I went to Jon Vincent for a full…

I went to Jon Vincent for a full battery replacement and pressure test and I was told it would take about 5 days for the kit to arrive from Tag Heuer.
The link I was given for progress updates had no update in 2 weeks and phoned and left a voicemail to find out the progress. I phoned again the following day and left another voicemail which wasn’t returned. When I mananged to speak with a staff member I was told it was ready and was dropped off by the watchmaker that morning.
When I collected the watch I was told that the online update service had been recently changed and was having a few issues and was very apologetic about the voicemails that weren’t returned.

On further examination of the pressure test receipt it was dated 6 days prior to that of being told it was ready and had been tested to 100m as opposed to 200m which the watch is supposed to be protected to. My experience overall aside from the second member of staff who I spoke with in person when collecting the watch has been poor to say in the least. I WOULD NOT recommend anyone to use Jon Vincent based on my experience and I will not be a repeat customer.

We are disappointed that we failed to meet our usual high standard of customer service, so once again we would like to express our sincere apologises for the poor communication. As we explained we are currently moving systems with the goal of keeping our customers better updated and are experiencing some teething problems with transferring everything across. With regards to the date of the pressure test, the watchmaker keeps the watch on test in the workshop to ensure everything is working correctly before he passes it on to admin for processing. Due to the time of the year we have been doing our very best to get as many watches as possible returned before the Christmas break so we are very sorry for the delay this has caused. We wish you a very happy Christmas and prosperous new year.

Proper customer care.

Was looking for a company to service and repair my 18 year old Tag Heuer 2000 Series Exclusive quartz watch, and chose Jon Vincent based on reviews on Trustpilot. I'm really glad that I did! The staff there are top class and really inspired confidence, taking the time to explain the meaning of the terms in the diagnostic report that they sent prior to commencing repairs. I have just taken delivery of my watch and unbelievably, it looks in better condition than when I first bought it! In the package was the old movement, and a rather pleasant surprise, a posh leather card holder! I would not hesitate to recommend Jon Vincent to anyone. Very impressed.

Fixed, and more

My watch had stopped working and was looking well worn with several deep scratches on it.

I was hoping Jon Vincent's would be able to get it working again, and they did. What I wasn't expecting, and was a real bonus, was they brought it back to an almost as-new condition. The whole watch had been polished and the deep scratches almost completely taken out without damaging the etched logo or serial numbers.

The watch came back looking fantastic. It also came back with all the parts that had been changed-out during the service which shows really good-practice and attention to detail.

Great service at a great price

Having entered many high street jewellers and asked for the price to service a Panerai, I was always shocked at their lack of knowledge re costs but ability to come up with a horrendous number and an extended time for return.
So when I found JON on the internet I decided to give them a shot. Best thing I ever did!!
My request email was quickly responded too, with a rough cost. On deciding to go ahead a package arrived next day with a protected box for the watch along with a prepaid fully insured envelope.
The day after posting I had an email confirming safe delivery and a date for a a full inspection. Following the inspection an email with a detailed report and full costs was provided. After permission to proceed was given a completion date was confirmed.
10 days ahead of time I was advised the watch was ready. Payment was easy, indeed I paid it straight away and the watch arrived next day.
This entire experience was quick, simple and efficient. I knew exactly what was going on and the invoice was exactly as per the estimate.
I cannot recommend this company too highly and would recommend their service without hesitation. Don't use the High Street, they are very expensive and return of you timepiece can take months.

The service was excellent - very efficient and informative answering all my questions. I was somewhat nervous about sending my pride and joy through the post, but they made the whole process very simple and secure. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again

Cartier Tank Francaise

My watch, purchased 2nd hand in 2016 stopped running. Having no real knowledge of the history of my watch, either in terms of servicing and previous treatment I was concerned. Rather than take it back to whom I purchased it from I decided to send it to an authorised repairer.
JVW came up during an internet search. The prices, athough quite scary, seemed very competitive indeed and the reviews looked favorable.
An initial enquiry via the website was answered promptly and certainly gave the impression that a service, investigation and repair was necessary.
The prepaid postage service made the process of sending my watch very straightforward. The communcations: to say my watch had arrived; to explain what work needed doing (and what had probably caused the problem); anticipated time to repair and order parts was all excellent.
My watch was returned about 3 weeks earlier than the anticipated date, repaired, running, scratches polished out, keeping excellent time and looking smarter than it had ever done in my ownership.
Whilst having to pay for an unexpected repair came as a bit of a shock, I am very happy with the work done and pleased to know that my watch is now in excellent shape.

The 5 star way to turn around a problem

This so easily could have been a 1 star review. There was a mix up in the pricing quoted for a replacement bezel for my Omega Seamaster. However realising their mistake not only did they honour the quote they actually did the job at cost price. The service was swift and of a fantastic quality. I highly recommend Paul and his team and when my timepiece needs it's next service there will only be a choice of one place to go.

omega seamaster had a hard life never…

omega seamaster had a hard life never of my wrist in sixteen years and i was a chainsaw operator. repaired by Jon Vincent now keeps better time than when new

Good service

Good service. Secure postage well used, and watch service took a bit of time but done well. problems with the watch after a few months but repaired under warranty without any question.

Seadweller service

I needed to have my Seadweller serviced, the previous service shop no longer did Seadwellers.
I looked online and read the reviews for JVWatchmakers which were good and they use genuine Rolex parts.
I got a quote for the work required, sent my watch (Insured) and waited.
I had emails to confirm receipt of the watch, inspection findings, how long for repairs and when my watch was ready.
I am very happy with the service and my watch is as good as new.
I would recommend J V Watchmakers to service your watch.

Omega Seamaster Service

I was debating whether to send my Omega Seamaster back to Omega for a service when these guys popped up on my Facebook page. This has been a hassle free experience, where I was regularly updated on the progress of my service and my watch was returned to me in a condition that I can only describe as looking brand new. I have no reservations in recommending them to others and will be using JVW for future services.

Rado watch repair and service

The repair was exactly what was needed, and the quality of the service that I received from Jon Vincent was excellent. The watch was away for a reasonable time but I was kept informed at all stages. I certainly am extremely happy to recommend the quality of their service.

IWC full service

I can highly recommend JV watchmakers.
I have just recently had my IWC fully serviced by them, who incidentally are one of only a few IWC approved Watch repairers in the UK.
Their service was very professional, and communication was high throughout the process.

Excellent Service

I recently sent in my daughter’s watch to be repaired and for a full service. Greg could not have been more helpful and kept me informed of progress. He also managed to secure a part for the watch from the Swiss manufacturers which I had been unable to do myself. My daughter is so pleased with her watch which is now working perfectly. Absolutely fantastic service and will certainly use this company again.
