Plants are well packaged and promptly…

Plants are well packaged and promptly delivered. Will be interesting to see how they mature as they are really tiny at the moment but I know from experience pond plants can grow rapidly. Plants look to be really healthy and the delivery updates are great for ensuring you know when the package is arriving so you can get them pond side promptly

We’re very sorry to hear that all of your plants failed so quickly and understand how disappointing and frustrating that must be, especially when you’ve taken the time to plant them properly.

Plants should arrive in a viable condition and be capable of establishing with the correct planting and care. If everything declined within a day or two, that suggests there may have been an issue either with the condition on arrival or with how they were handled in transit, and that is something we take seriously.

We appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to review what may have gone wrong with your order. If you haven’t already, we would encourage you to contact us directly with your order details so we can investigate this properly and look at how best to resolve it for you.

Dreadful...

Order placed at the beginning of the year for a number of perennials in various sizes (9cm / 1l / 3l) with delivery in March 2026 (or so it said on the website and on the order confirmation). I finally received notification that my order had been shipped at the beginning of April and then heard nothing - a week later tracking suggested that RM were still awaiting handover of the plants. Two weeks later and they finally arrived in a very small parcel. Disappointingly upon opening I found that they were all small bare roots rather than the potted plants I believed I had ordered - some mouldy, one slimy, one missing altogether and all of them in plastic bags with barely any soil in unlike the plants you get form other sellers, and definitely not the equivalent of the plant fitting the pot sizes I had ordered. In addition there were no instructions in the package for how to plant bare roots for those not in the know – after looking online I found out it’s also really late in the season to be planting these out. Using their online chat has been painful too. Just an awful experience.

We’re very sorry to hear about your experience and understand how disappointing and frustrating this must have been, especially given that you ordered well in advance and expected established potted plants in specific sizes.

To clarify, perennial pre-orders can sometimes be supplied as bare root material depending on seasonal lifting and growing conditions at the time of dispatch. However, this should still be clearly presented, and the plants should arrive in a healthy, viable condition with appropriate packaging and sufficient guidance for planting. What you’ve described — including mould, deterioration, missing items, and lack of instructions — is not the standard we aim for.

We also apologise for the delays in dispatch communication and the difficulties you experienced with tracking updates and live chat support. We understand how concerning and frustrating it is when there is uncertainty around an order and no clear resolution.

Your feedback is being taken seriously and will be reviewed with our team, particularly around product presentation, quality control at dispatch, and customer communication. If you would still like this looked into further, we would encourage you to contact us directly with your order details so we can investigate properly and address the missing and poor-condition items.

We are genuinely sorry for the disappointment this has caused.

Poor service, dire customer service

I ordered bare root brunnera and anemones in 1L pots. After 12 days in transit being bounced about, loose in a large box the bare roots were dry and disintegrating, the anemones' (not in pots) greenery had all broken off. Lincs Pond Plants took a week to answer my request (supported by photos) for replacements or a refund. No replacements, no refunds. Not even an apology for the poor service.

Update May 18th following Lincs Pond Plants reply of April 24th - note that no refund or replacement has ever been offered.

We’re very sorry to hear about your experience and understand your frustration. What you’ve described regarding the condition of the bare roots and anemones on arrival, the extended transit time, and the lack of response and resolution you received is not the standard of service we aim to provide.

Bare root and young perennial plants are particularly sensitive to prolonged transit and should be carefully packed and dispatched in a condition that ensures they remain viable on arrival. If they arrived dry, damaged, or with significant loss of foliage, that is clearly unacceptable.

We also apologise that your request for support took so long to be answered and that you did not receive a resolution or acknowledgement in the way you should have. Communication and aftercare are an essential part of our service, and we recognise that this fell short in your case.

Your feedback has been noted and will be reviewed internally so we can address both packing standards and response times.

Time wasters and liars... Appalling expereince!!

I placed a pre-order (#17826) of nearly £300 in mid-October 2025, which was meant to be dispatched in mid-March 2026... and here we are, nearly at the end of April, I have been messed about non-stop, receiving no plants, with a small percentage of my order being refunded... a total scam!

Since March, I have been constantly told they are running late and that the order will be dispatched shortly; it never is. I was even sent a Royal Mail tracking number (YT888200641GB) and told I needed to wait for a few days for it to be updated... it never was.

Really annoyed, as I could have pre-ordered elsewhere and got what I needed and saved myself endless ridiculous emails and nonsense... and now it is too late for this year!

... and I still dont even have a full refund!

A complete waste of time. Will never be using this company again, and now have to waste more time forcing a refund via a credit card chargeback!

***Update to the reply on 24th April ***

Your reply just further exemplifies your complete lack of care. I have aleady provided my order number in my initial review, along with tracking number you sent me. You can easily find my email address and contact me or call me to try and resolve... yet you write "I strongly encourage you to contact us directly with your order details"

For context, I have emailed you countless times... most of which have been ignored. When I call the number you advertise, your voicemail says you are unavailable and too busy to answer the phone!

I am very much out of pocket and about to file a chargeback to recover the missing money from your complete service failures.

If you want to make this right, then YOU need to reply to my emails or, even better, call me on the phone number provided with my order.

Interesting that this company has 4.6 review, because if you look at the same company on Shopify you get 2.3 .

Well I’m with the less than 2.3. I’m not at all conversant with pond plants, but as a keen gardener I am used to buying quality garden plants online. I ordered over £100 of various plants, potting media and baskets from this company. This order took over a week to be delivered by Royal Mail. The company said it was despatched and Royal Mail said it was waiting for it for days. I tried to contact them and left two telephone messages, apparently there was no one to take my call… I wonder if ever there is someone there at all? The call is definitely one that pushes you to use the web site or email. I tried the website contact form, duly filled it out and…. Yes…l got absolutely no response from anyone. So suddenly, after nearly a week Royal Mail tell me that they have it and it was delivered today, The disappointment with their offerings is indescribable, the water Lilly seemed almost dead and the others not much better, their compost seemed, compared with the aquatic one I bought from my local aquatic centre, as poor quality. I could have bought it all locally for a fraction of the price and vetted the quality too.

So, I will not be using them again, no customer service and really poor quality plants. How in earth they competed at Chelsea is a mystery.

We also apologise for the lack of communication you’ve described. Not being able to reach someone by phone or receive a response via email or contact form is not the standard of service we aim to provide, and we appreciate how frustrating that would have been.

Regarding the dispatch tracking, Royal Mail scanning delays can sometimes create a gap between dispatch confirmation and tracking updates, but we appreciate this does not change the impact it had on your experience or the uncertainty it caused.

We are also sorry to hear that the plants arrived in poor condition. Water lilies and aquatic plants should arrive in a viable, healthy state, and what you’ve described does not reflect our quality expectations.

It’s easy, it’s exciting, and it could be your lucky week’. That’s what Lincs Plants’ leaflet says about their Weekly Draw. But it’s an accurate statement of their service too. Easy to order, exciting to open the cleverly packaged plants when they arrive, and it makes the week to put the plants in place. Thus could just be what the future of plant buying looks like.

Water Lilly’s delivered next day and when I opened the packet they they were perfectly healthy. Soil, aggregate and pot just the right size. Planted in the pond now so fingers crossed will get some flowers this summer.
