asked 3 questions 3 no straight away very very unhelpful
First and last time I use this garage
Took my car to Hyundai treforest for its 1 yr service, needed 2 front tyres (car has only done 4500 miles) went in again for 2 new tyres at a cost of over £300 it was the first time the wheels had been taken off. On having my car back I noticed there seemed to be a-lot of tyre compound around the wheels over 4 inches, painted on like thick emulsion. It was so thick I decided to clean them straight away and noticed both my front wheels were damaged, both in the same area near the tyre valve and both indents/ chips / paint damage rather than curb damage. On contacting the dealership we were put through to Matt a customer service manager . After a week of chasing him ( I think he was hoping we would go away ) he then got back to us to deny any wrong doing on their part , no surprise there we was expecting it. We have now fixed them ourselves at a cost of £220.
If you work hard to buy a car, look after and value it then take it somewhere else .

I purchased my car from new along with their 4 year service plan. My car was great no problems at all. On the 3rd year service an update was done...
which caused a problem with my car. Hutchings sadly.had extremely poor customer care.....we were supplied with a replacement car by them from a shoddy car hire place which tried to suggest we damaged/ stole the luggage rack.Hutchings would not provide an accurate report of what exactly they did when carrying out the service etc that resulted in our cars problem. Luckily we have now got rid of the car ( which up to that point was excellent) and mo Ed on to Lexus. Hyundai good car...Hutchings Swansea poor,!!

Sales man Paul a great sales man I brought a skoda yeti .After two weeks a stop start light come on I phoned and was asked to bring it in For a few hours which I did
On collections Steph dealt with it was put out I had to collect at 2 due to a hospital appointment her facial expression showed she was miffed I was told I need a new part and a rewire and would need to rebook it in
I asked for a car 🚗 for work they only had automatic I asked for a manual and arrange a day when I was told I could have one
Second booking Steph phoned to say they had a manual car available yippee give minutes later she phoned back no car but I could have lessons in the car park to drive an automatic I declined
Second booking I was told same as last time it needed a new loom system but they was unsure if my warranty covered it
Meeting with Mike lovely man offered to sort out the car 🚗. Unfortunately after looking into it it cost too much so I had to return the car and be refunded very disappointed I went to a dealer thinking I'd have a car for a good few years They called it back in after 1 month I hope no one ever has to experience this again and I was a one off because it was very upsetting
Car faulty from the word go
I purchased a 67 plate Astra from this dealership early July 24.
When I took delivery, the car was dirty and smelt inside even thought the salesman had promised it would have a full valet done before I collected the car.
A day after I took delivery I had an issue with the clutch, I thought it maybe a one off, so I didn’t do anything, the next day my son went out for a driving lesson in it and the same issue occurred. Phoned the garage to get the issue resolved they took it in the next day and after a few days they hadn’t found the issue, so I collect the car.
A few days later the issue occurred again, and I managed to get some photos of the clutch pedal being stuck. Returned it to the garage a second time, but again they were unable to get the clutch issue to arise, they asked me to come down to see if I could get the issue to occur but was time limited to around 10 mins and I was unable to get the issue to happen. They said the warranty company wanted a video of the issue happening which I was unable to supply but did send over the photos of the clutch pedal stuck down. I was told they needed to see a video as the photos could be “doctored”. It was a this point I formally rejected the car as I was within the 30 days of purchase which can be done under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, it was at this point I had the misfortune of having to deal with the sales manager Mike.
After speaking to Mike and telling him I wanted to reject the car he told me I had no grounds to and if I wanted to pursue that I would need to speak with trading standards, as he felt there was no issue with the car because his technicians were unable to find the fault.
After consulting with the Citizens Advice Bureau, they confirmed I was within my rights to reject the car I emailed Mike and hand delivered him a letter stating my position that I was rejecting the car.
I heard nothing from the garage for a week, during which I was speaking with a mechanic about the issue who told me to check a few things myself on the car which would confirm I had an issue with the car which I did, I was also able to get a video of the issue happening. I sent this to Mike over the weekend and I got an email back saying to bring the car in they knew what the issue was, to which I stated my position had not changed and I was rejecting the car he told be to go via trading standards at which point I informed him it would not be trading standards but the small claims court and suggested he seeks legal advice as he was unwilling to for fill is legal requirements. By the end of the day, he sent an email telling me he would take the car back for a full refund.
When returning the car there was no apology for the issues, I will not be using Hutchings again. Very disappointing behaviour for a main dealer.
Highly recommend
I highly recommend Hutchings Hyundai Pontypridd. James was absolutely so helpful and full of knowledge that I really needed as I don't know much about cars. I went in nervous, he went through everything with me, making sure I understood. Always with a smile, he made it so easy and not confusing in any way. He showed me how to work the vehicle and how to use all the gadgets. Left there today fully confident and happy with our experience.
Thank you to the staff at Hutchings and thank you James for helping me to understand our new car.
Positive experience
I recently had the pleasure of purchasing a new car from Hutchings - Swansea, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From the moment I walked into the dealership, I was greeted with friendly smiles and exceptional service. Shane, in particular, really went the extra mile to ensure I found the perfect car to meet my needs.
Shane took the time to understand what I was looking for, patiently answering all my questions and providing valuable insights. He never pressured me into making a decision, which made the entire process feel comfortable and stress-free. His knowledge about the different models and features was impressive, and he helped me find a car that exceeded my expectations.
What truly stood out was Shane's dedication to customer satisfaction. It's rare to find such personalized and attentive service these days, and Shane truly exemplified what exceptional customer service should be.
I highly recommend Hutchings - Swansea for anyone in the market for a new car. The entire team, especially Shane, made my car-buying experience a memorable one. Thank you, Hutchings, for the outstanding service and my fantastic new car!
I would rate this company less than…
Hutchings Hyundai Pontypridd ..I would rate this company less than zero. Have been a loyal customer for nine years, shoddy workmanship, damaged my vehicle whilst supposed to be repairing it and except for one or two people, rude staff who only seem to want to speak to you when you are buying something. Had nothing but trouble. Would advise not to use this dealership.

