Poor customer delivery and…

Poor customer delivery and communication. Have been told several times that my order will be delivered and then it is not. I myself have made products and if there is any likely delay, would be nice for the company to update and let consumers know. For the price and still no product feel it’s not worth it sadly. Have now ask for a
cancellation and full refund unfortunately

The SOS Body Balm was purchased as a pre-order item. At the time of purchase, it was clearly stated on our website that this product was available on a pre-order basis and that dispatch would take place once stock became available. As such, the order was placed with the understanding that there would be a waiting period prior to dispatch.

While we always strive to meet our estimated timelines, we sincerely apologise that the wait was longer than originally anticipated due to delays in the arrival of certain ingredients required for production.

We would also like to clarify that we proactively communicated with you regarding this delay and emailed all SOS Body Balm pre-order customers with an updated delivery timeframe, including the expected dispatch date. The product page also clearly stated that the item was being sold as a pre-order and included the estimated shipping timeline.

Having reviewed our records, we can confirm that we had already contacted you regarding the status of your order prior to your review.

As requested, your order has now been cancelled and a full refund has already been processed.

We genuinely appreciate your feedback. We hope you get the chance to experience and enjoy our natural powerful and relieving products.

The SOS Body Balm was purchased as a pre-order item. At the time of purchase, it was clearly stated on our website that this product was available only on a pre-order basis and that dispatch would take place once stock became available. Having said that, we sincerely apologise that the wait may have been longer than originally anticipated due to delays in the arrival of certain ingredients required for production.
We would also like to clarify that we have thoroughly checked our customer service records and have not located any previous emails or contact from you regarding this order prior to your review. Moreover on the 28/5 three days before your review we had emailed you regarding the status. Had we been made aware of your concerns earlier, we would have been more than happy to provide an update on your order status, before this emial too. The SOS Body Balm is now back in stock and in process of dispatching all orders. In light of this update, if you would prefer not to wait any longer for our award-winning SOS Body Balm, please contact us directly and we will be happy to arrange an immediate refund.

We were very surprised to read your message, as the SOS Body Balm is listed on our website as a pre-order item with the notice: “Expected to ship: May 25, 2026” displayed on the product page at the time of purchase.
We also checked our records and can confirm that our team responded to your message within 24 hours of receiving it, asking for your order details via Instagram so we could look into this further for you.

Lovely balm, but sadly I had an allergic reaction to it

The balm was lovely and smelt divine, but unfortunately I had an allergic reaction to it, which ILA apothecary thought was most likely due to one - or more - of the essential oils in the product. Their communication was great, and they were quick to refund me the money. Such a shame it didn't work out.

Speak Your Truth Aroma Roller does not Speak Your truth!

I purchased Speak Your Truth Aroma Roller based on its described feminine floral scent - timeless aromas of Rose, Sandalwood with a hint of vanilla. When I removed the cap, the aroma was highly unpleasant and bore no resemblance to the above. Some reviews also bore this out. Maybe a rogue batch? Either way, this product was not as described. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and the Connsumer Rights Act 2015, my rights by law, are to receive a full refund by returning the item and cancelling my order. I informed Ilapothecary that I was not happy and that the item was not as described. I asked for a return address and to be refunded in full. This Company totally ignored my request but also their lawful responsibilities as no response has been received. This is not acceptable. My advice is 'distance purchase' from this Company at your peril!

It is also one of our most loved aroma rollers and a global bestseller among our customers. Of course fragrance preferences are naturally very personal. Sorry not for me.
The smell is very odd. Room spray and rollers are not what I thought they would be. I’m very disappointed it’s a real shame as I don’t want to use chemicals.

Very poor Customer Service

I ordered an expensive item from ilāpothecary as a Christmas present and it was unfortunately broken on arrival.
I have emailed their customer services four times since then and have received no response. They state they usually respond within 48 hours, yet it has been weeks.
A very poor Customer Service experience overall.

Customer care is awful

Customer care is awful. I reached out as they had a special offer of a free lip balm on orders over £65, however when I got to checkout they said the lip balm was out of stock, yet if I added the lip balm to the order it was in stock as long as I bought it. I reached out to customer care and Nazia initially was very helpful. Unfortunately I didn’t see her response until the following day, but went back onto the website to order and this time, even though the items in my cart said £69.60 in total, when I went to check out they went up to £87. I reached out again, but no response. I have reached out three times since and nothing. For such beautiful, well made, natural products you’d think they would have a well trained, efficient customer care team, but alas this is not the case. My mission now is to find another natural, delicious smelling body balm because I won’t be buying from this company again.
