Very disappointing recruitment…
Very disappointing recruitment experience
I’m extremely disappointed with the recruitment process at this company. I spent around four hours interviewing for the position, only to be told afterwards that I had been successful and that I would be progressing with the role.
I was then left waiting with no meaningful communication for three months. Despite the time and effort I had invested in the interview process, I have still not received a clear update or any proper explanation regarding what happened.
I completely understand that recruitment processes can change and that circumstances can arise, but candidates deserve basic communication, honesty and respect for their time.
Spending four hours interviewing someone, telling them they have been successful, and then effectively disappearing for three months is extremely unprofessional and has left a very poor impression of the company.
I would strongly encourage the company to reconsider how it communicates with candidates throughout its recruitment process.

I used a few sales recruitment agencies to get my sales job and this was the worst one. The recruiter who contacted me wasn’t very helpful it’s almost like she didn’t really care. The assessment day itself was just very disorganized and chaotic, I’m quite a confident and competitive person, but despite this it was just so poorly organized. Receive no feedback afterwards, despite requesting it several times and them promising they would give it.
Worst one of the sales recruitment agencies I’ve used, do not recommend.
Great
scarlet and amelia were so helpful and really made the recruitment process easy for me.
I was disappointed with my experience…
I was disappointed with my experience with Pareto.
Throughout the assessment day, I found parts of the process to be patronising rather than supportive. The atmosphere felt unnecessarily competitive, and some interactions came across as rude, which made what should have been a professional recruitment experience feel uncomfortable.
I was also informed that my transportation costs would be reimbursed, but despite this assurance, I never received the reimbursement. After several months, I am still waiting for feedback on my assessment day performance, despite following up.
I appreciate that recruitment processes can be competitive, but clear communication, respectful treatment of candidates, and honouring commitments such as agreed travel reimbursement are important. Unfortunately, my experience fell well below those expectations.
I found the assessment day itself to be…
I found the assessment day itself to be well organised, and some of the exercises were engaging. During the day I received positive verbal feedback on both the hot air balloon exercise and my cold-calling performance, which I appreciated.
However, my biggest disappointment has been the lack of feedback afterwards. Despite waiting several months and following up, I have still not received any meaningful feedback on my assessment day performance.
Assessment days require candidates to invest a significant amount of time and effort preparing, attending and participating. Providing timely and constructive feedback is, in my view, an important part of the candidate experience, particularly after asking applicants to complete multiple exercises.
While I respect that I wasn't selected for the role, the prolonged absence of feedback has left me disappointed with the overall recruitment process.
Scarlette was great during the process…
Scarlette was great during the process of supporting me in finding a role. She was positive and helpful!

Pareto Assessment Day
I had the privilege of attending the first in person assessment day in Pareto’s new office. I was able to succeed, and was quickly notified by potential offers for numerous sales roles, and massively helped me with interviews until I landed a job. Many thanks to Scarlett and Amelia for this
I would highly recommend
I would highly recommend. All graduate managers were very helpful in prepping for online interviews and assessment centres, and finding a suitable role within a day of passing the centre. Thanks to Scarlet, Amelia and Katherine for your help!

I applied online and went to the assessment day. I received amazing support from Scarlet Aubert throughout the experience. I was then recommended a plethora of jobs until I found what suited me. I highly recommend Pareto and Scarlett in particular for their support in my job search. I was then placed in a role I absolutely love.
Avoid. A total sham.
I applied for a scheme, hoping to gain some experience in sales and take on a new challenge. I got a phone call from them almost immediately after applying. I was told they would ring me a few hours later to discuss more about the grad scheme position. I had no idea it was going to be an interview. I tried to do my best but was unprepared because they never said it was an interview. I said I was learning to drive, and was based in Lincoln. They instantly dismissed me rudely and shut me down, saying they couldn't help me despite me trying to explain that I can travel by train to places within an hour or two distance like Nottingham (which they DID have roles there avaliable). The man didn't seem to listen and said they'd keep me in mind but of course never did. They never contacted me again. I felt quite upset. But after reading into them more, it's clear it's close to a scam with no gurantee of a job. All the positive reviews on here seem fake and typed up. I don't buy it. Avoid.
Amazing Experience
A massive thank you to Pareto for getting me in touch with various job opportunities at differing companies! The process was so smooth and easy! The staff are so incredibly kind and helpful, and would recommend this company to anyone who want a streamlined process into going into a sales role! A key mention and huge huge thank you and appreciation to Ben, Levi, Lauren and Hannah, who are all amazing at their jobs!
Best recruiters in the game!
I had an unreal experience working with Pareto. I worked closely with a professional and personable graduate mentor named Sean Adams who went above and beyond to make sure I was prepared for the virtual assessment day. Would highly recommend any aspiring B2B salesman to go through this process!
Waste of time
Drawn-out process that doesn’t respect your time. Multiple rounds of screening, calls, and assessments, only to be met with generic feedback and no real transparency about what they’re actually placing you into. Felt more like a numbers game than a genuine recruitment process. Save yourself the weeks and apply direct to one of the companies they try place you in
Lauren has been amazing
Lauren has been amazing, she’s got me several great opportunities and interviews setup and has worked so hard to make sure I get the best out of them. I now have a great job and it’s all down to Pareto. Brilliant agency would recommend to anyone.

Rude staff
If zero stars were an option, that's what I would give.
I applied online for an Account Manager role and was immediately pushed into a series of "practice" interviews and an assessment centre. As part of the process, I was told I would need to deliver a three-minute pitch on why I wanted a career in sales—which was confusing, considering I had applied for an Account Manager position and have no interest in pursuing a sales career.
Before the assessment day, I was told the event would last a couple of hours and involve a small group of candidates. In reality, there were around 40 participants on the call and only three staff members present, with just one person doing all the talking. To make matters worse, they started around 20 minutes late.
The assessor was rude and dismissive throughout. We had to introduce ourselves individually, then go around again and explain why we wanted a career in sales (again, not relevant to me or the role I had applied for).
After that, we were placed into groups of eight for a cold-calling exercise and given just 10 minutes to complete it. Only three people from each group were selected to provide feedback to the assessor, while everyone else sat through presentations from every other group.
We then had an hour-long lunch break. By this point, we had already been on the call for three hours. The assessors returned late from lunch, and from 1:00 pm until 2:30 pm we simply sat waiting to be called into breakout rooms for our three-minute presentations. Once finished, we were sent back to the main call and left waiting again until 4:00 pm.
At one stage, all of the assessors left the call entirely, leaving candidates sitting there with no communication. They returned around 20 minutes later to announce who had been "successful."
Over the course of the entire day, I spoke for less than 10 minutes. What was advertised as a short assessment turned into an all-day exercise filled with unnecessary waiting, poor organisation, unprofessional behaviour, and irrelevant activities.
An absolute waste of time.
