Mariner Finance, LLC (“Mariner”) and/or WebBank, as applicable, (collectively “Lender,” “we,” or “us,” as applicable) offers personal loans from $1,000 to $25,000, with minimum and maximum amounts dependent on the underwriting of the loan and subject to applicant’s satisfaction of eligibility requirements and approval by Lender, and an applicant’s state of residence for Mariner-originated loans. Terms and conditions apply.
†Online loans between $1,500 and $14,000, originated by WebBank, except online loans in CA and MD originated by Mariner Finance, LLC. Loans greater than $14,000 or less than $1,500 may be originated by Mariner through Mariner’s branch network. Any stated APR represents the cost of credit as an estimated yearly rate, and each applicant’s specific interest rates and fees are determined as permitted under federal or state law (as applicable) based upon loan amount, term, the applicant’s ability to meet specific credit criteria including, but not limited to, credit history at the time of application, income, debt payment obligations, and other factors such as availability of collateral, and state of residency for Mariner-originated loans. Not all applicants will qualify for the lowest rates or larger loan amounts, which may require a first lien on a motor vehicle not more than ten years old titled in the applicant’s name with valid insurance. Any loan by phone and/or online closing process requires a compatible mobile or computer device on which you can access your email and electronic documents. Not all loan types are eligible for loan by phone or online loan closing.
*The process uses a “soft” credit inquiry to determine whether a loan offer is available, which does not impact your credit score. If you continue with the application process online and accept a loan offer, or are referred to a branch and continue your application there, we will pull your credit report and credit score again using a “hard” credit inquiry. This “hard” credit inquiry may impact your credit score.
**Mariner Finance’s 15-Day Satisfaction Guarantee provides that if, for any reason, you inform us that you are dissatisfied with your loan and you repay it in full within 15 days of the date of the loan in the form of cash or certified funds, all finance charges will be waived with no penalties. A cancellation of your Mariner Finance loan will not impact, affect, and/or cancel the terms of any purchase of a vehicle or other item(s) with the proceeds of your loan. Additionally, your return to the dealer or seller of any vehicle or other item(s) purchased with your loan proceeds will not constitute a cancellation of your Mariner Finance loan.

Terrible experience, it feels like a SCAM
I had a terrible experience with Mariner Finance this past week. I submitted all required documentation, send all the POP that had to be done within minutes of requesting the information. The whole process started on Saturday the 5th April. I completed everything by Monday morning 10:00 just to find out that the transfer will not be done as the Boss is not there to authorize the transfer. Tuesday came with excuses, Wednesday came still no transfer, thus after the lady gave me her word that all is in order. Never the less, I ended up with my daughter not having any place to sleep as we needed the money for her lease agreement. I cancelled the application. Waiting for my monies to be paid back.. Now my messages are being read but no answer is being given to find out when am I getting my money back.

I always got approved
I always got approved. Even when I had bad credit. The app is so much easier to make payments as well. Yes, the interest rates are a little high but it goes according to your credit score.

Is Mariner Finance South Africa a Scam?
This review is not to tarnish Mariner Finance in the US but to alert the company and potential "clients" in South Afrca about Marinerfinances.co.za, a scam company in South Africa, with no offices.
I applied for a R100 000. They approved it. I signed a Loan Acceptance form and paid a Loan accepted fee of R3000. They sent me another with I have to return with R2800. I don't have this R2800. Now they tell me the R2999 I paid is nonrefundable and I didn't get the loan. This is their office in Cape Town, South Africa. Do you have an office in Cape Town, South Africa and a lady named Victoria with a lawyer S Rakgoba?

Fast, easy process!
The process for my loan was 100% online and approval was instant. I do not have perfect credit either. Forms were easy to complete and documentation was easy to upload. I received multiple offers to choose from and all terms were upfront and clear. Money arrived in my bank account by the end of the next day. Definitely recommend.
