As a prospective tenant I found Shepherd to be attentive and responsive. Having paid my initial rental, there was a remarkable change in their attitude. Immediately after collecting the keys I advised them by telephone of landlords processions being left in the flat and that their inventory report was not worth the paper it was written on, with damaged fittings not listed and assertions made that the property had been professionally cleaned when it was left in a filthy condition. This was confirmed in writing by returning the amended inventory and requesting contact. Despite assurances made to respond, they have totally ignored me. Tenants beware. They are not interested in carrying out their duties as managing agents and you will be ignored based on my experience.

Faye Edwards has been my property manager with Shepherds for some time now. Although I don’t have to contact her very often re. my property I have found her pleasant & helpful & she has always contacted me when any problems arise & also when any checks are needed to be done & has dealt with them efficiently.

We recently moved into an apartment managed by John Shepherd Agency and they have been really helpful in sorting out our maintenance issues. A special shout out to Christina Tzemanaki at John Shepherd who has helped us with all our maintenance issues and provided clear communications. Thank you Christina for all your help and I highly recommend John Shepherd to any tenant.

Not long moved in with a minor leak under the sink , I reported it and straight away a lovely lady called Donatella Riches assisted with great customer service and this was sorted the same day with professionalism to the highest standard .

Result - leak is fixed and not returned since .

Hi I have been associated with John Shephered for more than 3 years.. The team is very supportive, I have got the beautiful house by canal with the help of Megan and she has been great support during the entire process. The best part is we got the house while we were studying and were international students, where most of the Agency refuse to proceed with students, John and Shepherd were exceptional, Megan helped us through the process and helped us to get the house. This review is about PAULINE at the Sutton Coldfield branch, NOT the whole company or the Sutton Coldfield branch. Pauline is one of the rental property maintenance managers. Super switched on lady. Has a proper handle on technical issues. Can communicate effectively and in detail on work done, how work is to be done, including all fine detail and technicalities. Gets stuff done at a million miles per hour. People like this are a rarity in my experience.

Faye has been at the end of the phone or email whenever I have needed anything and sorted things promptly.We got off to a rocky start when John shepherd first took over our estate agents but now we can't fault the service and how quickly things have been sorted. Thankyou Faye!
