We bought a house a year ago and used James Legal. The whole experience was so professional, so well organised and so customer friendly that it was a no-brainer as to who to use when we sold our house this month. Selling and buying a house is a stressful process but Nicky Mounsor and her team guided us confidently and logically through the process keeping us informed at each stage and reassuring us that all was in hand. Nicky is an absolute star and we can't speak too highly of her and James Legal. God forbid that we ever have to move again! However, if we do we will be going straight back to Nicky and her team. No doubt about it.

We have a tenanted property who we have managed by Lime Property. The tenants stopped paying rent and Lime property advised that they would contact their solicitor James Legal to serve a section 8 notice to the tenant. James legal contacted myself on the 17/07/2026 to get my ID clarification to act on our behalf. They were supposed to contact my sister who also owns the flat on the same day but this didn’t happen. James Legal didn’t send out the ID request to my sister till 21/07/2026 then they sent a WhatsApp to my sister they would contact her on the 23/07/2026 which again never happened. A trainee solicitor from this company rang me and continued to interrupt me when I was trying to ascertain what was happening! She very defensive and accused me of shouting but I am hard of hearing which I explained to her. She clearly did not take this on board. I have now been told by Lime property that James Legal are unwilling to represent us in this matter, clearly because we dared to question their lack of professionalism. They have ultimately delayed the proceedings and have cost us as a result. A Manager was supposed to call me last Friday and AGAIN this did not happen. Is it not a common courtesy to do this if you are indeed a professional? Lime property have apologised for all of this 2nd rate service and will be moving forward with the section 8.
I’m shocked and appalled at what is supposed to be a legal service behaving in such a petulant manner…..