Absolute rip offs charge £130/hr for work h they don’t actually do .
Tried too charge me twice when id already paid .
Said they’d program second key too bcm they fitted but didn’t work got to take it back to be reprogrammed
Rude and overcharging inadequate service and the problem I took my vechile in for is still there and I’m £900 down ☹️☹️☹️🤮
I recently attempted to buy a car from…
I recently attempted to buy a car from Hutchings Hyundai - Bridgend, drawn in by the allure of what seemed like a perfectly fine vehicle. I was so committed that I even put down a reservation—yes, I know, gold star for me. Last Friday, I innocently inquired about the plug-in battery's health, because, you know, I like my cars like I like my smartphones: actually capable of turning on.
Meanwhile, I ditched my old car to 'Motorway' since the trade-in offer from Hutchings Hyundai was laughably low. I organized a collection with 'Motorway' for Thursday, feeling quite pleased with my cleverness.
But hold your applause! This Monday evening, Hutchings Hyundai drops an email bombshell—turns out, the car has a fault and they can’t sell it to me. Shocking plot twist, right? It's almost like they realized cars are supposed to be roadworthy before listing them for sale. Thankfully, I hadn't exchanged my car with 'Motorway' yet, dodging what could have been a devastating sequel: 'Man Without a Car.'
The whole ordeal has been an eye-opener. I wasted time, energy, and a reservation fee on a phantom car. So, a standing ovation for Hutchings Hyundai for redefining my car buying experience—I’m now off to find a more reputable brand where the cars actually move. Cheers to new adventures... far away from Hyundai.
Hutchings Pontypridd Extortionate Prices
Hutchings Hyundai Pontypridd wanted 3hours plus vat labour just to look at my car. Just shy of £350.
Extortionate for what would only amount to a tech doing a short 10 min test drive and plugging it in to their computer.
Booked with a rival dealership Wessex in Cardiff instead, a far more reasonable £80+vat to diagnose my issue.
Safe to say I won’t use Hutchings for any future servicing work or when I come to replace the car.
No tech was ever going to spend 3 hours working on the car. Blatant rip off.
What a shambles
Came to test drive a Toyota Yaris, the car was dirty and malodorous (stale cigarette smoke). More importantly it would not start. Drove an hour to get here. Connor was polite and apologetic and got jump leads but neither he nor colleagues could work out how to jump start the vehicle. Manager seemed more concerned about eating lunch with his wife while we stood outside in the rain. Connor did offer to bring the vehicle to us for a test drive at a later date but due to above-mentioned najor red flags, we declined. Won't be coming back. What a waste of time!
