LCT advertise all the time that they have a solid exit strategy. They do not. I have been trying to sell my casks for well over a year and despite all the platitudes from Oliver and Mark, only 1 of 5 has moved on. Other cask traders have on line trading platforms that allow an easier exit but LCT despite advising on Facebook that exit is easy, can not shift anything.

Rick has been nothing short of amazing. I have just bought my first cask and the process looked daunting but with a series of calls with Rick he’s calmed my nerves and answered every stupid and sometimes not stupid question I had. But most importantly explained and guide me through the buying process. Absolutely brilliant!

At first it seemed like a perfect option for long time investment.

After Joshua found out I'm not investing straight away the service and friendlyness dropped.

To be honest.
I was left a feeling of a possible scam.
Can't recommend.

I have just purchased my first cask! I am new to this area of investment so didn’t know the ins and outs. Rick gave me a call and discussed everything with me. Answered all of my questions to help me feel at ease and confident I was making the right decision for me. What I appreciated was there wasn’t a pushiness to purchase more than one cask which I have found can happen with other companies. Rick was understanding and patient throughout the process as I know I wasn’t the best at communicating and getting back to him, so for that a huge thank you! If you’re thinking about taking the plunge into whisky investment then I definitely recommend London Cask Traders and Rick! Thank you!

I hunted this company out based apon their good reviews and wanting to invest in whisky. Louis called and was extremely pleasant and very knowledgeable. He arranged a number of casks for me to consider. It was an easy chat and there was no pressure. I decided on a Tullibardine cask, notified Louis and he called back to make arrangements for purchase. Again, a pleasant chat. I was offered the usual welcome pack as well as a bottle of Tullibardine which was a nice gesture. Conversation continued after the sale, general chit chat during which Louis asked what I was up to over the weekend, I said it was my wife's birthday and I was taking her out. Totally unexpectedly he offered to send her a bottle of something for her birthday on him which amazed me and finished the call on a high.
I also had a follow up call from Mark the CEO to check on my experience, I asked some questions about a whisky I was interested in and he said he would hold it for me and I could decide on the purchase following completion of my current one. Again, a very pleasant chat.
My welcome pack arrived, it was missing whisky stones, also the Tullibardine and my wife's birthday gift. I messaged admin and got no answer so messaged Louis who apologised and said he would check. Louis came back to me saying there was some admin confusion as I had arranged to purchase a second cask, but the stones and missing bottles had now been sent.
The whisky stones arrived, but again the bottles were missing. I had received an email from the head of admin regarding my second purchase invoice, so I contacted her regarding the missing bottles, I got no reply, so the following day I contacted Louis explaining the situation. He checked again and said that admin said the bottles had been sent separately special delivery.
It's now 4 days later and I still have no bottles and no reply to my enquiries from admin or head of admin from over a week ago.
My conclusion is that a very pleasant experience has been soured slightly by poor admin. It's a shame, Louis did a great job and seems to have chased the missing items on more than one occasion. Mark the CEO also made it a positive experience.
The Tullibardine was part of my agreement of sale so if I'm honest is a little irritating. The gift for my wife was just a lovely gesture that has so far, failed to materialise, so is only an issue as she was in the car on the call so has asked if it's actually coming.
I still believe investing in whisky casks is good thing to do.
I'm keeping a positive outlook and hope that admin sort it out. I'm a little pensive as there's also a bottle linked to my pending purchase.
UPDATE: Mark called to see how things had gone with my purchase, I told him about the delays. He was concerned and apologetic that it had taken the shine off my experience, he explained that business had increased and he was in the process of increasing his staff due to workload, he said my bottles had definitely been dispatched as he had checked personally.
The bottles arrived today, a hiccup in communication and outside agency delivery times, all is well.

I received amazing support and guidance from two team members, Alice and Andrew. Although the communication could have been quicker, they went above and beyond to resolve my issue.

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff, making it easy to get the information required to understand what you’re buying and how it’s all looked after.
Also very easy to get in touch with when I had questions and they get back to you quickly making the process quick and simple from start to finish.
Cannot recommend them enough if whiskey investment is what you’re looking for.

I have purchased 2 casks through London Cask Traders which are now safely stored at Volpe and Castello and gaining value as they mature.
The company made the process easy and I'm very happy with the deal.
They also hold regular whisky tasting dinners and visits to distilleries and warehouse which are great!

I purchased my first Cask with the help of Rick who made it very easy and straightforward. Loads of information given and I Will be looking to purchase more in the future.

I have found some companies in the cask trading market to not provide full disclosure on commissions and fees - not these guys! Full upfront ‘we take x% when you sell’

I have always found full disclosure of how the market works, upcoming changes and potential additions to my portfolio. They also offer advice on how best to manage my portfolio taking into account the short-medium-long term plans!
