Got a call back from Kevin...no other company I tried called me...so this was a lovely and personal service. Laura was brilliant in the office and Tony the engineer was prompt. He gave no nonsense advice, didn't mess about and communicated well. I know what I need to do, what I can do myself and got a quote as well for further maintenence. Got my domestic sewage pump working on the day...there was also a frog on it! ...along with some silt and other detritus. Very pleased. Competitive pricing.

Came when expected and helped in resolving our problems.

Metro Rod came and fixed a very difficult job that was left behind by previous builders in North Ayrshire
Left the back door as it was before and even lay new decorative chips which is appreciated
Guys were all brand new aswell

Young man was knowledgeable knew what he was doing and I felt every reassured he would do a good job.

Metro rod came yesterday and cleared a soilstep in a block of flats. It has been causing a problem for weeks, as always they identified and solved the problem. They know what they are doing.

I contacted Metro Rod on Saturday evening to arrange an emergency drain clearance and was quoted £168 for the call-out that night.
Shortly afterwards, the engineer (Steve) phoned to say he could not attend until Sunday. I explained that I had originally agreed to Saturday because I had been told the Sunday rate would be around £300, and I was not prepared to pay that. The engineer assured me that the original £168 price would still be honoured despite attending on Sunday.
Unfortunately, the engineer failed to turn up on Sunday as agreed. After chasing Metro Rod, I was told he was still on another job over 100 miles away. I was then informed that if he did attend later that day, they would no longer honour the agreed £168 price and would instead expect me to pay the much higher Sunday rate.
I find this completely unacceptable. The delay was caused entirely by Metro Rod, not by me. I was willing to pay the agreed price after the work was completed, but I should not be expected to pay extra because the company was unable to honour its own appointment.
Very disappointing communication, poor reliability and an attempt to increase the agreed price due to circumstances outside the customer's control.

I have now been contacted by one of the managers who has confirmed that she is the only one who has the authority to agree a rate so fundamentally I’ve been lied to by other staff. This manager has now arranged for a technician to come out on Monday

Honestly don't get what their problem is. First time they turned up doing their road drain maintenance they fired water out of our downstairs loo and my pregnant wife is cleaning up possible sewage. Only to say to her "didn't you hear us knock?" with some other guy in the van smirking.
Second time they came back they did the exact same thing again only to talk to the engineers who could only apologise and after calling their office they hung up on me.

I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO CLEAN FOR A SECOND TIME LOO WATER FROM UP THE WALLS WITHOUT EVEN SO MUCH AS A WARNING THAT THIS COULD HAPPEN. A LEAFLET OR A KNOCK WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE. VERWOOD 3.7.26 @ 3pm

Mike from Metrorod Northampton called me quickly following my enquiry and arranged for his team to come next day, came on time and called before arrival as I’d asked. Kevin and Aidan arrived and couldn’t be more helpful, lovely people, knowledgeable and great service. Mike gave me the hourly rate and an estimate and they were within the hour that he said most are resolved in. Brilliant service all round.

After being let down by other companies I have a very good experience with Metro Rod Cardiff with a blocked manhole with complicated access. There was very effective and honest communication from the beginning. Craig came out and was very professional, polite and helpful. He made a stressful situation completely stress free. I was happy with the work completed, the price and would recommend to anyone.

I put a call in to have an external drain unblocked and it was passed to Metrorod Highlands and Islands (I am based in Inverness.) They were at my property within a few hours the same day and fixed the issue very promptly. The gentleman was so helpful and polite. I was very impressed with the service and how quickly things were dealt with. I would completely recommend this company based in H&Is.
