Sedgemoor District Council and Somerset West and Taunton Council was one of the original key partners along with Bristol City Council and Lendology in setting up the loan scheme approx. 15 years ago. The products were devised to assist vulnerable, low income households to access affordable low interest loans which many lenders on the high street would not have entertained. Lendology have stayed true to the products and their ethos in supporting our vulnerable clients to get the help they need to undertake essential repairs to their home so that they can remain safe, warm and secure in the knowledge that they can afford to repay their loans. Avoiding further disrepair to the property and falling foul of loan sharks. Lendology also work alongside Somerset's preferred Home Improvement Agency Somerset Independence Plus (SIP). SIP support clients by surveying the home, preparing schedules of work, finding good contractors and overseeing the work financed by the clients loan through Lendology. The partnership of Lendology and SIP providing a 360 service for the client, taking the hassle away. I highly recommend Lendology for their products, customer service and support to our residents in Sedgemoor and Somerset West and Taunton.

I would so highly recommend. It’s been a huge relief to deal with a company that really does have ‘heart and mind’. Being a landlord can often mean having to jump through hoops when borrowing money and dealing with officious institutions. However, Lendology have a totally different approach, making everything easy, uncomplicated and actually cost effective. I will be using again, and thank them for their help.

I can’t fault the customer care of the Lendology team who were always efficient and polite to deal with. However, it should be made clear that loans are only available if you have a limited disposable income (I’ve yet to find out what the maximum limit is). I cannot find any indication of this on their site or that the applicants local council has the final say. For someone who has never asked for such a loan before to go through the whole process of providing their personal financial details only to be turned down after many weeks of waiting is quite a degrading process. Very very disappointed with the whole process,

As an organisation they put customer engagement and satisfaction as the heart of their delivery and engage positively with their local authority partners to develop new products to meet the every changing needs of their customers.
They will only lend to clients where the Lendology loan is the most appropriate financial solution to meet that customers needs, which is why they have the support of many Local Authorities in the South West.

We have been working with Lendology as a Local Authority partner for quite a while now. We have always tried our best to help or develop creative solutions to help residents to repair or improve their homes. The team have great skills and empathy in supporting residents through the application process.

Just had an email from you - about Supporting Homeowners to Remain Independent at Home. It's a wonderful scheme BUT I tried and tried to get help and pay for things, but you can't borrow anything unless you've been in your house for 5 years ... I bought my house BECAUSE it had the potential to create a downstairs bathroom, so had to apply for a DFG, which of course I won't get. Also need to do other things, but I am now stuck with a noose around my neck - can't adapt it, can't improve it, can't sell it ... I will be dead before I can borrow the money to live comfortably in my own home.

I spoke to a few members of the team, Harriet, Lee, Chelsea and Philippa, all very helpful and dealt with my application quickly and kept me informed at all times, much appreciated.

I work closely with Lendology as a local authority partner, and have always found Lendology to be professional and responsible with their lending. They respond to customers quickly and in my experience only lend when it is truly affordable for the client, signposting clients to alternative grant funding where it is available. I have always found Lendology staff to be flexible and friendly in their approach to find the right solution for the individual client.

Good Communication. Answer telephone calls promptly. Fast turnaround if viable. Human approach rather than an algorithm!

We had a problem at home requiring immediate repair. We contacted Lendology and could not have been more happy we did. Our loan was completed extremely quickly efficiently and simply Ellie was wonderful very caring and understanding and took our circumstances into account. We would use them again if we needed too. We are very happy to highly recommend to anyone considering using them.

They were wonderful from start to finish and always communicated with you. I would highly recommend them.
