All round really good experience with Lockings.

Can’t recommend Lockings enough, as a first time buyer everything was new to me and nothing was ever too much trouble for them when I had questions. Even when there was no update the team sent me an email with the latest information. Completions had to be rushed through and again couldn’t have asked for more from the Lockings team.

We recently used Lockings Solicitors for both the sale and purchase of our properties, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the service we received. From start to finish, the communication was excellent – even when dealing with unresponsive solicitors on the buyer’s side, Katrina ensured we were always kept informed.

What really stood out was how proactive and transparent the team was. Even when there was nothing new to report, Katrina would still check in, which meant we never felt left in the dark or unsure of what was happening. Her open and honest approach put our minds at ease at every bump in the road.

We needed to change our wills and it was done over the phone. It was quite simple and we visited the office to sign it of within a couple of weeks. I may be behind the times but I thought it very expensive for what we wanted.

Excellent service. Everything explained clearly. Our Wills and LPAs completed quickly and as expected. Lovely staff. Would highly recommend.

Lockings were hands down one of the most annoying companies I have had to deal with in a long time, and we still have open actions from them from our house sale which completed more than a year ago now. They just don't seem to chase anything proactively or provide any kind of timely updates unless you hound them, making work you are paying for into more work that you have to do. We had to argue with them and challenge them on legal matters regarding our house, and they left us in some really difficult situations failing to get clarity on important points.

I would never use them again unless they can clearly show what they have done to fix their lack of process and urgency, and encourage others considering them to be sceptical of the high reviews (see the Trustpilot warning about how they are getting their reviews) and to at least be quoting some other solicitors.

We highly recommend Lockings Solicitors to help you sell your house and buy a new one. Their advice, support and care was second to none. They are a highly professional and knowledgeable company. We also believe the cost was very reasonable.
As expected there were a few hurdles to get over but everyone, especially Lucy, was there to provide reassurance and advice. Thank you all so much,
