Customer service fabulous
I placed an order online and several calls were made to my phone which I took to be nuisance calls however I answered the 3rd call thankfully.
The lovely lady from loads of stone pointed out that I'd placed an order for sample bags not the 20kg bags of blue slate that I thought I'd ordered. And it was a very expensive option. She looked at the best and cheapest options for me to get what I actually wanted ending up with a refund because a 1/2 bulk bag cost a lot less than 15 separate bags and you get more slate.
She told me roughly when to expect the order which she was correct about and although the driver got a bit flustered because we live on a hill so the tail gate wouldn't come up initially. We used a few minutes of logical thinking and both learnt the laws of physics successfully delivering a huge bag of lovely blue slate which I am chuffed to bits with.
Thank you to loads of stone I will definitely recommend.

I ordered 500kg of Scottish pebbles from Loads Of Stone
I read the bad reviews and was concerned - I wrote to them I received a response reassuring me the next day I also received a message telling me my delivery was due in a few days later.
I also received a message from the delivery company saying the same
I then received my pebbles on time as promised
I am extremely happy with the pebbles but even more impressed with the excellent customer service
I will definitely use them again and have recommended to all my friends and family

We purchased from Loads of Stone, promptly received order confirmation, and were able to track the progress of the order through the online chat, and through the tracking link. We chose them because of their competitive pricing, great range and user-friendly site.
Once we received the dispatch confirmation, we received a phone call the following day for the courier to ensure we could accept delivery the day after that. The website stated 4-8 working days, which was accurate and reasonable given its heavy/large haulage.
The delivery driver was excellent, and incredibly helpful.
Overall, we have had a very positive experience, and would certainly use Loads of Stone again.

I recently ordered two tonnes of decorative chippings from Loads of Stone because their prices were by far the most competitive. I placed the order before checking the reviews, and I’ll admit—reading them afterwards made me really anxious. Concerned, I called the company and spoke with Danah in customer service. She was absolutely outstanding—one of the best customer service reps I’ve ever dealt with. She took the time to answer all my questions and completely put my mind at ease.
The stones arrived on time, and I’m genuinely thrilled with the quality. Overall, a fantastic customer experience. Highly recommended!

Good customer service
I ordered a bag of stones to top up my front garden. Ordering was simple and the stones arrived 3 days earlier than I expected on a Sunday. The delivery man was polite and put the heavy bag where I wanted it. Good service all round. Would definitely order again.

Order took nearly 3 weeks to arrive. Could not leave a message as messages were full. No response to emails. Some bags were burst on delivery. The full order did arrive although with no notification of delivery date or time however the delivery guy was helpful. Their customer service is lacking though.

Excellent Product but check delivery timing
The delivery took over 2 weeks to arrive. After talking it through with Denah, who took an action to rectify the situation and put further process improvements in place so that other customers do not have similar experience. Delivery charges were refunded promptly. The product was of excellent quality. Well done Denah and thank you for taking my constructive feedback on board.

After an initial mix up with timings…10/10
After an initial mix up with timings, which threw my plans a little, the Double Bag of soil I ordered came a day late…. But. The soil is lovely quality, and the total delivery charge was refunded back to me - much more than JUST the next day charge that should have come back. A very kind gesture on their part, and Im genuinely grateful for it too. Although my experience wasn’t what was expected, LoadsOfStone.com put right that wrong and made a positive impact instead of a negative one. 10/10 from me. Thank You, Neill

Hit and miss
Four things turned up on time and great - two things never made it. Have emailed three times and left two voicemails and no one has replied. EIther this is a bit of a dodgy place, or they've had a go at using Google ads and are just totally overwhelmed and under-resourced. I will keep persisting to get my money back.

Do not buy from this company
Ordered stones at the end of March. Website said 3-5 days, but it took a week for a dispatch note. Paypal had defaulted to my old address so I rang the courier who stopped the delivery and told me to get in touch with Loads of Stone to reroute, I did and they duly actioned it. 2 weeks later nothing had arrived so I chased, no response, a further week later I chase again and no response. I placed the order on the 23rd March, it is now the 5th May, and I have had no response from this company since the 21st April. I have opened a PayPal dispute to try and get my money back.

Ordered gravel more than two weeks ago, delivery has not arrived. Email asking where it is has not been answered and the only contact number is a mobile phone: message left, not answered. Avoid like the plague. I wish I'd read the reviews here before ordering.

I ordered wrong size bags of stone off their website,when I realised what I'd done,I thought ok call them or e mail them,cancel the order and amend it to the order I want, i tried calling them,15 times over three days,no answer,couldn't even leave a message as inbox was full,e mailed them five times,in that time I had a date for my delivery that I wanted to cancel,funny how there was someone there to get delivery out but no one there to answer a phone or e mail,eventually I had an e mail telling me to send the wrong items back at my cost and then re order,I replied that I'd been trying to contact you 3 days before the delivery was confirmed so they should pay delivery,I've had no answer,obviously a rip off company with absolutely no morals,give this company a wide berth and order from elsewhere.

Ordered 3 things, only 2 arrived (in two different deliveries on two different days with no comms from this company at all). No comms before, during, or after. No explanation. No service. No responses at all. Looks like this is a common experience. Order from somewhere else.

Out of 17 20kg bags of gravel
Out of 17 20kg bags of gravel, 10 were burst! Gravel all over lorry floor, pavement etc. Lost probably 2 full bags in total! Emailed them several times NO RESPONSE! Delivery took more than 2 wks, despite quoting 5-7 days. TERRIBLE COMPANY. Do not use them. Macclesfield, Cheshire.
