All of our will writers have a legal and ethical duty of care to highlight any potential vulnerabilities or risks in a client’s estate planning. That means we are required to explain additional protections, even if a client has come in only wanting the basics.
The intention is never to pressure, but to ensure that clients are making fully informed decisions, rather than discovering later that something important was never mentioned.
Ultimately, all decisions always remain with you and you were absolutely within your rights to stick to the basic will.

Good overall experience!
Overall, I had a very positive experience, and the price was excellent, especially as it was on sale. The consultation call was clear and informative, and everything was explained really well by a friendly and knowledgeable advisor.
The appointment was arranged quickly, and the treatment itself was efficient, taking around 30 minutes, which I appreciated.
One thing I would highlight is that there were a couple of stronger sales moments during the appointment, with additional products being presented. I would recommend not feeling pressured to commit on the day—take the time, as I did, to do some external research and consider your options more broadly.
That said, overall I’m very happy with both the process and the final result.

Polite and efficient team
The initial phone appointment over the phone seemed rushed. I thought my instructions were clear but when l was sent my Will to confirm my wishes it was completely wrong.
What l would say although it took 2 attempts to get it correct, it was done quickly and efficiently.
All correspondence was professional and polite.

Rip off on Power of attorney details
Will writing was fine, I was asked about my Lasting Power of Attorney, I explained I was considering doing this myself by printing off the forms from the internet was advised that if I did anything wrong this could get quite expensive, I enquired how much for them to do and was told £199 so I thought maybe safer. They sent me the completed forms which I had to send to the Office of the Public Gardian, I then received two letters from them informing me I had to pay £92 for each form,when I phoned Secure Legacy to complain as thought this fee was included was told it told me on the information included with my forms. I consider it a bit late to be informed of this after the forms had been completed and I had already paid, this should have been explained from the start. This is really expensive and I could have saved a lot of money if I had done this myself as previously intended. £199 for printing off forms and filling in details, something I was going to do myself and could of done. Be careful of this company they dont tell you all the information.

Drafted wills totally incorrectly
Drafted wills totally incorrectly. Wrong beneficiaries, wrong executors, even spelt my name wrong!
Several promised phone calls to remedy this didnt happen. No apologies.

As discussed during our telephone conversation today, the minor errors identified in the draft documents, will be amended before the final versions are produced.
We also explained the circumstances surrounding the missed calls and offered our apologies for any inconvenience caused. We are therefore reject the statement that no apology was given, as this was addressed during our conversation.
We take client feedback seriously and have acted promptly to resolve the issues raised. In light of the clarification provided and the fact that the amendments are being made, we respectfully request that you reconsider and remove your review.

Absolutely awful people to deal with
Absolutely awful people to deal with. I feel I have been scammed and frauded out £146!
I cannot continue with the Will process and they will not refund me. Beware of aggressive sales and paying upfront for non service!

We contacted you directly yesterday to explain our position and to address your concerns.
Your appointment was completed and your will was drafted in accordance with the information provided during your consultation. The first request for a refund was received more than a month after your appointment, following an automated reminder inviting you to review your draft will.
As discussed, the reason you have been unable to proceed is due to a personal issue regarding your chosen executor, not because the service was not provided. We have advised that once this matter is resolved, we can update your will accordingly.
Our 14-day money-back policy is clearly stated at the time of booking and is available on our website. As your refund request was made well outside this period and after the service had already been delivered, we are unable to offer a refund.
To suggest that you were "scammed" or that no service was provided is simply inaccurate. Your consultation was conducted, your instructions were taken, and your draft will was prepared. We remain willing to assist you in completing your will once the executor issue has been resolved.
