I had a small pru pension which I claimed . It took months as I live in turkiye. Because of the time frame they sent me a cheque to my UK Postal address. They were aware I only recieve post via a friend once a year . The cheque arrived 6 months after issue and I have no means of cashing it as I no longer hold a UK bank account, which they aware of .and due to time they have closed my pru account and so I can no longer log in to my account. I have emailed them 3 times with no reply!
Following on from my original review. Pru advised they would send an electronic transfer to my account that they sent payments previously, and after waiting 10 working days and nothing arrived I again contacted them , to be told they would need to investigate! Still waiting, emails being ignored and no updates ! Their investigation is of no interest to me as I can prove nothing has arrived my end . 8 months now since the compensation was issued. Enough is enough just pay what I am owed!

The initial contacts were time consuming and difficult, however when I did eventually get to speak to someone on the telephone all of the issues were dealt with politely and efficiently and I could not have wiashed for more.

Awful experience+
We inherited a Pru bond following our mother's death in September 2024. The first request to sell was made in February 2025. It has now taken Pru eleven months to finally pay out all of our money. The whole experience has been incredibly frustrating with endless requests to resubmit forms, some of which had become out of date after Pru's own delays, requests for information and at least two weeks to respond to each email. This was despite the best efforts of our constantly embarrassed financial adviser.
Overall this company has been extraordinarily inefficient and unhelpful. It's actions contrast dramatically with a number of other financial organisations we dealt with and who paid out within a few short weeks.
Avoid.

STOP SENDING MAIL TO MY ADDRESS
I have received yet another mailing from Pru for my ex-partner. We separated more than 10 years ago. I have called Pru, numerous times these past 10 years advising of this change. My ex is in prison for a serious crime, and I still have this constant reminder coming through my letterbox. What do I have to do to get you to stop sending post to my address. This is bordering on harassment.

Great customer service and efficient staff.
I have had a Pru investment account for…15 years
I have had a Pru investment account for 15 years and I used to use the on line system for withdrawals .For some reason they stopped me using it and I have had to revert to paper and post ,I complained about this and their response was to withdraw my on line access .I raised a complaint and was told it would 4 weeks ,we are now at week 7.Spoke to someone in India ,absolute waste of time then they put the phone down on me .I am now up the creek without a paddle and I can only assume the way to get any service will need to be via the FCA .
Do not buy investments from this company as the service levels are awful and they are trying their hardest to upset clients and destroy the good name that they once had

My late brother died 11 years ago and…
My late brother died 11 years ago and have dealt with Prudential for almost a year. They still wont pay out his pension. The lawyer I asked to deal with it is also having difficulty despite them receiving my brother’s will and all information necessary. A horrible company to deal with. I would never recommend Prudential to anyone. We have had so much stress and still no sign of them paying out!!!

Take too long so you lose money
My late father had a policy that I and my brother inherited. Unfortunately prudential take long keep asking for same info over and over making things take too long. Now as they made it take over 2 years dragging their heels we have list 45 percent. This is disgusting. Why did he bother. Looking through company reviews this seems to happen regularly and seems a little suspicious. I sense some sort of conspiracy going on here. I am taking further and will sue if have to it is not on at all. Disgusting practice

Extremely Poor Customer Service
I submitted my AVC application over two months ago and have been chasing updates ever since. Response times are incredibly slow — emails supposedly take about two weeks to reply, but often I received no response and had to call instead. Even when they do reply, there is no real resolution.
I submitted the completed form through my employer and also sent a copy myself, yet I am still being told to wait another two weeks, only to potentially be told they haven’t received it.
The whole process is unbelievably frustrating, with poor communication and no clear accountability. For something as important as pension contributions, this level of service is unacceptable.

the worst customer service i hae ever endured , they couldnt speak english properly they could not understand me and ive called 5 times and had the same issue each time , its a utter joke ive given up now

A mixed response using Pru M&G secure email.
I have had a very mixed response from using the Pru M&G secure email platform. Service has not been what I expected, as in, I have had to wait weeks for a response. I see that comments made on Trustpilot regarding Pru are all answered promptly by Pru, much faster in fact than on their own Pru platform. The staff are wonderful, but the secure email platform leaves a lot to be desired as a means of communication.
