We had such a fantastic experience with Nova Legal throughout our house purchase, and we can’t thank Sumaiya Shabdeen and Kavindya Ratnadasa enough for all of their hard work.
From start to finish, they were professional, friendly, approachable, and incredibly efficient. They kept us updated every step of the way, responded to our questions quickly, and made what can often be a stressful process feel smooth and straightforward.
We were especially impressed that our transaction was completed in nearly half the usual timeframe, which was only possible because of their organisation, clear communication, and dedication. We always felt like we were in safe hands and knew they genuinely cared about helping us reach completion as quickly as possible.

We have just exchanged contracts on our property, and we honestly cannot thank Sajith and Aaqib enough for their incredible hard work, dedication, and professionalism throughout this process. They were both absolutely fantastic from start to finish.
Even though the company wasn't based in our local area, both Sajith and Aaqib were exceptionally approachable, responsive, and easy to reach whenever we needed them, which made a world of difference to our experience.
What really set them apart was how they handled the massive complications on the buyer's side. The buyer’s solicitors made several serious errors and oversights, including completely forgetting mandatory local council first-time buyer paperwork and misinterpreting managing agent requirements, which unnecessarily delayed our sale.
Sajith and Aaqib went way beyond their remit to hold the buyer’s solicitors’ hands, guiding them step-by-step through their own paperwork and resolving complex management pack issues. Without Sajith and Aaqib stepping in to practically do the other side's job, our transaction could have easily collapsed.

We are due to complete on our purchase this week, and I honestly cannot thank our conveyancer and senior accounts manager enough for everything they have done throughout this journey for my family and I. Chemini and Suzie are the absolute dream team!
Due to numerous external delays outside of our conveyancing team and our own control, our transaction has been far from straightforward, presenting challenge after challenge. Throughout it all, Chemini and Suzie have been professional, proactive, reassuring and incredibly dedicated. Their communication has been excellent, ensuring we were kept informed at every stage, and they have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to keep our sale and purchase moving forward.
What really stood out was the level of care displayed. We never felt like just another file on a desk. Chemini and Suzie took the time to explain things (often more than once!), answer questions and support us through some very stressful moments, particularly during the final stages leading up to exchange. Knowing they were in our corner made an enormous difference.
Sometimes things just don't go as expected, and when we were unfortunately faced with a delayed exchange due to internal delays from the other party's conveyancing team, Chemini and Suzie really went all out, seemingly without rest, chasing, coordinating, fighting for answers and pushing for prompt resolution, which I really do not think would have happened without their immense efforts. Their persistence, professionalism and commitment helped us climb a huge hurdle and cement the finish line, which is very much in sight, and we cannot stress how grateful we are for that.
The joyful excitement in their voices when they called to confirm exchange further cemented that they possess a genuine level of care and compassion for their clients, far beyond anything we expected.
Once again, thank you Chemini and Suzie, for your kindness, patience, hard work and unwavering support throughout what has been a very memorable journey! We couldn't have asked for better people to guide us through it, and we would absolutely recommend you without hesitation.

Nova Legal - Asjaadh and Michelle
Asjaadh as our Account Mgr and Michelle as our Conveyancer were great to work with through the whole process. They were always very energetic and enthusiastic and when we hit a bump in the road, they always gave 101% to find a solution. there were a number of unique issues in our situation moving to UK from USA but they walked me through them all. They were patient with me when I couldn't quite comprehend every part of a process like the proof of funds, and were meticulous in preparation. They made a great team and also communicated with the Estate Agent so we were always on the same page.

Appalling service and appalling customer care
Appalling service and then appalling customer service. Rang the number they gave me multiple times and never got a reply, my case manager disappeared when it got tricky, they didn't follow up on basic queries (resulting in me almost buying under false pretenses), and the way they have handled my complaint was a total joke. Said they were 'pleased they'd concluded their investigation' in which they denied I'd ever rung them and admitted their staff didn't fulfil their duties properly - outcome for me a lot of needless stress and upset, financial costs, long delays and the sale looks likely to fail. Their recompense for the failures? They said sorry and that they will do their job better in the future. They do not give a toss about their clients and I would not recommend them to my worst enemy.

The Best Support I Could Have Asked For
I cannot thank Kavindya Ratnadasa enough for everything she has done throughout my purchase.
Unfortunately, my transaction became incredibly complicated due to repeated delays elsewhere in the chain, changing completion dates and issues that were completely outside of our control. Throughout all of this, Kavindya was a constant source of support. She was always honest, approachable and compassionate, taking the time to explain what was happening and making sure I felt informed every step of the way.
What impressed me most was how genuinely invested she was in my case. She fought my corner tirelessly, chased the other parties relentlessly and advocated for me when I found myself in an incredibly difficult position after relying on repeatedly proposed completion dates. I always felt that she cared about achieving the best possible outcome for me, rather than simply progressing another transaction.
Despite working under significant pressure and dealing with an extremely challenging chain, Kavindya remained professional, responsive and reassuring throughout. She never made me feel like I was asking too many questions, and her communication was excellent.
Buying a home is one of the most stressful experiences you can go through, and I honestly don't know how I would have got through this process without her. She is an absolute credit to Nova Legal, and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

I would also like to thank Anuki Edirisinha for her support throughout the transaction.
