About Slick Removals Slick Removals is a professional man and van, house removals, and clearance company based at 56 Blaby Road, South Wigston, Leicester LE18 4SD. Established in 2017, we are an owner-operated, registered limited company (10717337), VAT registered (490769741), and an Environment Agency Upper Tier Waste Carrier (CBDU401549). As a Checkatrade Approved Member (ID 1140020), our identity, insurance, and trading status are independently verified. Every job is led personally by our DBS-checked owner—the exact person who takes your booking turns up on the day. Transparent Removals Pricing & Equipment We bill fairly with no hidden fees, no stairs charges, and no local call-out fees: 1-Man Service: £59 per hour (VAT included) 2-Man Team: £89 per hour (VAT included) A standard 2-hour minimum applies, billed in fair 5-minute increments thereafter. We run a medium-wheelbase Vauxhall Movano L2H2—sized to fit Leicester's narrow terraced streets so we can park right at your door. Every job arrives fully equipped at no extra cost, including a Magliner pneumatic sack truck, an Evo Super piano skate, Shoulder Dolly lifting straps, a 450kg-rated Sealey access ramp, a Makita cordless impact driver for rapid dismantling, and quilted transit blankets. House Clearance & Rubbish Removal We provide licensed furniture disposal, sofa removal, garage clear-outs, and general rubbish removal. We operate a strict "donation first" policy, working with Age UK at Gypsum Close to rehome usable items. For waste that must be disposed of, we use licensed commercial transfer stations. For clearances, we offer our standard hourly rate plus actual tip fees and a 10% admin charge for complete transparency, or a fixed-price £103 "Micro-Clearance" for up to 3 items within Leicester City. Every clearance job comes with a digitally signed VAT invoice confirming the waste collected, our EA carrier licence number, and full disposal details. Areas We Cover We serve Leicester city and all of Leicestershire with no local call-out fee, covering: Leicester city centre, Oadby, Wigston, South Wigston, Knighton, Clarendon Park, Stoneygate, Evington, Braunstone, Glenfield, Leicester Forest East, Birstall, Thurmaston, Syston, Anstey, Groby, Blaby, Countesthorpe, Whetstone, Fleckney, Kibworth, Great Glen, Narborough, Enderby, Broughton Astley, Kirby Muxloe, Earl Shilton, Hinckley, Burbage, Loughborough, Shepshed, Quorn, Sileby, Mountsorrel, Melton Mowbray, Market Harborough, Lutterworth, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, and Coalville. Booking and Payment To secure a booking, we take a £50 deposit by bank transfer, which is fully deducted from your final bill. Final payment is due on completion before we leave. I found this company to be very responsive and flexible. They treated my furniture with respect and were pleasant to be around. I have cats and they were also okay with this which is important for animal lovers.

Excellent movers
We were messed around with our moving date, but speedy removals were flexible and were able to help us. Communication was excellent, with messages answered immediately and throughout the process. The driver was friendly and helpful and made our move much smoother. Pricing was fair and I will definitely use this company again.

Great House Clearance in Leicester
Fantastic service! They carried out a full house clearance in Leicester and managed to clear the entire place in just one day—really impressive. Communication for booking and organising everything was also great, quick and straightforward. Both were polite, helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. They just got on with the job efficiently and without any fuss. I can see why they’re so highly rated, I’d definitely recommend them to anyone needing a house clearance in Leicester or the surrounding area.

Reliable service
The team turned up on time to move 3 furniture items, 6 boxes and quite a lot of bags. Very careful movers, so we helped bring things down which helped to speed things up.
Move completed in just over 1 hour, so was charged for the extra 11 minutes. Over all, a satisfactory experience.
I gave 3 stars because although you were careful, you were slow going between the flat and van. The sideboard, was a chest of drawers and not that heavy.
Also the young man was doing most of the foot work, going up and down the stairs.
However, we were 'satisfied' with your service, just not a 5 star experience.

We’re sorry that our focus on caution was perceived as a lack of speed. As the senior mover, part of my role is to manage the balance between speed and the protection of your belongings.
For fragile items like the unboxed Hollywood mirror, my responsibilities go beyond just moving between the flat and the van.
Actively organizing, padding, and securely loading these items at the van is a specialist task, designed to minimize the risk of damage.
While this aspect of our work may not be as visible, it is essential for delivering a damage-free result.
To optimize our process we also implemented a “chain phase” where I met the other mover halfway instead of us both covering the full distance.
This is a standard technique intended to streamline workflow, though we understand it may not always appear as the fastest approach.
We deeply apologize that any part of our method made you feel you needed to assist.
Your experience matters greatly to us, and we appreciate your input as an opportunity to better explain and improve our service in the future.

Top guy great experience
I booked the hourly man and van service to help me move from one flat to another and honestly, it was a great experience from start to finish. Everything was done within the exact timeframe I expected, no messing around – just straight business. The team was fantastic, professional, and genuinely honest.
The night before my original move, I had an issue where my lift broke literally 10 minutes before they were due to arrive. I had already paid my deposit and had to cancel last minute, which I thought would cost me extra. But instead of charging me twice, they were really understanding and simply carried my deposit over to the next day when the lift was working. That kind of fairness and honesty is rare, and I really appreciated it.
On moving day, the job was smooth, quick, and stress-free. Everything was handled with care, and the pricing was exactly as agreed – no hidden charges. I couldn’t recommend this company enough. If you want reliable, honest, and hardworking people to help you move, these are the guys to call.
