The recipes are fantastic. Good for a novice cook (my husband) to a well skilled cook like myself. The recipe cards give concise instructions and pictures. All the ingredients are fresh and hold up well. I had one experience with my box being 2 days late and had to call customer support. I was instructed to throw it away and refunded the cost.
Of the fifty Marley Spoon recipes I have made each
and everyone has given us a different, unique and
highly flavorful meal. There is usually a bit left over, as
well, for another bite. Preparation of the meals does
require, however, some lengthy, focused time. I also,
appreciate the ability to easily get in touch with the Marley Spoon staff to adjust our needs.
Overall they are doing good, but recently I’ve had some problems with potatoes being rotten. Tomatoes getting crushed in shipping, etc. They have some really good recipes but I feel that quality has decreased past couple of months.
Extremely poor customer service… my last several boxes have not been packed well and have had multiple missing ingredients in each box abd also had missing recipe cards!
The service has gone downhill streaming bad and their excuses that we have a higher volume of people calling us. I just think that it’s gone downhill and they’re not anywhere near they used to be. I’m contemplating changing to a different service because they’re so bad lately.?

The first box was fine but then when I tried to edit the second box their ridiculous excuse for AI sent me around in circles.
I like the service and my first box but I just wanted to edit my order and found it impossible. If you call their Customer Service # you get a message to visit their website and go through AI Bot. Grief! that is not customer service.
They seem to want to make it impossible to talk to a real person to get any information or actual HELP.
Needless to say I cancelled my subscription. Martha, shame on you!

The food is pretty good, when you receive it. In 6 deliveries, I think I received all my items twice. The customer service hands out refunds like candy because they know they are doing a poor job. I had enough of not receiving my items so I cancelled the service.

I’ve used pretty much EVERY meal kit subscription for over a decade and Marley Spoon has immediately become my all time favorite! First, the site itself is so gorgeous and so easy to navigate it’s a pleasure to browse and choose every box rather than a confusing headache. The produce and proteins are extremely high quality, and all ingredients are sourced from great companies. Best of all, the recipes are delicious and creative, even the ones in my favorite category that only take 15-45 minutes. Also, the Market feels like a separate great little store, perfect for grabbing some easy fast stuff and treats, My ONLY tiny complaint is that I wish the cooking instructions were formatted as a list to see at a glance, rather than having to read a bit more carefully than some other meal prep recipes. But I’ve gotten used to that small difference, and the steps are very clearly described and simple. Thanks, Martha!!! Totally get why this is the company she approves :). It’s a cut above the rest, for sure.
Cant get a hold of company. Missing 4 meals. tried phone, chat and email and no response other than saying would get back to me within 72 hours. I'm not getting a good first impression with this company when my first order was handled this way.

The food ideas are great.
Need help with what the volume of different size bowls (8oz in brackets please?)
Need help with labeling of herbs and veggies. Please have recipe match name on bag exactly.
Also prefer ‘generic’ name of item …. Soy sauce, not tamari, which has a different meaning for me.

You have been very good for a few years but not so the past few weeks. It is unfortunate but you have been slipping the past few weeks. Ingredients missing, wrong protein for the recipe cards in the box, a double order (same box twice), meat way too tough to eat. If this continues we might have to change meal plan companies.

I ordered my first week’s worth of 6 meals and a market meal. I received the order on time but when I opened the box found only a few items of one meal and nothing of everything else. Essentially I got nothing. How can this happen? I immediately reached out to customer service on the app with my complaint. I received a generic response offering $15 towards my next purchase. I sent again to more adequately explain the issue and same response. I called the customer service line to a message that they are experiencing a high volume of calls and redirected me to the app or email. I sent to email twice with pictures and detailed explanation of the issue. No response yet. I have since advised my credit card company of fraud. This is utterly unacceptable and I have now made it my mission to expose obvious ineptitude at best and outright fraud at worst.

The food is great. However, the service is terrible. There has been something wrong--missing ingredients, damaged ingredients, missing/wrong recipe cards, etc.--with almost every box we have received. In one case, we were even missing the main protein for one of the dishes. For the prices, this needs to be fixed.

Quality of ingredients hasn't been the best - portions are pretty small as well. I'm iffy about keeping this subscription service. I've used them for over 3 years, but the quality has gone downhill.

The recipes are always spot on, the ingredients are fresh and the meal plan I have chosen provides me with healthy meals that are filling enough that I'm not snacking throughout the night.
I want to love this company because they have so many great choices in meals; however their customer service is HORRIBLE. I got one meal that was inedible and it’s taken Weeks to get back to me via email, dropped twice via chatbot, and then a phone number that tells you to use their chatbot or email via message!!! Still haven’t got resolve.

We have been using Marley Spoon for several years after having tested several other popular meal delivery companies. We have stayed with MS because they seem to have the largest choice of meal plans, especially vegetarian, and the deliveries are reliable.
Delivery is terrible. Two boxes never arrived. The boxes that do arrive are usually a day late. Repeatedly I contact customer service and have NEVER received a response. The products and recipes are fantastic but something needs to be done about shipment and customer service immediately
