Purchased and installed Marley Modern smooth grey roof tiles April 2022 .
1 ) Corners by drip grooves are way too fragile
2 ) Tile coating (colour dark grey) ...not uniform especially on the tile's bottom edge .
3 ) Lots of broken and marked tiles straight away after unwrapping pallet ....so they were packed that way at the factory.

The time for quality control is :
1. When the tiles come off the manufacturing line
2. When the tiles are packaged before transit to a distributor

Thereafter no-one can check them until they arrive on site and the packaging is opened .
If they are getting damaged in transit , it's fair to assume the packaging is inadequate......but that doesn't solve the issue of the coating being inconsistent.
Once the new tiles arrive on site, the roof has usually been stripped , felted and battened .....way too late to begin another "quality control check and sort" when the pallet is opened .
Whilst I thank Marley for their offer I believe their time would be better spent improving QC at the factory .
I will simply order another case of tiles next summer and replace as needed.

Poor quality, had two pallets delivered to my house and they were all no good over 750 of them cracked to black , should of been terracotta and glaze was a bad finish,ordered more tyles and they were also very bad

I requested a number of samples after a telephone conversation with Sales Exec Julie, and we received them neatly boxed and unbroken within a couple of days. Very happy with the service and prompt supply of samples.

Tile quality is absolutely rubbish these days. I chucked away 209 moderns out of 700 today ! Luckily im a key account customer and my supplier gave me the replacements for free.But my supplier will have to swallow this as you Marley are useless people that earn millions but dont except returns of your shocking products. If you marley were to buy lets say 100 bags of sand and 70% were either damaged or missing would you pay the supplier ? I dont think so.

I had great service from Natalie Allison, she was a life saver in helping me find a replacement verge tile thats at least 25+ years old from my parents house.

She found the tiles and stockist - SIG in Edinburgh and the contact Craig who also sourced and personally collected these tiles.

My folks house will soon be weather tight thanks to Natalie Allison and the SIG team.

Purchased Marley modern roof tiles - All tiles are misformed and the drip bars are cracked. They break very easily. Just very poor quality, very disappointed with the product.

3 to 5 days, 10 days later and still waiting for the delivery

Ended up paying £25 for a single ridge end cap tile once extortionate shipping charges were added ... and 2 weeks later still no sign of it.

Very disappointed with the quality of the decking boards supplied. The non slip element is great, however laying them has been a nightmare. Most of the boards are bowed sideways to some degree, one has a deflection of 25mm in the middle. I don’t yet know if that one is useable without cutting it into sections. I would not recommend this manufacturer for your decking.

Idiotic labelling of products. I've been so confused ordering roof tiles for my house. There are 2 models of old English dark red, except only one of them is dark red 'Edgemere' (18mm thick). I ended up in confusion ordering 'Modern' (30mm thick) model and this certainly isn't so dark red.

Not easy now changing the roof tiles so look like I'm stuck with my new roof and remain unhappy for 20 years of my life or longer stuck with roof tiles I didn't want - thanks a lot.

Placing roof tiles is a big thing you can’t change them like changing the wrong clothes from a shop.

Please learn to market your products better. Make YouTube videos showing the range of your products not one or two about Solar tiles.
We need to see clear differences between tile products and how they look on actual real houses.
5 examples of each tile product.
Show different colours, styles, thicknesses and size.

We don’t have showrooms anymore and its really hard selecting products

The only place that seems to sell Marley products outside of the M25 is Marley themselves. Everywhere else is going with the universal generic version. Something to consider when repairing or refurbishing properties I guess.

I made silly error and didn’t accept samples as I’d been having trouble with scam postal charges. No quibbles, no buts, Julie sent me second set immediately. Can’t do better then that.
