Superb Service
I was in need of a valuation on my flat and as I had purchased through JCPenny I thought that I would approach them in the first instance. Very glad that I did. Francis was the consummate professional throughout our discussions, knowledgeable about the market and willing to listen, rather than, as I’ve experienced in the past, pushing his own agenda. Extremely pleased with the service and would recommend without hesitation. Great job Francis.

Be very careful renting through JCP
We rented a property through JCP Estate agents and I would not recommend them to anyone. When we moved in the property was filthy. Any issues took months to rectify and during the last month of the tenancy they started letting themselves into the property without asking or advising us and started storing furniture in the house? Nobody replies and it’s clear they don’t care at all. We were then presented with an outrageous cleaning bill of £900! So do your homework IF you have to rent through JCP because they do not care!

We’re very sorry to hear about your experience and truly regret that the tenants and landlord couldn’t come to a resolution on deposit deductions. At JCP Estate Agents, we always strive to provide a high level of service and transparency. We believe there may have been some miscommunication between tenants regarding visits and agreements about furniture at the property. We take your concerns seriously.
Regarding the cleanliness of the property, we understand your frustration but as outlined in the checkout report cleaning was required. We have followed the proper process on behalf of the landlord and the matter has been submitted to the MyDeposits dispute resolution service for independent adjudication. While we regret that an agreement couldn’t be reached between tenants and the landlord on this occasion, please know we aim to resolve such matters fairly and within industry standards.
We appreciate your feedback and will continue to work on improving communication with all of our tenants. We sincerely apologise if the service you received did not meet the high standards we strive to uphold. If you have any further concerns, please feel free to contact us.

Jacob couldn't have been more helpful
Jacob was our primary contact at JCP and I have nothing but praise for the quality of his service. Always approachable, helpful and understanding on the phone, he gave us excellent advice about how to deal with a difficult tenant (the advice worked). His communications were efficient and helpful, and he was always quick to act to solve any problems. Jacob would be my go-to point of contact at JCP for any issue now.

First rate experience selling with JCP
The experience I’ve had selling with JCP has been first rate. Francis has been fantastic, providing excellent, straightforward advice throughout the process and securing a very good price for the house. Efficient and helpful service
I just sold my house through JCP Estate Agents. House-selling can be a stressful experience and indeed there were problems in terms of banking delays, buyers changing their mind at the last minute, and existing tenants in the house being awkward about letting prospective buyers view the house. I found Elizabeth Baddeley extremely competent, diplomatic and helpful in keeping me informed about progress or indeed lack of progress in the house selling process. I would highly recommend the estate services of JCP on Walton Street in Oxford.

Excellent estate agents
For the purchase of our house in Jericho, Oxford, we worked with Francis from JCP Estate Agents. Francis is a genuine person who never forgets the human side of things while doing business. He has his clients' best interests in mind. When things were getting a bit rough just before signing our contract, Francis was the sane voice who kept it all peaceful and made sure the sale was executed in time.
