I didn't get any item! Today 17 sept 2021 though I bought a expensive knife at JAPANNY! I don't know where is my knife and Japanny did not respond to my 3 emails at all !

I purchased this knife as a gift. I wanted to give a Damascus as they are showy. While the blade is attractive and sharp, the fit and craftsmanship on the knife are sub-standard. The fit of the handle to the blade has a significant gap on the one I received. That is the sign of mediocre build. What is worse is that the turquoise fit to the bolster is quite rough. In a pinch grip, it chafes and rubs the fingers as it is a mm or two raised area of handle abutting the bolster. I have other knives from Sakai Takayuki and Shun, all of which are a delight to use and own. When I asked the support at Japanny about the fit and craftsmanship I was told " Thank you for sharing the knife condition with photos. We would say your knife looks quite normal condition. "

Knife came in a reasonable amount of time but I am highly disappointed in the knife. Blade is not sharp and takes a substantial amount of force to cut even a tomato. Japanny is never legit!

For birthday present for a chef, I bought an expensive knife at Japanny.com. But...
Had we not noticed the chip we would have ingested small shards of this blade. Very brittle and not hard ... Avoid to buy the series.
This is not a professional-level kitchen product. Unfortunately, Japanny is not standing behind its quality assurances and is not willing to provide an exchange. The customer service was terrible.
Be careful with this merchant. I faced a huge embarrassment!

Very disappointed that the knife broke clean off the handle after the first use. I know how to take care of good knives and did everything correctly. Perhaps it was a one-off? Apparently not. Customer services said they would not replace, refund or exchange and that it must be 'user error'. Basically a scam. Waste of money. Waste of time.

I bought a knife and paid for shipping. Japanny sent it by Fed Ex who used Orbit Couriers.
They increased the customs tax by 170% with their own charges. I refused to pay this, I only wanted to pay the customs charge.
Japanny took the knife back and refused to give me any refund citing all kinds of additional costs I had supposedly incurred by not paying.
I have paid money in good faith and now have no knife and no money back. I think the service is appalling and would recommend anyone not to buy.
