On visiting Motorpoint Castleford I was greeted by Michal Rybak who helped me locate the vehicle I was interested in purchasing. From the start of the process to the final purchase of the vehicle Michal could not have been more patient and helpful in dealing with my enquiries. At no time did he pressurise me into making a hasty decision which is very unusual in this industry.

Amazing Service and Great Pricing
I had an amazing experience while shopping for my car. I looked online and fell in love with the car and then when i saw it in person i just fell in love even more. The service from the staff was amazing Matt was my sales person and he helped me with everything that i needed and was super helpful, the pricing for the car was amazing and especially with the amount of miles it has on it, and Matt helped me with all the financing and helped with bringing the price down to a number which was reasonable for me. Thank you all so much for giving an amazing experience and Matt was amazing.

There is no hard sell at Motorpoint, it is easy to view vehicles on your own but advice is always given if you ask one of their sales team.
Having used Motorpoint before I knew what to expect and Kareem our salesperson was very helpful, overall a first class service.

Wanted to sell my car got it valued on…
Wanted to sell my car got it valued on line ,drove 30 miles to a timed appointment ,kept me awaiting 45 mins .
Their used car buyer asked to see all my documentation this was correct then hi checked my car and told me it had a mileage discrepancy and couldn’t continue ,which I questioned as the car had only had one mot with correct mileage shown.I asked how I could correct this ,he misled me and told me to ring dvla . I went outside and rang hpi services who informed a search had been done that day with a lower mileage entered than the mileage on the current mot , I gave the correct mileage and hoi corrected its report ,went back in and told thier buyer that I had corrected the mileage and the car showed correctly now ,he looked totally surprised and used every excuse not continue ,then said I would have to rebook for another day ,and get car revalued shock huge price drop . Just the usual unacceptable underside of the motor trade , went straight to we buy any car who bought it at the agreeded price ,avoid at all costs unless you just want a ride out

Good customer service
Good customer service, decent part exchange, good quality cars for sale and good post sales service. Not many car supermarkets or garages offer this but Castleford Motorpoint did.

Great experience
Did not know which vehicle I wanted, I had a list and tried quite a few cars and the staff were very helpful, pleasant and not pushy. The price of the care was fair. I would recommend buying a car from Motorpoint.

Having seen bad reports on other car…
Having seen bad reports on other car supermarkets I decided Motorpoint was the safest option. Good reviews mainly and I know a couple of people who have bought from them in the past and were satisfied. The process was relatively easy but thorough, giving confidence that they know what they are doing. Special mention to Michal Rybak at Castleford. It's only a week but I am really satisfied with my purchase. I had an internal 'knocking' which was annoying and he said to bring it in and they will look into it but sorted it myself in the end as it was just the rear split seat mechanism sticking. So far so good.

To say I am dismayed would be an understatement
Very welcoming staff throughout (including the online representative, Nicholas), a dealership with a vast range of vehicles to sell or finance, refreshments to offer to customers and test drives arranged within minutes. Quality of the vehicle that I viewed? Shocking.
I viewed a white Seat Ibiza which when speaking to the representative, Motorpoint was proud to sell. Questionable within itself.
When walking around the car, I noticed that the wing mirror had hairline scratches on the edge (I can live with that), after further inspection, there were 4 instances of shabby paint work to patch up minor damage - with a shade of white that may as well have been black. When questioning it, the response I got was “it’s the same colour”?! As if.
I was kindly given the keys to enter the car and have a look at the interior before my appointment. Only to find 4 holes in the seats - only 2 of them can be seen on the images on the advert online (the other 2 have either been edited out, or have occurred during cleaning and preparing). Needless to say - false advertising and misleading customers to come and witness such a scam.
Going through the car some more, giving Motorpoint the benefit of the doubt as the damage and ludicrous repainting may have occurred from a previous owner. I check the insides of all the doors to be greeted by melted chocolate and sweets. Needless to say, this is down to Motorpoint themselves.
More? I oblige. The drivers window had scratches from left to right at the top. I would love to say that this was minor - but it was across the entire length of the window, about 5cm from the top downwards.
For the price that was asked for, needless to say I was not paying. When asking for a reduction of the price, the representative scoffed and said that the paint work was fine, that’s how the car is being sold - and the “car meets our standards”… excuse me?! I washed my hands after looking through the interior of the car that they tried to rip me off with - meets their standards? I don’t think.
Going to the use of blatantly photoshopped images/awful CGI for the exterior of your cars - whilst you’re taking pictures of the interior… the camera will also work for the exterior; which funnily enough - can be submitted for online adverts and would save someone from using Photoshop. You never know, it might also save someone a travel when they see the botched paint jobs that I’ve witnessed today and truly reflect the condition of the cars that are being sold.
Needless to say, this was a wasted trip from the north east of England, but at least I found a (national) dealership that I wouldn’t waste the time of day with again.
