Check your webmail spam.
Updated same day.
Had a call to say that emails and docs had been sent. Checked through my webmail and emails had been sent and been redirected into spam by my isp.
I appreciate this now that I’ve had a phone call telling me so I could extend my search past my inboxes on my tablets and phone.
This experience could have been improved if I’d been called when they didn’t receive a response to their email or my email on 25/7. Just to be clear I had checked my Junk and spam folders on my devices, just not my webmail spam.
Had an appointment on 7 July and it’s now 30 July and no documents sent. Have now sent two chasing emails as not had a reply to the first sent on 25 July.
Am posting as don’t want others to be in the same boat!

They are helpful, patient and very quick in sending a draft copy to peruse to ensure one is happy with it before posting the final document for signing with detailed advice on what to do to ensure document is properly signed and legal.

Learn from our mistake
Learn from our mistake, we added on Power of attorney over the phone for £395 each! which is a simple form you can fill out yourself and we were not told about the administration fee you have to pay OPG anyway an £92 each so that is a another £368. They also kept making silly mistakes with the Will. I would avoid using them at all and go and see someone in person. Will be much less painful.

A time was given for the phone call and…
A time was given for the phone call and 45mins later it was connected to me by a different person than what I was told .
Reading my draft will I had found many mistakes it has hopefully been rectified now as next draft coming in post fingers crossed .
In hindsight I would prob pay for a local solicitor to write my will .Sovereign done my last one years ago and it was excellent.

We only had a telephone conversation on thurs 23rd July and even tough there was a mistake it was rectified quickly and the wills were ready to post out to us 27th July

Very very pushy on sales add ons
Sadly I found the phone call to discuss my requirements for my will very very sales and pushy. The lady was more interested in pushing the add on services and didn’t listen to me at all. At one point I actually had to say to her I’m not interested repeatedly, at which point she over talked me and said I’ve emailed a video to explain and will call back in 5 minutes then hung up! She called back to overtalk me for the rest of the call. I then had to email back 3 times with draft copy as incorrect. Not impressed and it’s definitely NOT an a service to give any sort of advice just a form / box filling exercise. If I hadn’t already paid my money have cancelled.

All of our will writers have a legal and ethical duty of care to highlight any potential vulnerabilities or risks in a client’s estate planning. That means we are required to explain additional protections, even if a client has come in only wanting the basics.
The intention is never to pressure, but to ensure that clients are making fully informed decisions, rather than discovering later that something important was never mentioned.
Ultimately, all decisions always remain with you — (and you were absolutely within your rights to stick to the basics you wanted.)
