Unfortunately, my experience with ICS Learn was extremely frustrating, characterised by delays, poor communication, limited support and confusing processes.

To start, assessment marking regularly went beyond the 15 working days they promise. Draft assessments, which used to be marked within 5 working days, are now also subject to the same 15-day turnaround. This makes submitting a draft for feedback almost pointless because, by the time you receive it, you may already have submitted your final assessment. These delays can quickly add up throughout the course and potentially push back the completion of the diploma, increasing the chances of having to pay for an extension.

The delays were made even more frustrating by how difficult it could be to get clear answers. I often spent hours contacting Student Services to chase updates, answers or corrections. Tutor support was very limited and only through messages. Quite often, the replies didn't actually answer my questions; some felt like copy-and-paste answers from the FAQs, while on other occasions I received no response at all. Assessment feedback could also be very generic, with comments about things such as word count or references when I was already within the requirements, which left me questioning my work and spending unnecessary time making changes.

All of these issues became much more serious when my last assessment was flagged for an AI investigation. This was an extremely stressful experience because I knew the assessment was entirely my own work. I strongly disputed the AI result and raised a number of concerns, but I never felt that I was actually being heard. Instead, I felt pushed through a rigid process where there was very little room for discussion or for my individual circumstances to be properly considered. The whole process took over five months to resolve (from the date of the first submission to final resolution), adding an enormous amount of stress and uncertainty to the final stage of my qualification.

I eventually took the matter to CIPD through their formal complaints process. CIPD's response supported my concerns about how the situation had been handled by ICS Learn, and my certificate was released less than 48 hours later. After months of trying to resolve the situation with ICS Learn, it took CIPD's intervention for the matter to be resolved and for me to receive the qualification I had completed. ICS Learn subsequently offered me £500 to settle the matter, which I accepted. But that doesn't give back the enormous amount of time and energy I had already spent dealing with the situation.

If I were to do it all again, I would still take the CIPD qualification because I believe it is absolutely worthwhile, but I would not choose ICS Learn as my training provider.

I’m giving 3 stars rather than 1 because of the support I received from Alice M. and the Student Support team, who did make an effort to listen to my concerns throughout my studies and offer support where they could.

It's a worldclass platform with great content and layout. The advisors are ver helpful and reachable and make sure you are not falling behind.

This so my 3rd time enrolling on a course with ICS. Enrolling is so easy and Anne Marie (on the support team) is amazing! She answers all my questions quickly and concisely. Course content is easy to understand and tutors are always there for extra assistance.
Cannot recommend them enough based on my experience over the last 2 years.

Absolute waste of money the maths tutor did not help told my daughter to look on YouTube and when we phoned up customer service to ask for help with booking the exams because we needed the course code I was shouted at and told to 'Do it yourself' and then hung up on. Just buy some revision guides instead this is just a scam
