Good recipes but recently the veg has been very small. Red onions smaller than a shallot. Stuff like that.

The menus are typically very good but the packaging and production line seem to have some problems.The quality of fruit/vegetables is sometimes questionable-wilted, brown spots, mushy. The frozen gel packs have failed leaving the cold items room temperature and everything else covered in gel. And the timely deliveries is an ongoing issue. Sometimes 1 day late, occasionally 2 days late But This week No delivery. The delivery company says “item not received”. Marley Spoon says nada.

DO NOT USE! Ok food/packaging...HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Their delivery driver backed into one of our granite driveway posts causing $700's worth of property damage. After multiple communications with pictures and repair estimates, they have refused to offer any compensation. And suggested that I pursue legal action against THEIR delivery service!

I love the concept of Marley and spoon. I love how simple the recipes are to follow. I do not like the fact that the portions are so small. It is mainly the meat, the protein portion is maybe 4 oz to 5 oz each person.
First box forgot both of my steaks. Offered an $11 credit for future use and after several emails (I could not get ahold of a living person with their customer service) than the offered $15. Next box I reordered the steak and they substituted chicken breast for steaks. WTF!? I just wanted some steaks. They also forgot ingredients and again offered minimal future credit. I just cancelled the service and went to Sunbox and Green Chef. Marley Spoon was the worst food delivery box I used because food was missing, customer service was terrible, and I just prefer to use their recipes and buy my own food now b/c their customer service is terrible and it is unreliable.

Easy to order and very convenient when cooking for two
Ingredients are unsatisfactory.
one of the recipes this week used bok choy. I got 3 bok choy for 4 meals, and it was supposed to be baby bok choy, while I received larger bol choy, which are cheaper and tougher.
Another recipe this week had lemon in it, it said 1 lemon required, which was provided. Recipe said to squeeze out 3 tablespoons of juice and cut the rest to wedges, which is laughable, the lemon provided was smaller than a lime, I got 2tbsp of juice from it, Marley Spoon is sooo cheeeeap

I can't get into my account. It says my email is wrong, but you keep sending me the notices and menus to select from, but I can't to make the changes.
I have recommended Marley Spoon to many people primarily because the food is generally wonderful, the portions generous, the recipes creative, and the instructions well done. I like that I am
learning different cooking techniques and that I feel like I’m an active participant in creating some really tasty meals. So why just three stars? Primarily because both the website and customer service are sorely lacking. It is difficult to pause the subscription for more than a couple of weeks; and when looking for help, the website promotes a customer service number that simply sends you back
to the same unsatisfactory website. I would also like to be able to gift subscriptions and not just give a gift card. Additionally, as a single person, I wish there was an option for single servings. All this being said, Marley Spoon is light years ahead of Blue Apron and Hello Fresh, the only two other meal kits I have tried, and I look forward to receiving my next box.

Have had problems with the last 2 orders. A $15 credit helped with the one before last. Two issues with the most recent one: 1) A corner of the box was split open likely causing leakage in one of the sauces, and 2) The wrong recipe card was include with one of the dinners, solve by printing out the correct one, but was an initial source of confusion.
The key positive is the unmatched selection of dinners.
Finally, a piece of advice from a market researcher, change your surveys when a customer opts out. Very frustrating, including response options which don't apply. Happy to advise.

I love this meal service, however, over the last few months, the quality has declined greatly. My box is almost ALWAYS damaged and I am always missing at least 1 ingredient. I hope they fix this soon because it is frustrating and I really LOVE this service!
Issues with every box. Ingredients are commonly missing. Everything is dumped into a single box, no matter how many meals. Very unorganized. Financially, they don't make things truly "right" when there is an issue, just throw a $5 credit at you. Meals are not impressive (not super easy, no WOW flavor). This has been disappointing. Home Chef is much better.

The food is more varied and very tasty in comparison with the two other meal subscription companies I have tried in the past 5 years. No problems with delivery or quality. Spicing and flavoring are very
excellent.
For the second time, I did not receive a delivery. In addition, the deliveries have been coming later and later in the day. In the past, I was able to speak to someone on the telephone. Being able to speak to a live person was very much appreciated!

We have been pleased with Marley Spoon. The meals are very tasty and it is a great convenience for not having to meal plan. I also have never had issues with meat leaking out of packages in the box like some other meal delivery brands we have used.that is a huge difference for me and an important one for food safety. My only suggestion would be to offer a few more lower calorie options.
I have loved every menu so far. I have tried numerous other home delivery meal companies, but none compare to Marley Spoon. I have been using this service October, 2025.
We used another meal plan for a few years and got tired of receiving sub-standard ingredients. We gave Marley Spoon a try and it’s been fantastic! So glad we switched. The ingredients are always great quality and the recipes are delicious.
We have subscribed to various meal services and Marley Spoon is far and away the best we have tried in terms of quality of ingredients, packaging, delivery and overall selection. There is just enough prep work that I feel invested in the meal. An unexpected bonus from this service is the inspirations it has given me to try similar flavor combinations and new recipes. I would, unhesitatingly, recommend this to anyone.
The food and choices are good. The quality control on the boxing of the ingredients needs work. I’ve had missing ingredients and recipes on almost every order. I don’t think Martha would like that.
