Android connect niet, IOS werkt perfect

November 2024 twee meaters pro + aageschaft. Heeft in het begin top gewerkt. Maar sinds 4 weken niet meer te koppelen op android telefoon.

Diverse android yelefoon geprobeerd allemaal het zelfde probleem, geen verbinding of verbinding verbreekt.

Waarschijnlijk gekomen door laatste update. Maar volgens support kon dat niet. Met support diverse testen en procedures gevolgd, geen verbetering.

Getest op Iphone en Ipad. Direct een verbinding en valt niet weg. Werkt dus op IOS prima.

De conclussie die ik kan trekken is dat het een Android probleem is.

Support zo na 2 dagen terugbellen, maar we zijn nu ruim een week verder en het blijft stil aan dr kant van meater support.

Mehr Schein als Sein

Für diesen Preis nur Schrott.
Leider bin ich außerhalb der Garantie. Obwohl ich das Teil nur ca. fünf mal benutzt habe, löst sich der Kleber am Stift auf.
Mit diesem Problem bin ich scheinbar nicht alleine.
Dies dürfte bei einem Fleischthermometer, das ja für Hitze gedacht ist, für diesen Preis nicht passieren.
Werde mir für die Zukunft eine preiswerter Lösung besorgen.

The new update is garbage and on top of it, it has connectivity problems now! I was thinking of updating to the new version, but not anymore!

I'm extremely disappointed with this…

I'm extremely disappointed with this product. It won't connect despite the probe, charger, and my phone all within 5 feet. Worst $100 I've ever spent, I hope I can return to Costco.

Can no longer recommend

When the MEATER 2+ works it’s great. Cooked some of my best steaks and even fried a turkey with it.

Issue is there is a 50/50 chance when I take the probe off the charger that it’s going to be dead or not connect at all. I’ve troubleshooted over the year and a half I’ve had it. Kept the flat part of probe spotless. Put a better battery in the charger. I’m convinced at this point that it’s charging to 100% and then slowly dying on the charger. Biggest flaw is that aside from a green light when you put it on the dock, there is zero way to confirm if it’s charged or actively charging.

Finally talked to support today, and best they can do is 30% off a new probe. Not sure if that’s worth it at this point. Wish I had reached out earlier, but always thought I was doing something wrong.

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars I would. We attempted to use the Meater wireless thermometer when preparing a boneless prime rib. As soon as we placed the prime rib in the oven and took three steps the thermometer disconnected. I gave it another chance tonight when prepping to smoke a brisket. Again as soon as I closed the lid and started to come inside the thermometer disconnected. I would not recommend this thermometer you will be extremely disappointed. I am going to continue to use the Traeger thermometer for smoking and shop for a better option for the oven.

Thing sucks

Thing sucks. Wtf is the point of it being wireless. And connect to my phone. If I have to keep my phone less then 5 ft away from the meat I’m cooking. I can’t even be in my living room that’s attached less then 15ft from my kitchen with out it saying it’s disconnected. Useless

absolute worst customer service

You have the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. No way to contact anyone without waiting 40 minutes or more and the rep I chatted with (finally) was incompetent.

Excellent plot product until you’re…

Excellent plot product until you’re outside of the factory warranty. One of my meter pro two lost connection with doc. Their solution was offering me 15% off a new probe or new products. When I informed them, they already have a 30% off on their website they check into it and said OK just go to the website and get a new one if you want them because I can’t do anymore than 30% off. So they lost a loyal longtime customer over $23.85 because that’s the difference of 15% that they could not stack on top of the 30%.

Quit working and won't replace.

I was showing my meater plus2 to my son in law and it would not connect to my phone. I haven't used it for a while so I replaced the battery and left it on my shelf for three months. Got it out and it still would not connect. Did all the things they say to do on online support. Still not working. Called and was talked through the same thing for 45 minuets and finally told that is nothing to do with what I did, but it was a bad probe. They offered to sell me the probe only to replace it for $40.00. I did not have that many cookies with this so I don't want to have another one that won't last 2 bbq seasons.

Great idea, horrible product

Great idea, horrible product.
This in theory would be awesome, however it can not keep a connection when the probe is in my smoker or oven, making the entire thing useless.
It uses so many batteries and it's overly complicated, you can't easily just set it up to tell you the temp, they want to set up cooks and save it forever, it's a bit ridiculous.
I've had this block for a while and really wanted it to work, but after multiple tries for different uses, these aren't worth the crappy bamboo the block is made from.
I can't speak to support, as I never reached out to them, they have videos and all, so as far as I can tell it is working as (poorly) designed.

A quite excellent product

I was at first wary of purchasing the Meater Pro, as it’s not cheap. I now know why - it’s quite excellent. I bought it for long slow cooks on my Kamado (frankly, I don’t know how anybody does these cooks without a Meater). It’s excellent for that, but I now use it for just about all cooking (currently there’s a leg-of-lamb in the kitchen oven with a Meater in it). Don’t hesitate getting one - it’s one of the best cooking devices I’ve ever bought.

When it connects it works fine but its connectivity is awful and very irritating when you are trying to time a roast and it just won’t connect - I usually give up- today was its final chance - they really need to sort this out

This wireless thermometer is pure crap…

This wireless thermometer is pure trash. You can't use it in an oven, you can't use it in a closed grill, you can't be more than 6 feet away. I couldn't even grill a hotdogs with the lid closed. I would send it back but it was a gift and past 30 days. 149.00 down the drain. Stay with a wired system.

meater support is horrible , waits are tremendously long
my xmas meater will not pair tryed to contact support recording say wait time is 20 minutes 60 minutes later finally hung up , tryed the chat so thing happen in the chat

MEATER is a good idea but unreliable.

We have bought 2 of these probes. The first one lost connection as soon as the probe was more than 1 meter away after 10 minutes. It got worse so we went back to using the old manual meat thermometer. A year later, we bought another one . It also was inconsistent in remaining connected. After 3 years, we are back to the old style manual thermometer.
It’s a fantastic concept. But I won’t buy one unless there is a significant change in reliability.

Terrible support

I have had problem with ambient temp that is clearly faulty as the second probe shows a more correct value. The same probe have connectivity problems. I have been in touch with the support but they only troubleshoot on a generic level and misstrust you completely. Bad service for such potential.
